Jodera: While it's true but at a point, that defending and tracking back will no longer be enough to see him start. The way he combines losing the ball, poor decision making and overall poor display is shocking.
That his defending and tracking back immunity go soon wear off If you know who Arteta be in terms of attention to defensive play, you will change your comment. Lol |

Jodera: The way he's falling off is just alarming. Me that's one of his biggest fan here and was really looking forward to his peak.
It'll be a shame if we don't enjoy him cos I know millions of arsenal fan have really been dreaming of 23/24 yr old Martinelli and how he'll tear epl defences to shreds. Now man can't even beat one man
See the way our Lw was lively and productive immediately Trossard entered, and that's even if you neglect his goal scored Martinelli and Trossard have their similarities but they are different types of wingers. Martinelli is better with transition. Ball to feet, take a man 1v1, create chances etc, run down the flanks- typical winger. Trossard on the other hand is more of a space merchant, ball to space, positioning, goal target. When Arteta starts Trossard he starts him as a CF/ false 9. Or where the team gets to dominate a box. That's because Trossard is good at positioning but not as good as Martinelli for transitions. However, if you want a late surge or a tactical attacking manuveur, he is your best bet. That said, if we should swap their roles and Martinelli begins to play from bench, you will realise that he is as good as Trossard in finishing off games. What Arteta does between Martinelli and Trossard is purely tactical and has nothing to do with who is better. Same as between Raya and Ramsdale. |

liveLongNprospa: This man. Dangote is saying they should sell him crude oil at the market price of crude. If 1 barrel is $80, that is what he wants to buy. He's asking them to stop selling through their subsidiaries after they have carried oil outside naija. Unless you have new information I'm not aware of. Dangote is notorious for being harsh to Nigeirans himself. I believe that's where he is having issues with policy makers and public analysts. He sells cement higher than international market, etc . He cannot be trusted as a business always wants to be spoon-fed. |

Ibime: Stated by law, and he no go court? Leave story. All relevant information is contained in the price of a good. He is not seeking market price but Dangote price. Market price is the price you receive from selling abroad less the difference between shipping abroad and shipping to Dangote. If Dangote can meet whatever that price is, he will have no problem. The issue is not really price but cost based on what you have stated earlier. Cost of shipping, cost of Forex etc. But then I interest is not Dangote but Nigeria. If helping Dangote will ease life for Nigerians (something that Dangote is notorious to not do) then the FG and NNPC should do what's needful. Why pay billions on subsidy for imported fuel when you can help a local supplier? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 8:17am On Aug 14, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: U need to watch the video and understand some things first . If u watch the video , it will disabuse ur mind and purge it of some preconceived misinformation that probably formed the basis upon which u are asking this question.
There’s a price for failure to plan and it’s usually costly . It is costlier for a multi-billion dollar business .
What u call simple document can make or mar ur business and all investments.
For ur information , all over the world there’s no refinery that rely solely on crude from local sources as feedstock . Refineries all over the world source their crude from different sources . two of the largest refineries in the world are sighted in Singapore and South Korea yet, none of the two countries has proven oil reserves. It simply means they buy crude , refine and export fuel & its byproducts .
The government owned Kaduna refinery , before it commenced operations back then Nigeria entered into supply contract with Venezuela and Saudi Arabia to be supplying us crude for the refinery . That’s the standard practice , a refinery enters into contract if supply with suppliers years ahead so u don’t have a fully functional refinery with no feedstock to refine .
Permit me to ask ; which problem is the Dangote refinery (a private business ) supposed to alleviate ? First, please I am not doubting you as I do not have adequate information about the issue. I am simply asking questions using my common sense. The Dangote refinery as reported should supply our local market with refined PMS and diesel without the burden of foreign exchange. My concern is that none of our refineries are working after billions of dollars have been spent. Now that we have one even though it is private why can't we just simply ordinarily assist it to work as long as it will be for the benefit of the common man. Why would government be comfortable to subsidise imported fuel but cannot support a local supplier even if it will mean personal gain. If your child is dying of hunger you don't have to ask the child why he hasn't done his chores before you give him food. With none of our refineries working, we can bring up several reasons or excuses why Dangote should have done this or that, but it's the common man that is paying the price. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 4:36am On Aug 14, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: God bless Dumebi Kachikwu; finally someone has to call it what it is. Most of the fault is on Dangote for failing to have relevant contracts signed for feedstock supply and a part of the blame is on NNPC/FG under Buhari that was busy selling hope that The Dangote Refinery NNPC/Dangote joint venture that is the solution to our oil problems.
I mentioned it the last time I was discussing with Monerozi and prospa that Dangote needs to provide an agreement/contract signed with NNPC pledging feedstock to him. In the oil and gas space nobody relies on gentleman agreements that are not enforceable either at arbitration or in law courts . Like Kachikwu rightly stated , players in the Oil and Gas space sign agreements years ahead before even commissioning the plant ( I know these things, in fact I’ve been privileged to sight one of such documents between one of the players in the industry and its suppliers)
You didn’t build a 650,000bpd refinery designed to serve the west African market only to be relying on crude from NNPC that keeps entering into forward sales of untapped crude every eke market day. All those letter headed press release Dangote group keeps churning are just emotions, emotions and emotions .
NNPC/FG under Buhari had used so much propaganda to pollute people’s minds to the extent that they genuinely believe Dangote refinery (a private company that has its shareholders and management team who take business decisions with profit motive) will takeover the responsibility of subsidy (a socialist initiative ) which FG was running away from.
I can see Rufai has already conditioned his mind to believe “cabals are after Dangote “ 😂. No matter how Kachikwu tries to disabuse his mind to focus on real issues; he’s bent on believing “the Malta connection” being responsible for why Dangote doesn’t have crude .
NNPC too have their fault for not being transparent with details of the forward loans they took , how much they pledged, how much crude we have after deducting the crude repayment and the duration of the loans Without arguing the accuracy of what you have stated here. My question is should Nigerians and the economy suffer because of a simple document Dangote is unable to provide? If this were to be Saudi Arabia or Britain for example, would they use such bureaucracy to hamper their economic well being? If Dangote refinery can help alleviate the problems Nigerians are facing then all the blame goes to the government. |

