Peter Obi would resume control of NEXT limited

FD Yusuf is already marketing real estate

Rinu is in US working

Aisha Yusuf is in US

Kenneth Okonkwo is now practicing his law
It's a simple question that requires a simple answer with proofs.

First of all, if it were as simple as you have just stated, a judgement would have been issued by now. There's nothing more that Tinubu needs than the legitimation of his government. The very fact that the PEPT is still thinking of judgement means Tinubu is not innocent, at least not all of these petitions.

Secondly, is that with what we all know, if the PEPT does not disqualify Tinubu then just know that there is no justice in Nigeria and that the constitution is dead.

Nwanne, if you want to promote your culture just know that you cannot be an atheist because atheism is not your culture. Your culture does not believe in a divine void. Just as white atheist don't believe in their culture of Christianity.

You and the maniac fellow you're quoting are so simple-minded.

The English and American atheists he follows about online promote aspects of their culture online. He has no problem with that.

But once an African freethinker promotes his own culture, the stupidity of this m.oron kicks in.

The level of stupidity and ignorance I've seen on this forum is so mind-boggling.

You watch an English or an American atheist on YouTube discuss in English language, an element of his native culture, you don't have a problem with that.

But once a Yoruba or your fellow Igbo discusses in his native language, an element of Isese in the case of Yoruba, your madness starts.

How can some people be so daft! He doesn't even have basic knowledge of what's called culture.

And someone can be this ignorant in the Internet age.
My brother, I reacted to what he reacted to in my post.

I am not against language or culture or even the ideology any one chooses.

Just that if you have made a choice, stick to it.

You cannot attack some religions because you claim to be an atheist but defend another religion because of culture.

I need to find out if the meaning of atheism has changed since I last checked the dictionary.

It was a simple question, you made your choice. Since you made excuse for Maguire, let me make excuse for Holding too. The only defect in Holding is his lack of technicality. He doesn't have the ability to play out from the back. That's why he fell off from the squad. But in a huff and puff system, Holding na better defender. Maguire that can't even make an ordinary pass FFS.
I didn't really make any choice. I simply went for the majority opinion.

Both Holding and Maguire are similar in terms of their areas of strength and weaknesses. But when you place them side by side, Maguire has always come out tops. This is Man United former captain and vice captain of England (not my choice).

His problem is meeting fans expectations in a set up that does not favour him. He simply doesn't have pace (you added not technical).

But in a low block he will do well just as Holding. But general opinion have already favoured Maguire. Holding is no where near the NT now.

Well thanks to Arteta's experimentation. Everybody is confused of players natural positions now. I expected him to compete with White at RB but Arteta plays him more at LB... Ditto Tomi. Now we don't know if Partey is DM or RB specialist anymore.....

Las las everyone will find their level... Either we retain the experimentation if they are succeeding or get reset back to default with one or 2 unnecessary loses. Time will tell.
Timber only covered up at LB due to Zinny's injury and whatever issues he had with Tierney and Tavares.

Well, that is why I am mad about not signing a LB.

Again, fans must understand that we play a back three not back four. One of the fullbacks is actually a midfielder. Last season it was Zinchenko, this season we are seeing Partey.

Ivory Coast was going into a war because a president lost election and refused to leave

Ivory coast going to war does not protect Frances interest and they stepped in. Same way if Nigeria is going to a war, US and many western countries with business interests will step in and protect their own interest in form of business and citizens

Just to remind you again

You havent told me if it makes sense for the countries we are importing wheat from to insist that Dangote and Eagle flour in Nigeria close their factory and only open factories in the country they are sourcing wheat from
So you justified France stepping in to dispose a sitting president of a sovereign nation because of 'their interest'?

It is exactly this justification that I am against. It is because of this justification that Africa is unable to develop. It is because of this justification that African leaders are facing coup today. Those leaders want to protect French interest even to the detriment of their own people.

By the way, Ivory Coast was not into war. If there could be any intervention it could have come from regional or international organizations like AU or UN and not France or any other country for that matter.

As for your last paragraph, I know that it is your usual way of deflection way you notice the argument has lost you. I won't engage. It's a distraction.

As a coach, you need a b
CB backup but only two options were made available for you, Maguire and Holding. Who will you pick?
Maguire is better than Holding at both ends of the pitch. Maguire's errors are mainly when playing for Man United. In a different set up he may be very good.

When you look at Zouma for example, playing for West Ham, he will look like prime Maldini but that's until he wears an Arsenal shirt.

Don't get me wrong, Holding is a good defender but just lack Maguire he lacks pace which is the most important ability for a defender that wants to play for a big club. But apart from that he lacks game reading and ability to man mark.

In a lower club that will play most games defending a low block, he will be useful.

the oil Saudi and Qatar is selling to the West are they insisting on the West refining it in Saudi after paying you for the goods you sold. Actually economics and trade demands that when a transaction is consummated, the buyer should immediately take possession. If you want them to situate their refinery there, then dont collect money for the crude.

