meavox:
Power dynamics has changed. Power is now with MNN Alliance that is: Oduduwa bloc, Middle Belt bloc and Lower Niger bloc (SE & SS together). It is no longer with Arewa (and Britain). Britain is collapsing under Brexit plus it is a new country now that will not support Arewa and her terrorists.

This is the NEW NORMAL. We can tell Arewa to shut up as it is the MNN Alliance that now decides how and what happens to this Union. Spread the message.
That Middle belt is where the challenge is. They have subdued them there and killing them like fowls. They abandoned their languages for Hausa and allow Emirs rule in their lands.
That Middlebelt needs to be more aggressive and refuse to be brainwashed by religion/islam. And should have local resistance group pushing whatever agenda back to where it's coming from.

No matter how rich i become, i will live in modesty. That way you can shuttle between high and low. Life is high and low anyways. That's how i was raised.

RomanceRe: L Need Advice About Long Distance Relationships-he Is In U.k And I Am In Nigeria by spiralwedge(m): 9:02pm On Sep 28, 2020
funkybaby:
I am presently dating a young guy that is currently studying in the u.k. he was asking me out before he left nigeria but i refused to date him.he however came to my school to inform me that he will be travelling to the u.k, i wished him luck and i felt that he was going to forget all about me.To my suprise however, he kept calling and i finally agreed to date him (this is after a year and six months of knowing him). since july last year since we started dating, he calls me almost everyday and spends hours on the phone, he sends gifts, cards, money, clothes, i have also suprised him (so he says) because i call him frequently as well(i spend a fortune on phone calls just as he does), i send quality gifts, cards, etc as well to him from nigeria.the problem now is i am in my 5th and final year in the university, he is just in his second year(a three years programme), but i am scared that he might just change or stop loving me because i hear so many stories about the girls in u.k. i am worried because i will be graduating before me and there are alot of serious guys here in nigeria asking me for a committed realtionship but i refuse to give in.is the guy for real or should i just two time and have a stand-by boyfriend here in nigeria.pls advice
You started dating him because he came to inform you of his traveling and the actual dating started when he was already there?

Chai! Nigerian girls ooooo. Smh

The abroad mentality here is actually a disease and its a poverty mentality.

I lived in the UK, and believe me he truly loves you, but the problem is that you don't actually love him.

After his studies, he will either come back home, because of immigration palaver, or try to stay anyhow (which is a miserable decision/gamble which will take donkey years to yield any fruits and he won't be able to travel), or he will try and marry a citizen.
All the above is irrelevant if he is already a citizen.

I think you should stop deceiving him and let him face the reality and future in the UK. You should also move on and marry one of your suitors. The marriage thing you even carry on your head is another off for me. Tuehhh

The biggest loser is you and your ilks with such low IQ and bad English.

I am sure you are also in the category of dumbheads who still wonder why some people have satelite dishes capturing more than 100 channels with their decoders. To you, they are doing nothing watching all of those channels, but your sick poor head can't fathom how they are able to afford it and subscribe such huge amount monthly (apparently about your monthly salary).

You are, perhaps, in the same category of people who can not fathom what the fuss is about EPL, La Liga or Bundesliga.

Imagine someone like you made a minister of sports or communication, with this archaic mentality?! Perhaps, it is people like you we have been unfortunate to have as leaders.

Divanona,

It's good you forgave him. But he can always come to visit his son but dont accommodate him. Let him go to his family house.
Having a child for him doesn't mean you should marry. If you desire to help, help from afar.
Also, investigate very well what he had been up to all those years of absence.
Have a discuss with him along with your brother, let him know hes forgiven and can always come to visit his son.
A word of warning: whenever he comes to see his son, make sure the visit is supervised. If not he may disappear with him for whatever reason. And it should be like that until the boy turns 18.

Yes, so as to spur up tribal, language and religious conflicts as currently experienced by the ambazonians in cameroon and Biafrans in Nigeria
Well, that's an hypothesis.

However, looking at the history of Ghana, when it was to get its independence, the whole of Togo was considered matched with it, esp as parts of Togoland was British-administered and the rest French.

Ghana was first in Africa to get independence from colonialists.

BusinessRe: DM For Price: Why Do Online Vendors Do This? by spiralwedge(m):
I'm happy this is a topic for discuss.
The major reason is that they give customers different prices and rip off gullible customers.
Usually, Nigerians don't care about customers service. They believe in "chopping" now and forget about tomorrow. And I think it's because we have explosive population.
In other climes, you need serious and effective customers service to survive. You need them to come back again and again and to tell other people about you.