I am with you about playing him in his natural DM position but yesterday, I think he was inverting from the LB into the middle. I hope we can see him in cup games. Nwaneri and Skelly are ready for some first team integration, it is sad we lost Duberry because he is right there with both. This is quite reassuring. I don't know much about Skelly but I was really impressed with him playing LB. Knowing that he is even a DM already is giving me goose bumps 😆 - perfect backup for Zinchenko and whatever tinkering Arteta will want to do. |

toluxe0075: He is the only player I’ve seen new words being generated to mask his poor performances. If he is not interpreting spaces today, he is controlling it. If he is not shadow attacking, he is sucking defenders in (like I’m supposed to do that). And when he misses chances upon chances (like his partner in crime G.Jesus) he gets excused for not being a striker and that he covers up for that by interpreting space. 😂
He will turn up in one or two matches or maybe score a goal when we are already two goals up, then his people won’t let us rest. He is one lucky player because many players don’t get that kind of luxury.
Arteta is doing this and that only to plays Havertz in all matches when he has no business playing, especially in that midfield. What’s the point.
Anyways, I just hope our wingers will keep turning up to cover up for him or perhaps, he turns up for at least 60% of the season. Not just Arteta but Nagelsmann too. Havertz was the main attacker in Germany Euros squad. Can you explain why he is so revered? |

If Nketiah stays however , Arteta should prioritize getting Saka deputy before any other thing. I agree 💯 |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 6:38pm On Aug 08, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: [b]Well, for starters we didn’t lose the league last season because because of non-availability of strikers . In fact, we scored our most leagues in the EPL history 2023/2024 (the same season we didn’t have a traditional CF).
Now talking about wasting of fund on Saka’s deputy, I don’t agree it is a waste of funds in any way. In fact, I believe if Saka had a quality deputy we wouldn’t have ended the season without at least FA cup or the other cup ( whatever name they call it now cos it’s like almost every season they change the name ).
A deputy for Saka will greatly help us in cup matches like last group games in UCL when Saka is supposed to be resting , FA cup matches till maybe semi final and final.
Every EPL team knew our tactics last season yet, that was the same season we won our most league games(28) in the EPL era.
Arteta’s tactics does not really require a traditional CF to bang in goals . The tactics require the front 3 to be at their best playing fluid football and That can only be improved on if we have a worthy deputy for Saka who can stand in for him like Trossard/Martinelli on the left wing.
If we are to draw up a scale of preference , I would say we need Saka’s deputy more than a traditional CF since as of today Nketiah is still an Arsenal player The bolded is what you have used to win this argument. But once that clause dies, the pendulum shifts |
