Jodera: Balogun is 19yrs. I don't see how he can't vie for 2nd choice striker in view of becoming a first team striker the following season
At least, let's know our stand on him and make him ready. It's not as if he's a 16 or 17yr old guy oo. By next season(after this coming season) he'll be 20yrs. I don't think that will be too young to become a first team player if he's ready That's what I am saying. He should be a second striker. I don't want the situation that happened with Saka when we had to depend solely on him for chance creation. |

Jodera: Well, I admit I didn't factor in afcon but I'm not sure most of our important players(youngsters) will go for Olympics.
Keeping fingers crossed sha on balogun. Just wanna see what he got in store next season for us. I don't want to put much burden on Balogun. We must allow him to develop slowly. |

Jodera: Whether white is better than what we got or not is irrelevant. Even if balon dor van dijk or Ramos is available for 50m, it'll be foolishness to buy any now. For crying out loud, our defence isn't doing so badly and we still have saliba to add to that list(who himself isn't bad on his loan). What we need is creativity and goal scorers and even fullbacks. Adding another Cb is foolishness and misplaced priority of the highest order.
And this isn't kroenke loss but arsenal as a club loss... It just shows if the reports are genuine that Edu and Arteta and Scams It's a senseless deal offcourse but it's not my money that's my point. Even if it's Arsenal's loss, it's still Kroenke that owns it. Nor be so? |

Jodera: Let's look it this way. Auba can't go to the bench(cos he has signed contract and a huge pay, plus he's the captain). Meaning he'll play most matches, especially as we don't have any Europe distraction. Buying another striker will surely surely take away balogun growth time, cos I don't expect Auba to sit out for that striker. So the best is to use that to grow balogun, and in most cases blend balogun and auba up top together. (Just the way Wenger blended henry and Rvp and prepared Rvp for the striker role) Everyone knows Auba isn't auba of before, but one thing I'm certain is that arsenal as a club won't bench auba esp when he's still a core member of the team. Let that money be better served for winger. Well, the only reason I might consider we buy a striker is if auba will agree to become 2nd choice striker. Finish! Else, if we buy another striker, we might as well loan out balogun than killing his career on the bench. Cos definitely balogun won't see game time at all You have not taken the possibility of injuries into consideration and the fact that the AFCON and Olympics will draw away many youngsters. That aside, with Auba aging, Balogun may become our ESR next season if we fail to get a decent support for him. Besides Auba will leave after next season, so it will also be a safe period to try out his replacement. |

Jodera: Ben arfa which consistent? He's one of the most inconsistent player with such great talent same as Martial. If you look at Martial on his good day and claim he's not a talent, then "hmmm", I dunno what to say... This case is dead on arrival. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 2:09pm On Jun 19, 2021 |
Jodera: If this club renew Laca contract, then I'll know they're dumb. Also, the person deceiving Amn that he should stick to Midfield when he can actually play Rb no try for him career at all. Since he's so adamant on playing Midfield, the club should sell... Amn, lacazette, willock, bellerin, xhaka, nketiah.
Buy all the positions you talked about except Cf. Instead we should buy a winger.
And here's my reason. We have balogun. Why I wouldn't want us to throw him in next season, but then, next season ought to be a big season for him. We have Auba to Mann that position and balogun to transition in as 2nd striker in view of displacing him. Also, martinelli should be played on both the wings and cf so that if anything happens to Auba, we know we have to able strikers to fill in the void. Buying a young striker like isak is potentially killing balogun slot and Martinelli hope of playing as 9 for us.
Also, I've been taking note of isak in Spain. While his first season wasn't so good, last season was good and he improved considerably. I wanted to watch him this coming season to make up my mind, but this euros I feel have opened up people's eyes to him. Anyways, I feel we should just be shrewd in that our striking department and buy a very good goal scoring winger and creator. Auba can still give us 1 more season, then from next season, Balo and Marti will think of taking over. We just have 2 wingers in saka and Pepe. Marti can play wing too but we need another right footed winger. Willian can be coming 85min to close out game or he can just be eternally glued to bench and/or playing carabao cup You are assuming Auba will be Auba. But I am doubting that seriously. If not that he has extended already, I would have said release him. Even if we put him up for sale tomorrow, no one will ask of him without cutting our throats. We need another striker. He does not have to be Isak, but someone that is decent enough. There are some decent strikers in leagues eastern Europe that can serve us as both a backup for Auba and support for Balogun. Martinelli for me isnt cut out for CF. |

Jodera: haven't holding signed a new contract this just concluded season? Anyways, this club is a joke and there's no rationale or justifiable reason why they should buy another defender. Wen we should be thinking of how to incorporate saliba and he's placing 50m for white. Are we planning on playing 5 at the back next season?
Well, I no put my mind for arsenal transfer window this season, lemme just see which player(s) we'll field by end of Aug/Sept.
That Edu and Arteta just no wan get sense Let Kroenke suffer loss. If White is better than what we've got, no qualms. I doubt it though. |

Arsenal usually report a squad depth of 25players per season. 5 of those must be given to academy players this season. The likes of Balogun, Azeez, Okonkwo etc must have a place in the squad. The development of Saka and ESR have shown that a lot can come from there. |

1. Onana can come for as low as 7m.
2. Sell AMN, buy a RB. Sell Belerin buy a LB.
3. Sell Xhaka, add money buy Locatelli; buy Sander Berge or any decent DM; buy Madison or any decent AM.
4. Sell Lacazette, add money buy Isak or any decent striker.
We won't spend more than 150m net. |

What do we really need?
Arsenal chasing Ben White with 50m can do better.
We need... 1. A back up keeper or outright replacement for Leno.
2. Two fullbacks, Left and Right
3. Three midfielders, a CM (if Xhaka leaves), a DM and an AM.
4. A replacement for Lacazette. I don't want him to extend. |

Jodera: .....Reason why I don't normally look at cup tournaments when assessing player for a club to buy. I mostly just use cup tournament to confirm my basis of the player(s) instead of purely rating the players on cup basis. Look at Kane for example, if most of us don't know who Kane is, we might be skeptical of his true talents not knowing he is just off-sync with this present England squad so far. How I judge players during cup competition is their movements and ball control. Passion will deceive any scout |

BlueRayDick: I will comment on my expectations about the new season when I see how we fared in the transfer window when it officially closes.
Abusing the coach, cursing the club management etc won't change anything There is no focus on the type of deal the club wants to do. They are just jumping from one failed option to another. At the end they will settle for nothing. Madison is a good player, but that deal will not go through unless mad money both in fees and salary are involved. This is not what we want. |
