raumdeuter: I made my choice based on what I believe is right and you made your choice based on what you believed is right
So which of the 2 different choices is right? possibly one of them is right and possibly none of us is right
I made my choice you made yours. My choice is right for me, Your choice is right for you. if the choice is not alright by you then its your problem, I have no responsibility to you but to myself likewise if your choice is not alright for me But you cannot blame me from criticising or insulting you if it happens that your choice wasn't right. And Vice versa Why? Our choices affect us both. It's that simple. |

raumdeuter: If you are mad at the choice I made and felt the need to insult me for the choice I made then its you attempting to take away my choice or deny me the right to make my choice which you may or may not like
You make your choice, I make my choice You: I can make my choice just as you and so don't criticise or insult me. It's my choice. Me: You can make your choice just as me, but since it affects us, we must make sure it is the right one if not there will be criticism or insults. Bottom line: if our choices affects others then it becomes a responsibility to make the right choice keeping others into consideration. You cannot make a silly choice just because you have the right to. |

The way its peddled here, one would think Yorubas didnt vote for Peter Obi and they were being attacked and brutalized all over Yoruba land.
Please Emaprince, tell us why even when we removed Lagos from the equation, Tinubu didnt get half of the total votes that Peter got.
Yorubas yen yen yen I know only a very few Igbo elite that did not support Tinubu. All the others supported BAT... Soludo, Arthur Eze, Joe Igbokwe, Uzodinma, Umahi, OUK, Rochas, Nnamani, etc etc |

Even in the best of times, ECOMOG is more or less made up of Nigerian soldiers and resources. The war front will be in Northern Nigeria yet you don't know it has become a Nigeria vs Niger republic war? How many soldiers do you think Liberia, Searra Leone or even Ghana etc can send? Do you think these countries will be so keen the way Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea will be?
Do you know the logistics and resources involved for these poor countries to airlift soldiers and weapons to Nigeria so they can fight over something that isn't their business?
You think Russia through Wagner group won't get involved too? Do you even know what's at stake for France and Russia, yet you think it would just end abruptly?
SMH. Shey the north voted massively for Tinubu. Let them enjoy it. We dey sit at home in peace. |

BlueRayDick: How? What I just said up there is a fair assessment of Tierney's game under this current Arsenal Set up. He doesn't offer what any other full back offers in the team as far as going forward is concerned. You are right. It's not say that Tierney is not a good player but that he just doesn't fit in to this set up. At best he will be an impact sub. Or he can reinvent himself into playing LCB and compete with Gabriel. |

Timber is a brilliant addition and we won't miss Zinchenko when he is in the usual injuries. As per Jesus, expect more pressing this season. League will be a three way battle between Man City, Arsenal and Man United. Tough season ahead. |

I posted screenshots of where NCG said arsonists came without prior notice and burnt their shops and houses. You said the report is misinformation.
Now, the police came to investigate the destruction, saying it was a fire incident, meaning it was like an accident.
Now, my question to you, how can police investigate what they did? What time is Arsenal Vs Monaco I don't want to miss it. Life is boring without Arsenal. |

monerozi5590: They mentioned three Hausa settlement.
Arungo Park Nakede Number one. Abu Junction.
Can you please confirm these three settlement from your sources and ask whether some people hijacked the whole process? This is an action by the state government and they used police and soldiers. I can assure you I haven't heard of any attack. Ordinarily the military as usual would have intervened. What I am even wondering is why the state government chose now to do the demolition as those settlements have been there for years. I also know that the land area is owned by government. These are usually areas marked for government projects like in the case of Avu (not Abu) there is a police correctional facility right there. At Nekede there is an air force base there. There is a police station at Arugo park. Nevertheless I will ask for more details. |

BlueRayDick: I already know u will not agree and will try to turn the whole thing on its head, but I just needed to correct that impression that Lagos govt destroyed shop of easterners in Alaba as if the shops were destroyed simply because they belonged to easterners and not because they were defective.
Enjoy the rest of ur day. The news article I posted you didn't react to it. If you want some arguments, let's go to Arsenal thread and argue who is better between Raya and Ramsdale. But don't come here and accuse me of tribalism. I expect an apology. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 9:07am On Aug 02, 2023 |
monerozi5590: According to Northern Coalition Groups, over 400+ shops were destroyed and thousands of Northerners displayed. Properties worth billions destroyed and some of the arsonist saying " Northerners should leave their land"
Are you saying you see, nothing wrong with that? This is clearly a misinformation. To place things in context, the state police HQ is directly opposite the shanties, and in front is a correctional facility, also there is a military barracks filled with northern soldiers less than 2mins from the area. So it is highly impossible for arsonists to venture into that area to attack northerners. As a matter of fact, that is their stronghold. When I read the complaints of the CNG, I called and asked for first hand details and was assuredly informed that it's the state government led by Uzodinma that ordered the demolition and he even used soldiers and policemen. I am also ably informed that he paid/promised compensation to them. What I cannot confirm is if the money has gotten to the hands of those affected. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 8:57am On Aug 02, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: If someone says "Imo state govt destroyed settlement of Hausas" and u have a credible information that suggests the demolished settlements which the state govt even paid them to vacate; u have a duty to educate such person on the details of the demolition.
Instead u turned it to politics and gave it a sprinkle of tribalism by claiming " Lagos demolished shops owned by easterners in Alaba" as well. There's no need bringing Lagos into the matter when the genuine reason for the demolition in Alaba is out there in the open.
Haba! Here is the post I responded to... he said 'attack on northerners' showing clearly that he had details of what happened and was criticising it. I have no problem with that by the way. monerozi5590: Why the attack again on Northerners in Imo State! Peaceful coexistence is all what we pray for. Here is my response. Take note of the bolded. An attempt to explain what happened. It's not a mob destroying houses, it's the government and it's not just northerners. You didn't complain when Lagos destroyed shops of Easterners at Alaba.
Anyway, it is the state government that is destroying shanties occupied by mostly northerners. Those people don't build real houses. Why? We all know that most northerners don't build real houses outside their area of origin. I don't know why and wished to know. So if you suspect that my harmless interaction is about tribalism, Know that it is not. I know the poster, and have interacted with him and know that as a typical Nigerian he will have sympathy for his people which is completely OK by me. But we must also put things in perspective. If indeed what he wants or prays for is peaceful coexistence then we should all criticise/support it irrespective of where or who is affected not just our own people. |

BlueRayDick: The bold part of ur statement is deliberate misinformation or propaganda at best(half-truth). The Lagos state government marked 17 buildings which were clearly defective and did not pass building integrity tests. It is immaterial whether the shops are owned by Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas,Efiks, Idomas, etc.
The sole aim of the demolition is to avert future collapse of such structures. No be everything be politics. What did you read in your bolded? The same reason Imo destroyed shanties is the same reason Lagos destroyed dilapidated buildings, but the difference in the approach is that Imo paid compensation to the hausa community while Lagos didn't. Like I asked, I don't know what you read in the bolded as I neither criticised nor supported both actions, and also because I didn't see where Mone criticised the demolition of buildings in Lagos too. If you justified the case of Lagos, are you against the case of Imo?
