ObaIgwe1: Honestly I don't know why Arsenal would need Havertz in any position...
But I just want to assume there is something Arteta and Ancelotti are seeing in him that we don't see that makes them think he worth any investment... Left to me even if he is walking free into Arsenal, I would have said we don't need him... But the coach should know better till he fails...Like with Jorginho, he proved many wrong, maybe he would prove us wrong with Harvertz also... Else Exactly. Personally I am sure if I was Arsenal manager, I won't go near Havertz. I have tried to find out his reasons and the best one I can come up with is his quality before he joined Chelsea. Because after that I can't find a reason. |

iamoyindamola: I like this guy Even if arteta want shiit you are all in for him That's the spirit I am always on the opinion that Arteta and all those managers are better informed than any of us. They all go through more and better data analysis before they come to their conclusions. So I don't argue with their decisions, I only try to see the reasons why they follow such paths. It is when they fail that I criticise them. I cannot criticise the decision to buy Havertz until it fails. |

Remember the first few months of buhari, from body language to multiple announcements.
Lmaoooooo
Dey sign bills upandan but not setting up the foundation and structure in place for those things to properly be implemented.
Now for this fx issue we have to be praying to God that regulators actually do a monumental task that hasn't been asked from them before because right now let nobody deceive themselves. We don't have the FX to meet demand. E nor dey at all. Even Dangote that sapped alot of our FX wasn't said to repay in dollar.
So as usual we are about to see small shege here and there. The tough times talk that apc people want to use to bobo people is so they have an escape route when people complain. If this isn't tough times already then I dunno what it.
When people are told to go out and touch grass. It's because of certain naive talks like this.
Once again in 2015 we saw these reactions and bragging from APC guys😂. The current poster of all news tinubu is just the new crop of apc graduates to continue. Let us not worry about him and his delusional excitement.
Even larride is smart enough to say "let's see how it goes" 😁 They live abroad. Naira devaluation is good news to them. |

BlueRayDick: If Havertz replaces Xhaka, then who will 100m Rice be replacing ? First of all, remember we have CL next season and so having several first team quality even on the bench is not a bad idea and besides that's what we have been crying for years. However, I do not consider him a priority signing |

Jodera: He was an overhype. Nothing special about his Leverkusen days and nothing special in his Chelsea days.
I just hope the deal doesn't pull through sha A full German international cannot be considered as overhyped sir. Especially as he is coming for less than 70m at 24years with PL experience. The only thing you guys should be against is if he is used as a striker. That's where I have problem. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 9:13am On Jun 15, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: You are missing the point. I'm not judging Havertz based on his performance at Chelsea or at Bayer, all I'm saying is paying within the region of 70m for a player that will not be walking straight into ur starting line-up is not really a good decision for a club like arsenal.
Havetz is not coming in to bench any of our midfielders/attackers. We no get money reach make we buy 70m player wey go dey sit for bench o If Havertz replaces Xhaka as an 8 then he is in the first team. The only point you will make is that he is not a priority as we have ESR too, but then e is still an upgrade to ESR. The only arrangement that won't make sense to me is if he is used as a striker. |

BlueRayDick: Yesterday I heard a senior civil servant complaining bitterly how he has bought fuel worth 35k within 8 days for commuting from his house on the mainland to his office on the island . He was saying “Lori salary elo ?” ( On top how much salary ?)
That is just one of the realities that has manifested . Many more will come; as things will be expensive going forward .
When people say stuff like “ Things will get tough first but it will get better in the long run “, I really think people don’t know how long “the long run” will be before it comes (That is if it ever comes ). I hope people know malaria that private hospital will treat u for say 10k-15k May go as high as 50k-60k because even their own cost of operations will increase. It is easy for people we see on TV (who belong to the upper class ) talking about how we all need to endure and weather the storm , but it’s something else seeing people in the middle class and lower struggle to cope with the new economic realities .
It’s not just about food or fuel, it’s about almost everything . The bolded is a common tool used by clueless politicians to receive the masses by creating a caveat just in case their policies don't work. Such language should be resisted by Nigerians by every means possible. |