How do Western powers ensure that corrupt leaders remain in power? Do they vote in our elections? Did they vote OBJ, Buhar Jonathan or Tinubu? Did they vote Chime, Obi TA Orji, Fayose, Alao Akala and Dapo Abiodun?

Was it not fellow Africans voting these people into power? When Biya keeps winning elections according to the Camerounian constitution suggest what the West should do?

I asked if you are a child because you clearly don't know how international trade works

Nobody with spare refining capacity will buy your refined products. Oil is sold in barrels as raw crude as standard except the buyer does not have their own refining capacity. Even behemoths like Saudi and Russia sell raw crude. Nobody dey beg you for market, market price determines all things.

If you want refinery, you can make it a condition of tender and see who bites.

Nigeria has 3 refineries with Dangote to come on board. Even Dangote did not site his refinery in Niger Delta where the crude is lifted but set his refinery up to receive shipments in Lagos. It wouldn't matter if Dangote bought crude from Niger Delta or abroad he will still pay the market price which is currently fluctuating between $70 and $90.

It is up to you to add value to things. You can use $10m of Uranium to run a $10bln nuclear power plant, you say someone should build $10bln plant for you to buy $10m of uranium from you, when they can buy uranium elsewhere. Is that a joke?

You (Niger) don't even have capacity to run a nuclear plant nor have that much need for power, nor anywhere near the funds for yearly operational costs of a nuclear plant. Common Kainji dam already takes care of most of your power needs.

So your statement was just laughable and not worth discussing seriously, sorry if you found offence in it. I couldn't kill myself to point out obvious things.
The discussion was not about international trade but Western influence in the making of African leaders. The point was that having the bulk of the world's raw materials, if our leaders were independent they could drag industrialization into Africa through proper negotiations. If you had quoted my complete post, you would see where I was driving at.

I said so because I am informed that the reasons our refineries cannot work is because of suppression by the West using the leaders they have installed or control over the years. Nigeria would stop importing fuel for instance. This would create jobs and also bring development.

So the point of discussion was about Western influence in choosing African leaders.

Which is why I asked you if you buy phone, shirt or car and after you paid full price, they still give you orders on how to use what you paid for and you think that makes sense? After doing that, refuse to sell to anyone who doesn't comply. And lets se if you wont end up wearing your shirt

The west buys oil from everywhere including Middle East and no one gives anyone any silly guidelines

When Nigeria import rice from Thailand should Thailand also mandate that we must cook it in their country? or when we buy cars should they also insist you must use it on roads constructed by them
No. You completely misunderstood me.

Let me start by saying based of eoconics, It is a known fact that better business management mean locating industries at the source of the major raw materials to reduce cost of production. So these companies would be willing to do so.

Corrupt African leaders have meant that our industries remain dead so that we continue to depend on foreign industries for finished goods whereas if we negotiated we could have those industries located here thereby creating jobs etc.

But we lose these jobs, and still have to pay expensively for the finished goods to be brought back. This process favours the West.

It is my opinion that Western powers ensure this happens by aiding these corrupt leaders to remain in power.

If you want to argue, do it based on the immediate paragraph above (bolded) if that is not your opinion. Stop deviating.

Listen to yourself sounding like an entitled brat. They should give you, they should give you!!!!!The West owes you absolutely nothing! Are you gifting the West your crude oil and uranium for free? What have you used the revenue collected from these sales to the West to do?

Where are the working refineries in Nigeria? Whose fault is it that our refineries are not functioning? The West I bet? Away from crude oil, can we talk about the elephant project called Ajaokuta Steel that has been used to embezzle billions in the name of revival?

How has Africa benefitted parasitically from the brain drain through immigration?
The billions of dollars remitted by Nigerians from the West that is now sustaining the Nigerian economy is what? What has Nigeria done to prevent the brain drain? Are tertiary institutions still embarking on strike? Are medical doctors embarking on strike? are primary healthcare hospitals functioning? Should we blame the West also for these? So you expect young minds to remain in a country with no future because they believe in Nigeria and hate the West?

I asked you, why are African borders closed to fellow African countries? Why are African travel visas closed to other African countries?

I have travelled easily to other African countries for vacation using my US Passport in comparison to using my Nigerian passport (something, I will never dare again) as an African. Should I blame the West for that also?

You sold me a shirt and after collecting money you insisted that I must only wear it on Thursdays

If you want all these maybe you should not collect money

But mba you collected full price for your crude, gold and you are insisting on how the buyer that paid you have to use what you sold

If he likes he can use the crude to bath or mix akamu, Its no longer your business once you take your money for it

The crude they are buying from non African countries, are they refining it in Saudi, Qatar and UAE? Its this entitlement mentality. Why should anyone do anything for you? The Chinese mining your gold, How much are they paying for it? Are you giving them all these requirements as well?
This is what good African leadership should provide. But those we have as leaders are stooges to the West who empower them to do their biddings at the detriment of our people.