But here, we want to have 100% profit and sometimes, more. We are cunning and always want things fast. Our prices are not fixed across board, even PHCN has different tarriffs, nobody trust anybody so we bargain things ridiculously knowing that we can't trust anyone. People who should be honest also inflate their prices knowing that people won't trust their sincerity anyways.

This is a failed and ridiculous country and nobody is doing anything about anything to make it better.

As to the op, i don't bother, I pass. If you are serious and honest, put your prices there.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How I Lost A Potential Job Because Of My Denomination by spiralwedge(m): 8:20pm On Sep 13, 2020
wunmi590:
Good day nairalanders,

Sorry I have to write this, I have decided to keep it to myself but, I decided to let it out.

Just like every other job seekers who are looking for jobs either to switch to a better pay or change environment.

Though I have been out of job since the COVID-19 pandemic started, I worked in a retail company, but since we have not been called back, I decided to search for job.

I saw an advert and decided to submit my application, just like every other people, luckily after one week or two, I got a mail that I have been shortlisted for their online test and after I pass, I will move to the next stage which is virtual interview before coming to their office to sign my employment letter.

After the mail, like 3 days I got a mail containing my ogin and password for the test, fiam, I opened and I did the test.

After like another 3days, I got a mail from them that I passed the test and i should be expecting a whatsap call from one of their head office in Europe.

Luckily I got the call, from one of the European country number from a Nigerian, believing is the call that would change my life forever.

After the normal introduction and other things like the job functions, the real bible questions started which I was able to scale through it.

Towards the end of the virtual interview, the last question was are you a born again Christian, have you been baptised and what denomination are you?.

And I said yes I'm a born again Christian, I've been baptised and I'm a Roman Catholic.

At the end of my speech his response was, is not possible to be a Catholic and be born again.

He said once you were not taken to the river to be baptised that's not a baptism.

Catholics are not born again Christians and I'm not baptised too just because I was not taken to the river to be baptised.

His last statement was, you actually have the experience but, we need other denomination not Catholic that the job entails somebody who is a real born again Christian.

That was how I lost the job, thinking today being my birthday, I will go to church and do special thanks giving.
Catholicism is not Christianity. Sorry that you got to know this the hard way.

I personally classify catholicism as a christian cult, regardless of its long history. There are too many deviations from the scriptures, just like Jehovah Witness or the Mormons, for it to be called Christianity.

So I assume the job is a Christian job, which you are not qualified for.

A lot of nigerians are illiterate despite going to school.

When they say 3 major tribes, it doesn't everything must be grouped into these 3. It is disgusting to do so and also stupid. You don't even need to travel before you understand this.

Disgusting.

TGM2015:
Someone says, I would have been Christian if not for Christians.

Please tell the difference between what the man did, the way you are responding and response from non-Christians. Your own Christ and Bible taught you that using abusive words and shaming people is one of the values of a good Christian.

Bible and Christ said we should be promoting peace, I am sure you will agree with me that the action of the man and your own choice of words is geared towards promoting peace, right?

I leave you in peace.

Looking through your profile recent posts, on Adeboye matters and others issues, I sincerely agree that I need to apologise for engaging with you. At least, with the attached screenshot, I shouldn't have expect better and decent response from you.

TGM2015:
Nice one for your first paragraph and thumb up for your last paragraph.

But for your second paragraph, he should have reacted like a son raised with Christian values, born and brought up in a spirit-filled Christian home. Moreover, he is said to be a Pastor of church that teaches loves and praying for one enemies. If you don’t know what Christ and Bible teaches about love, forgiveness and engaging in unprofitable discussions, you can help yourself by studying the Bible.
The church should rid itself of hypocritical people like you who wants to control and judge how people should react.

Whereas, the Holy Spirit is not dogmatic. He dynamically uses every situation, emotion, knowledge, circumstance for God's glory, albeit unconventional.

The problem however is the pharisee, nay, you, who are self-righteous hypocrites judging from far, deluded of what God is doing in the now.

I wonder if you even know the history of the church and what apologetics is. I wonder if you knew how early church fathers stood up to defend the gospel. I wonder! I wonder if they were like you, the truth would have been passed down to us. I wonder if they had been stiffnecked like you and never yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to intellectually defend the gospel.

I wonder if you are even a Christian. You sound more like a Pharisee.
