Rising Nollywood actress, Stella Udeze who has starred in more than 25 movies said she once wrecked her bank account for love.

The English education graduate of Imo State University, opens up in this interview with TheNewsGuru on her passion for acting, her embarrassing moment, craziest thing she has done for love, among other issues


How has your experience been so far in Nollywood?

It's been a wonderful experience .It has not been easy but I loving the process. I have always dreamt of being an actress. I have passion for the craft and I am a lover of the arts .Most importantly it's a fun career and it's rewarding.

What was your first audition experience like?

I was so scared. But with time I learnt to build my confidence



Who is Stella away from camera and lights?

Stella is a go-getter. She is fun to be with. She is caring to everyone around her. She has a good heart.  She is an extrovert. I am unique in my own way. I am self- motivated and dependable. I never try to be a perfectionist and I am a good listener.

Have you ever had an embarrassing moment with a fan?

Yes!  It happened in a saloon. A certain lady screamed and created a scene, it was crazy. I composed myself and smiled all through.



What does love mean to you?

Love is deep. It’s a feeling that has to be expressed when you are sure it's what your heart beats for.



Do you think all movies should make it to the cinemas?

There are standard and sub-standard movies. So movies should be screened before showing in cinemas. Not all movies should be in cinemas.

Do you subscribe to the usage of intimacy gadgets?

I don't use it, I don’t know how it works.



What makes you cry?

I cry when my emotions are toyed with.



What is the craziest thing you have done for love?

I once wrecked my bank account for the sake of love, that was seven years ago. It is in the past now.

EXCLUSIVE: Victim’s sister details how Danish man killed his Nigerian wife, 4-yr-old daughter


More facts have emerged on how Danish citizen, Peter Nielsen Allegedly killed his Nigerian wife, Zainab Ali-Nielsen, popularly known as Alizee and her 4-year-old daughter, Petra in Lagos yesterday.

In an interview session, Madaki Gift who is the younger sister of the deceased, attested that she heard the victim screaming for help before she was killed.

The audio of the interview which was exclusively obtained by TheNewsGuru.com reveals that, there was no obvious altercation between Alizee and her husband before the killing took place, as she reportedly served him dinner before they went to bed.

She said, ‘My name is Madaki Gift I am Zainab’s sister, the late Zainab who died. It just happened over night when she finished preparing the food for her husband . The housemate went to her room and I was the last person to leave the kitchen. So after a while , there was a fight between both of them and she was just shouting “Help Help!!

“I woke my junior sister up asking her if she heard any noise, later I saw the man hitting her head on the floor. I tried to help but he locked everywhere, there was no way for me to run and call people to come and help.

“This was around 4am In the morning, by the time we got there later in the morning she was dead.”

Recall TheNewsGuru.com reported yesterday that the Police have arrested the suspect and commenced an investigation to unravel the motive behind the murders.

The bodies of Alizee and her daughter have been deposited at a mortuary.

The Kogi-born singer was reportedly signed to an Asian record label, Petra Entertainment in 2017.

It was learnt that the record deal package included a brand new Ford explorer, a house in Banana Island and international distribution with affiliates of her record company in Asia.

Meanwhile, the late singer’s record label has issued a statement urging the Nigerian Immigration Service to be on the alert.

The statement partly read, “Petra Entertainment Limited has received with shock news of the sudden demise of our artist Nielsen Zainab Joy (Aged 29) and her daughter Nielsen Petra (Aged 4) at their Banana Island, Lagos home on the 5th of April 2018. The late Nielsen Zainab Joy (also known as Alizee) was a Nigerian citizen married to Nielsen Peter Schau a Danish citizen resident in Nigeria.

“While we exercise restraint in making public comments on the circumstances surrounding the demise of Alizee and her daughter, – in order not to prejudices on-going police investigations – it has become important to correct some misinformation presently circulating in the media space.

“We call all law enforcement agencies to speedily unravel the circumstances surrounding the demise of these vibrant Nigerians and bring all complicit persons and/or entities to justice. In the light of reports suggesting that Alizee’s husband may be under police investigation in connection with these painful deaths, we particularly call on the Nigerian immigration Services to remain vigilant at this time and urge the cooperation of all foreign missions in the country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the relatives of the late Zainab and Petra.”

Before her death, the singer had been scheduled for the ‘Kingmaker Concert,’ a musical event to be headlined by Alterplate Music Company artiste, Harrysong.

A native of Kogi State, Nigeria, she was set to promote her January 2018-released single, ‘Alhaji Musa’, before the alleged murder.