Why is Ajaokuta Steel not active? Why are our 5 refineries not active? You may need to know what IMF and WB think about these industries. I discovered that Nigerian government accept grants (which they steal any way) to make sure these industries don't work. To keep us in perpetual dependence on Europe and America.

If it is not symbiotic like you have answered, that means Africa has actually been the parasites that have benefited from the items I listed.

Who controls what? Are the resources in the West? Why can't African countries trade with other African countries instead of the West so they are independent?

Why are Africans leaving in their droves to the West for better pastures? Have our leaders done enough to mitigate the exodus of young and productive minds out of Africa?

Why can't African countries open their borders and passport to other African countries to boost trade and investment?

We know how Chinese company owners exploit Nigerian employees in Nigeria. How about Lebanese and Indian employers of labor in Nigeria? Should we also blame the West for those?

So what exactly is this debate about then?

African leaders have failed the continent, it is a non-negotiable fact that we must accept.
How has Africa benefitted parasitically from the brain drain through immigration?

How has Africa benefitted parasitically from trade with the West?

How has Africa benefitted parasitically from technology transfer?

In all of these Africa has always been on the losing end.

Please don't sound like the idea is to alienate Africa from the rest of the world. That's not the point. The point is that when we have to negotiate for any thing we should be able to engage with them on a 50-50 bases. For example, if they want our crude then they should refine it in our country. If they want our uranium, then they should give us their technology to apply nuclear power for electricity. These are the simple terms I mean when I say the relationship should be symbiotic.

You asked a question about what the debate is about and I totally agree with the bolded in addition to the fact/reality also that if we must deal with our own leaders we must also take cognizance of the West who support such leaders and force them on us.

I totally disagree. The amount lodged is insuficient to defend the peg.

When a currency comes under pressure and the central bank is determined to make sure it sticks to its value, it spends large amounts from its foreign reserves to achieve that.

Why haven't any of the Francophone countries that have fractured dealings with France ditch the CFA? Make they try!. Their economies will implode, the currency they introduce will suffer a free fall.

Between 2008 and 2009, Charles Soludo spent about $20bn to ensure the exchange rate remained at 120 despite the fact that the price of oil fell from $128 to $35 per barrel

Sanusi spent about the same thing in 2012 trying to prevent the Naira losing value.

When people blame Jonathan for the depreciation in the foreign reserves, it is the central bank governors that should take the blame and not GEJ.

We just want to believe a narrative that these rich countries simply want to exploit Africa and keep these countries poor.

Their policies in the last 3 decades prove otherwise. Keeping countries poor simply means emigrants from these very same countries will flood theirs.

Also, the richer African countries become, the greater the quantity of goods they can export to them bringing greater prosperity to all.

My narrative doesn't sound sweet. It's best to nelueve the IMF and World Bank only wish is to do the bidding of the West which is to impoverish poor countries and heap on them as much misery as possible.
The simple economics is that the inflow of monies into an economy strengthens that economy's legal tender.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 3:37pm On Aug 31, 2023
A001:
Africans have the bulk of the blame as far as the poor state of things on the continent are concerned. Only Africans can really change the conditions of the continent. You can't keep blaming the West every time.

As of now, Africa is still under Europe and Arabia as slaves, and the region will remain so for a long time.

Most Africans worship the God of the whites and Arabs, speak their language as the primary means of communication, prefer to name their kids using European or Arabic names, consider their ancestors as demonic while worshipping the ancestors of Europeans and Arabs.

The continent can't develop with this kind of slave mentality. The continent as a whole is still in slavery.

It takes a lot of intelligence and will to build a functional and prosperous society, and most Africans just don't have the required mental capacity.

It's just the plain truth. Blame your fellow Africans, not the West.

Development starts from the head, from having the right mindset, not a slave mentality. It starts from reforming the local cultures and traditions using philosophy, science, and critical thinking.

Most modern Africans don't have the mental capacity for these.

Without a healthy number of Africans embracing philosophy, science, and critical thinking in place of religion, especially Christianity and Islam, and getting rid of their ancient norms and cultural practices prevalent in African societies, Africa won't develop and grow.

Most of you people here blaming the West for Africa's woes are either Christians or Muslims. You're blaming the West without looking inward.

The more those two religions grow and develop on this continent, the faster Africa as a continent becomes worse. Only highly intelligent Africans understand this simple fact.

Africans should take responsibility for their action or inaction and stop blaming the West.
Africa is still suffering from the effects of Western colonisation. Africa for example should be a single nation state as being proposed by Julius Malema. But we were shredded into bits of mostly landlocked pieces just so that those Western countries can still maintain their share in Africa.

Look at Europe, one economy, no visas. Look at USA, look at Russia, look at China. Africa should be a single economic (at least) entity.
