Spotlights:
Good day everyone.
GCMS note received today.
Applied 26th September.

Timeline.
Applied 4th feb 2020
Request for parents of custodianship declaration July 13th
AIP August 6
Med Req Aug 13th
Med updated Sept 1.

Passport request since July (but request not sent by IRCC due to covid-19)
Admission automatically deferred to sept due to covid-19.
Admission deferred willingly to January as AIP doesn't guarantee Visa.

Obvious reason for delay is deferment and maybe school not yet approved for covid-19 readiness.

HOPE ALIVE.......
MAPLE LAND CERTAIN.

NB: Application for kid brother

Please note that parents statements were confirmed multiple times as seen on d notes

This doesn't in anyways relate to AIP or Study permit.

This is mostly for other application type such as Tourism.

Kindly understand and digest the infos well

@luckymama
I will try as much as possible to be polite!

After going through all what you thought in your head and put it into writing condemning a fellow human like you, I wonder what your points and assumptions are for those words to be said by you.

1. Even if @frank has a connection and to get commission from any immigration lawyer whatsoever (there are 2 ways to advice- u take it or leave it) after all it's an harmless suggestions for you to have picked up on him and blackmailed him for you are not sure. (He never lured anyone- say what you know)

2. Getting GCMS notes that u claimed and reapplied till you got your AIP isn't your saviour, just take it that it's time for you to have it- circumstances do change and not that you're perfect.

3. Having a believe that everyone is poor and would want to stress their life over everything, you shouldn't be the judge of it. Judicial review works 70-80% once u have identified your reasons of refusal (after all, its not your money)

4. If next you want to advice, please be neutral for you're not an immigration officer / VO too. U can make your contributions more simple, plain and light that it would make more sense.

5. Next time, think about other peoples feelings before you drag them falsely. Don't be too loose to speak in terms of giving advice or words counter.

6. FINALLY! IF U HAVE WHAT IS CALLED SHAME AND CONSCIENCE, KINDLY DRAFT AN APOLOGY LETTER.. I BELIEVE YOURE MATURED AND NOT A CONFUTIONIST..

It will end in praise

Lol. Stay there and be forming voltron defender of the universe for what you don’t know. Are you aware that some of the “gurus” on this thread are actually business people? It is when you contact them outside the thread for help that they inform you there services are not for free.

He can very well have an arrangement with some immigration lawyers where he gets a cut out of whatever client he directs their way.

Somebody has been on this thread for donkey years since 2017 and is still here actively commenting because of the goodness of his heart. Lol
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Spotlights(m): 6:55pm On Sep 23, 2020
As his quote says (might be refused), yes possibly.

A paper application since February for a family of 3 (mother and 2 child) - just the mothers SP alone got an update for MER and to submit a new LOA even without AIP yet.(AIP dropped later same day)

Definitely it's a rare case to the common trend.

Anything is possible
All hope not lost....

Canada’s immigration minister: 56,000 study permits approved in first stage
Canada's immigration minister Marco Mendicino provided an international student update on September 22, 2020.

Marco Mendicino provided an update
Canada's immigration minister Marco Mendicino provided an international student update on September 22, 2020.

Immigration minister Marco Mendicino provided an international student update during a webinar today.

He made two notable revelations.

Mendicino stated that Canada has already issued 56,000 first stage approvals for study permit applications.

Secondly, as previously reported by CIC News, the minister confirmed that the federal government, led by Health Canada, continues to work with designated learning institutions to identify how they can physically welcome international students onto their campuses during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Mendicino, Minister Patty Hajdu is working to ensure each designated learning institution (DLI) has met the public health requirements of the province and territory they are located. This approach will protect health and safety of international students and Canadian students.

DLIs are universities, colleges, and other educational institutions that have obtained federal and provincial government approval to welcome international students.

Get help with your study or work permit

Some DLIs have indicated an interest in welcoming international students during the pandemic. However, due to Canada’s travel restrictions, most international students are currently unable to travel to the country.