Jodera: There was a reason he was played as a striker In the first place. Omorr, that boy no shine for any other place aside striking, so I no know how he wan take shine for Xhaka role(or the LCM role).
Have you seen how our double 8 plays and have you seen Havertz attribute to think he'll thrive? Where was he playing at Bayer Leverkusen? He was a ten and an anointed replacement for Ozil that year for Germany. Leave the rest for Arteta. |

BlueRayDick: If the intention is to use him as backup 8 or 10, then I think paying anything above 40m for him makes no sense .
He will be a luxury purchase if u ask me I am not going to rate him based on his Chelsea experience. Like Odegaard he was the next best thing when he left Bayer Leverkusen. But poor management must have hampered his development. Under Arteta I see him recovering and reaching good potential having experienced PL. I will only criticise if the arrangement fails. I don't see Arteta using him as a striker. God forbid. |

BlueRayDick: I don’t like nor hate him. I just feel we already have an attacker who can dribble his way out of any defense in Gabriel Jesus . We have a striker who has good positioning in Nketiah .
What we need is a striker who can tire out any CB, a striker who can shoot very well, is strong both on ground and in the air ; and finally a striker who can run with the ball leading to goal . I don’t think Havertz is that guy.
I may be wrong tho Havertz is not a striker. He was played out of position at Chelsea which affected his performance. I believe Arteta will use him as an 8 or 10, either to play alongside Odegaard or as a backup for him. And off course he can be used as a false 9 if need be. Good deal for me if he can come at less than the 70m Chelsea wants. |

It is one of Nigeria biggest oil pipeline, 400 illegal connections were detected and removed last month of April, and there was a 24 percent surge in the corresponding month of may. That's progress. I hope the illegal bunkering would be prevented and it actually adds to the fortunes of the nation. Things like this should not be celebrated. It's like celebrating an apology after a slap. We need to begin to hold our leaders responsible for the nonsense that happen within their watch and not celebrate correction of failures. For example, arresting a thief may be a sign of progress but preventing the theft is the real growth. |

I read last week that Cancelo says he doesn't want to play in England for now, but I don't know how true the news report is. If we won't be getting him, I hope we are working on a Plan B in case the deal falls through.
We need to also work on bringing a natural goal scorer to join our attack team. I think he is being emotional about playing for any PL team that is not Man City (who just won the treble without him). |

Donjazet2: There has been successful people-led revolutions right from time. And yes, I mean violence-filled revolutions.
Russians, after years of terrible monarchial rule revolted against their king and murdered their entire royal family. Setting up a government of the people, a revolution that eventually led to their country becoming the second most powerful country on earth for decades.
Italians after deciding they had had enough of the dictatorial Mussolini killed and hung him and his wife in the public square.
The youths of this country are suffocating under the terrible burden of bad governance, maladministration and corruption by the APC. They decided to revolt peacefully via the ballot, you conspired against them and denied them their voices, you are corrupting all institutions of governance, what choices do you leave them? If to say na swords the people protecting government officials dey use, may be we can try. But one armed DSS guy can quench 1000 protesters with a simple one syllabic order 'shoot' by his oga. Now the case is in court and people are saying obidients should just give up! They should "accept reality". That's the reality that a thief stole something dear to you and you should just accept that the thief has gotten away with it.. well, kpele oo, we are waiting on the justice system, our judiciary, to see if they would rectify the wrongs of the election. Having faith in the ideal should never be looked upon as wrong. If he leads a protest and gets arrested, that ends the hope. The worst that can happen in the country under such a situation we be 'we warned him not to' remarks. Let it be that after the judicial process especially the tribunal (before it gets to Supreme Court) if justice is not given despite the overwhelming amount of evidence, then protest can be the next sensible option. |

Our silence suddenly means we "accept" the evil that took place on election. I think peace is better than violence. Let the aggression be in the courts as we have seen. Assuming the tribunal was being televised, probably people will see the actual situation of things. However, I think his sue for peace is better than protests. |
