if i am using my dad's statement of account. do i have to wait for 28 days? and do i need to write ielts to apply for visa because my school said that a B in my o'level English is okay.
Yes, you must wait for 28days. If your school has given you an unconditional offer, they'll tell you the documents they use to access your application. If they didn't require an IELTS, then you don't need it |
danny4sure: Thanks, ain't no guyOops, my bad ![]() Seems Abuja is faster, wish i could submit mine there. |
kellyemms: cool which day is ur test22nd. Interview would hopefully be on the 24th |
danny4sure: Got my Visa delivered @ home todayCongrats man. How many working days did it take? and where did you submit yours? |
You guys can book your TB test via phone, i just booked mine. You'll get the certificate the next day |
guiddoti: wow! It's my brother going for top up in elect and elect. B.Eng. He's still counting 28 days which we end on 11th jan. Have you got ur accommodation?that's cool. am still counting too, 24th january. i haven't gotten accomodation but from my research, it would be easy to find at keddleston. he will definitely get there before me ![]() |
errrm, maybe am not getting this but wats GUI? graphical user interface? or is it something else? |
Mrkossy's issue is more of the cost. @Mrkossy; everything is business these days. As IOM has gotten monopoly of the service, they have the sole disposition to set the cost ![]() |
UncleJJ: This is the very same reason security and forensics , is much more important. As a tech-person , i assume you have access to the internet and can google "privacy issue's". Facebook, should not be going through user's data: to the extent where it queries, it's databases to find out users location. I know this is only possible if you accept the request via browser , however this data as we have seen is shared amongst various research companies who are profiling users and document pattern's.Facebook will always work with what you give them. I fully support them analyzing data held in THEIR database. If you don't want you data being there, then don't register or minimize what you give to them. What i don't support is sharing those data with third parties. Nevertheless, i believe security is quite very important. But you gotta have something to protect (Data), knowing the value of it (Analytics) and then thinking of protecting it (Security). So, in reality, data still comes first ![]() |
Do you know about .htaccess |
kellyemms: u need to go book oh! cauz dey rilli lot of peeps dey wana do d test. so go book ur place. go along with ur international passport and 2 passport photograph and ur verification of payment slip dat u paid at d bankI wanna get to lagos a few days before my interview. This would now cause me to travel earlier. Do you know how many days i should like book in advance? Seems i will also have to call them on monday to get some clarifications |
yeah, the news seems to have gone viral May 2013, but am still yet to find close-by centers |
kellyemms: they referred me to internationalnow, this is disheartning. Must one book for it in advance or can i just go there and get done with it. hope it doesn't take time too |
royalsweetness: I applied in Lagos. The 6 working days does not include collection of passport. The passport got to Lagos after two/three extra days.thanks. they have lagos and lekki (still in lagos), which one exactly? |
pls, those that got their visa between 2 to 6 business days, where did u submit it? did the visa actually get to vfs within those days or was there also a waiting time before you can collect it. |
pls dnt get me wrong, this is not an arguement. i am just trying to clarify something to him based on total cost per complete transaction. a complete transaction is when the amount gets to the merchant's hand, atleast, in my opinion. And the fees involved is 2%+ voguepay is very good, i can testify to that. a lot of my clients use it as i always advise dem to, if they dont have d funds for the bigger processors. But we still have to state the fact. |
i believe you should calculate all charges involved in securing the funds from your customer to your bank account ![]() |
@op; voguepay's total transaction fees from the customer to yout bank account is 2% + 120 naira pls, read and digest their pricing page well. he already posted the link. |
guiddoti: Do we have anyone going to derbyyes ![]() january intake, B.Eng Elect. and Elect. you? |

miz Gene: How come u hvnt gotten a CAS by now?? Dts strange, I hope you make it sha.I've gotten my CAS ofcourse, i got it the same day i paid. Just still counting 28days ![]() |
larride: Why is this place deserted? It's January dude, happy new year ![]() |
Voguepay charge 2%+ Check their pricing page In the member area, you chose who pays for the charges |
OMOT4GOD: Hello everyone and happy new year.If you have gotten an unconditional offer, then you don't have anything to worry about. They will list the documents they used in accessing your application in the CAS, and those are the documents you need to apply for Visa AND submit during enrolment. If you requested for extension, you should have asked them for, exactly, the time you needed. I am also in your shoes, i just hope mine would come out in 6 business days like others testified here ![]() or hopefully, even less ![]() |
mrkossy: Also tell her that the world will be hers when she gets there. no disrespect man but i think you ll be better off if you do more reading than talking cos clearly you never read what i wrote or maybe you did and just didn't understand it. if you ll take one more look at what i wrote am sure i wrote something like "Re you bank cards, they will work perfectly okay in the cash machines as long as your bank in Nigeria will provide excellent service" does the phrase 'As long as' ring any bell? probably not. it doesn't mean her card wont work, its just a way to tell her that she needs more cash more than she needs her card cos the card might not be available all the time. but you couldn't read between the lines could you? Then you went on to ask "which card do not fail"? "cos its Nigerian"? so for some reason you think i said it cos its Nigeria? if you honestly think so then my bro you need to grow up!Maybe i came off as been offensive. Sorry if you feel that way. When i said overrated bullshiiiit, i wasn't referring to you but to people who always say so. Secondly, i never meant u're degrading Nigeria ![]() I am just talking against people who say Nigerian cards constantly have issues in the UK. For the food stuffs, like i said, i am sure of what i am saying. On UKBA website, they have a few list of things you can and cannot bring in. They have a very high opposing attitude towards liquid stuffs. For more than 10 years now, i've helped packed my mom and brother's stuff whenever they're going back. They always take ground stuffs and fish products. A lot of fish products for that matter. @bunburized; here's your links. Download the related documents at the right hand side on the second link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/customs-travel/customs/whatcanibringin/ http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/customs-travel/customs/whatcanibringin/bannedorrestricted/ |
Dkoo: my problem in UK is getting a job but if i will add anything to the conversation i ll say @mrkossy is right. most food stuffs are not allowed. What's ur definition of MOST foodstuffs? Can you give me a few list of what you're sure that's not allowed? |
internetpo: ;DSee your life. When we tell you to use Nigerian hosting providers, you wil be shouting.like seriously, did u just type this? where is ur server located? if i have issues with my hosting, can u fix it urself? or would i have to wait for u to call ur provider? which u would probably just send an email? can u tune ur servers urself? dude, tell that to idiotas ![]() |
mrkossy: Alright listen up i will state the obvious for you now and you will understand it once you get over to UK.Ok, i dnt need to be physically in d UK to know this is a bunch of overated bullshiiit. when was d last time u used a nigerian issued mastercard, 10, 15 years ago? which cards do not fail? cos its nigerian? the best thing for her is to carry some cash, simple. You won't tell me all 4 cards from differient banks would fail her at the same time. coming to food, MOST foodstuffs from Africa are accepted. they only have problem with liquid stuffs. The reality is dat u pay tax if some foodstuffs crossed a certain weight limit cos they see it as likely to be sold. @bunberized; go through the other uk thread from the beginning to like page 30. thats where u'll find most of wat u're looking for. you can carry ur stockfish but make sure u seal it very well. a lady talked about sealing options there too. You can also take grinded foodstuffs like egusi, ogbono etc. Am on mobile now, will post u a document on foodstuffs u can take and cannot take, gotten from ukba. just give me d address of ur restaurant wen u get to UK ![]() |
bunburized: Thanks. The statement I submitted was dated 4th December. By Jan 15th it will be close to a month and 2weeks old. This is false. You can carry 20kg of any fish products |
