Sorry to say but this isn't a problem that solely belongs to Nigeria.

Nigeria is a microcosm of the entire world in a a way and we have our own version of everything.

What Nigerians have done is latch on to the worst, loudest and most toxic feminists online to push back against the current socially conservative culture.

The kind who say sexist things and downright incorrect things but use terms like "black girl solidarity" to make it more palatable.

I see why he would oppose it from a Conservative Christian point of view (a view which I am not in agreement with but that's not the point).

My main issue with feminism is how it trains women to assume the worst intentions in men based on their own personal experiences or their twisted ideal of what a man should be like.

Many "feminists", especially on twitter, are the sheltered, know it all type who can't even comprehend their hypocrisy and use well documented manipulation tactics to get people, especially celebrities and those in government to agree with them and they cave in because of money and votes.

Feminism as we are told is supposed to be about equality yet I'm not seeing much of that these days.

It is because of the "women are wonderful" effect. In today's world where you aren't allowed to go against the hivemind, the status quo is that women are always powerless victims of men who can do no harm to others.