For a while now, Nigerians have berated high-life singer, Flavour for keeping mum over the alleged gang rapes that took place at his concert held at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu on Saturday.

Attendees of the concert took to social media alleging cases of mass gang rapes. They claimed that they witnessed some ladies being ravished by hoodlums during the show, which was reportedly attended by the state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Esther Ijewere, coordinator of the rape advocacy initiative, Walk Against Rape{WAR} said it is shocking that the celebrated pop star is yet to issue an official statement on the alleged gang rape incidents that took place at his illustrious concert last Saturday.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with TheNewsGuru, she said:” First I tried to verify the story, reached out to the main witness who brought it to the front burner to confirm .After a long chat with her, I was left in shock hearing how these victims were ripped off their clothes and gang raped. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they are going through right now.

He ought to have allayed the fears of his fans and the victims, putting out a statement to show that the case will be investigated and also encourage the victims to speak up and let them realise they are not alone”.

December 17th was the yearly Olamide Live In Concert. The concert featured Tiwa Savage, Lil Kesh, Daddy Showkey, Ycee, among others.
For the first time in four years, Olamide the self-proclaimed King of the street, changed the venue of his annual concert from Eko Hotel Convention Centre to Teslim Balogun Stadium. He probably took the decision because the new venue would give him ample opportunity to connect more with his fans. However, he failed to deliver on his promise.

It hurts that I am writing this. Fans are yet to recover from how Olamide broke their hearts.
The crowd cheered, jubilated and the atmosphere became electrified when Olamide mounted the stage. Rather than performing for his fans, the reverse was the case. One would have expected Olamide to start his performance with a live band, but he resorted to using a DJ. His energy level wasn’t impressive, his vocals were weak. It was like he was abducted and his performance was supposed to set him free. His performance was more of call and response.

Fans of Olamide trooped in their multitudes to the Teslim Balogun Stadium which was the venue of 2017’s Olamide Live In Concert.

It was the first of it’s kind and Lagosians came in their droves to support one of their own.


Artistes like CDQ,Ycee, Tiwa Savage, Sound Sultan, Icerberg Slim, Lil Kesh and others lighted the concert up with their performances.

It was a night of unbridled expectations, expectations because 2017 has been a big year for Wizkid with him clinching awards and taking giant strides in his career. You could see the desire to see Wizkid perform written on the faces of his fans. Wizkid himself was ready to connect with his fans, fans he refers to as ‘Wizkid FC’.




Wiz ‘On the beach’ was the debut edition of the concert which also featured Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi ,Wande Coal and others.

Yesterday night, Wizkid can be compared to a King that was being coronated in his kingdom.The zest and energy exhibited by the fans at the Oniru beach venue of the concert was palpable. If Wizkid had fainted on that stage, the multitude would do whatever it takes to revive him. A certain fan was seen using his face towel to clean the footwear of Wizkid. For him, it was a symbolic way of tapping into the greatness of the singer.




So what exactly did Wizkid get wrong?







He chased away journalists cum cameramen
Wizzy got high on his own supply. No one saw it coming. The Ojuelegba crooner with wild enthusiasm mounted the stage, the crowd cheered and screamed and he got carried away by the display of affection from his fans.



“Eyin temi! My people. Let me hear you say yeah yeah” he said.

Thereafter he chased away the journalists and cameramen who were busy capturing the moments.

“I want to feel my people. Cameramen, leave this place. I want to see my fans. Move away so I can perform for my fans. Abi una deaf” he said.



The celebrity world and the mass media are inextricably tied together in a relationship that is both mutually beneficial. Celebrity culture is deeply rooted in the media. The brand Wizkid would not exist without the publicity garnered from the media.

Afro-pop singer, Dammy Krane in June was found with multiple fraudulent credit cards, according to the arrest affidavit filed by Miami-Dade detectives.

The singer was arrested on Thursday, June 1, in Miami-Dade, Florida. As expected, the news of his arrest sparked various reactions on social media. Blackface


Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, unleashed several scathing attacks on his former band-mate and collaborator, 2baba Idibia in 2017.



The former Plantashun Boiz member accused 2face of sabotaging his career in the music industry, saying he plotted to deprive him of shows for the past eight years. Blackface on several occasions rekindled his old claim that he wrote 2baba’s biggest hit song, ‘African Queen’.

For all of his proclaimed virtues, we all know Blackface is incapable of making another hit song. The problem is not that he cannot revive his music career, the problem is that he is focusing on the wrong battle.