The discussions between Health Canada, provinces, territories, and DLIs are aimed at identifying whether DLIs can safely form quarantine and socially distancing plans that would enable them to potentially welcome international students in the coming months. Under Canadian law, most travelers must quarantine for 14 days immediately upon arriving to Canada. Moreover, provinces and territories across Canada have strict social distancing measures in place to help contain the spread of COVID-19, although Canada’s coronavirus case tally has been increasing significantly in recent weeks.

In the meantime, Canada has announced a number of major policy reforms to enable international students to pursue their Canadian studies amid the pandemic. Among the reforms, Canada announced a two-step study permit process in the summer to give students certainty so they can begin their studies while overseas.

In addition, international students can study online while overseas but still be able to work in Canada under a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) once the pandemic is over.

The minister revealed that 56,000 international students have been approved for a study permit under stage one so far. This means that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has provided students with approval after reviewing each applicant’s letter of acceptance from a DLI, proof of funds that they can support themselves and their studies financially, among other criteria.

Once the students are able to travel to Canada, they need to complete a medical exam, criminal background check, and biometrics in order to get stage two study permit approval.

Mendicino delivered the remarks during a webinar hosted by the Canadian International Council, which is an organization that brings Canadians together to explore foreign affairs issues.

Mendicino made sure to affirm Canada’s ongoing commitment to welcoming immigrants, international students, and global talent in general.

“I steadfastly believe that immigration will play a vital role in our economy, as it has in recent years.”

fratermathy:
I read the entire article. It appears that the conversation on how to welcome international students in this pandemic situation is currently ongoing. It's good that they have a figure now. I had suspected that one of the purposes of the AIP was for IRCC to have a figure that they can work with when thinking of allowing international students back in.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Spotlights(m): 9:16am On Sep 14, 2020
It is 2 ways!
1. Maybe you were required to upload a requested document which u did or did not till the given time elapsed. (The column would show action required pending the given time frame while u upload then changed to submitted if you upload or the time elapsed without u upload)

2. Maybe your application was opened before and now its received and been worked on.
It simply with my first reason though.

Were u meant to upload a document before?

I don’t think you understand my question, it was your action is required for a month straight, now it’s submitted.

Dear Gurus in the house,
I just received an unsolicited mail from IRCC telling me that they have gone through my file and they can confirm my medical reports were received by the appropriate office (Nairobi).

What is the implication of this? I have written to IRCC via web form 3 different times. And have received 3 different responses after about 7 days of sending the CSE via web form- the last being August 31, 2020.

What should I make of this message received today? @Lekiboboe @Frankrobbn1 @Anon123 others kindly advise
Upon getting such response, I think the case is settled and it's left for IRCC to do the needful since you have a mail confirmation of the medical report been received

God is good.

The note says: He said 27yrs old male single no support significant previous travel to access as a positive factor, no support for any employment , mothers account noted. To study college certificate.
The applicant’s rational for studies given past and current education and employment has failed to satisfy me that the expense doesn’t justify the potential for improved career possibilities in applicant country of citizenship or current residence to present an incentive to leave Canada. Overall weak family and economic ties to of citizenship and current residence to provide incentive to leave at the end of any authorized stay.

[quote author=Austacus post=93608797]This has absolutely nothing to do with career progression or anything related to his previous course of study.

I don't know how to spice it up to him but I will repeat it 1 million times, HE WILL NOT GET HIS VISA with PSW.

I wanted him to ask me ’why’ not YOU! Hitherto, it's not necessary anymore.

God has spoken!

Even GOD in heaven doesn't condemn sinners like that.

Even if you're d consular, you should rather be lenient in your words even if you will refuse him.
After all he is a new comer, you have no relationship with him from anywhere.

It is absolute wickedness and evil for you to have judge his innocent question like that.
Be HUMAN.

Exactly! But just because of the secrecy in treatment of application!
A consular would just do anyhow and refuse.
Since I have known the VOs to be crazy was when a brother of mine applied with his dad to attend a conference in Canada, upon getting his passport he saw a refusal note in it where as he was granted Visa LOL.
