FiftyFifty: That war known as "The War in October", was lost by Egypt not because of the IDF firepower but because of the US direct involvement. That's a known fact in the military circle. This isn't denying the fact that IDF is strong especially in recent times.
My brother, go and read how the IDF obliterated the entire Egyptian Airforce and groudn troops on the Sinai peninsula in a space of less than 8 hours during the 6-day war.
RealityShot: Where is the N40 billion allocated for their feeding in 2018 budget
Nigeria should stop feeding these lazy people!
they should go back to their farms jaare!
who displaced them? who supported those people initially? are the bandits not thier family members?
mtcheww Buhari just wasting our money on all these invaluable & unproductive citizens.
Saraki, remove BOKO HARAM & IDP from our national budget jaare..
let the state govt that started the war deall with them from their state budget!
Less than 0.001% of those funds will ever get to the final destination. Is Babachir Lawal not still walking around as a free man? Someone who was indicted a year ago...still walking around and bragging.
After paying a visit to some of these camps, I cannot share in some of the highly insensitive comments that border on sheer wickedness.
If we should call a spade a spade, was it not under PDP that the genesis of this problem was formulated? It is a pity that Alex Badeh is not here to answer for his sins. People like him mismanaged funds meant to fight Boko Haram. If these funds were used properly, BH would have been defeated since and these people will not be here. This is why I have no pity whatsoever for Dasuki, Dokpesi, Olisa Metuh, Bafarawa and all others who partook of the arms funds.
I personally went to the IDP camp in Kuchingoro. These people are not lazy. They do not want food handouts. They simply want to go back home and continue farming. I am very sure that no voting whatsoever took place in these IDP Camps, so the notion of voing for Buhari does not hold water.
stevebless: Our childhood hero's. Frank Olise has been late for many years. Abike Dabiri has started eating government money and forgotten how she came to be popular.
Frank Olize is very much alive. Stop spreading fake news.
Why must we always think that the EPLis the best league? The EPL is just the best league in terms of coverage and marketing. it is not e best in terms of quality. How many members of our USA 94 team, which was at one time ranked the 5th best in the world, were playing in the EPL?
The take away isn't about the rules per se but the obsession in 21st century.
What's even bad in alcohol? Is it a sin? If the answer is in the affirmative, then by what standards?
Why did the police dismiss that sergeant (abi na inspector sef) who was caught drinking and fooling around in a joint in uniform and with his loaded rifle?
It is because there are rules in place in every organization. If you cannot follow certain rules, then you should not be in the places where those rules are enforced.
For instance, you can decide to smoke weed or use coke in your house. However, the traces will remain in your urine. If you work in a place where periodic drug tests are done (e.g. if you are an athlete), would you want to be the scapegoat for traces of illicit substances found in your urine during random drug tests?
Ejimagifty: I do not agree with Gani Adams on this. Even America, UK and other developed countries has homeless and hungry people let alone a Nigeria that was battered by 16 years misrule of PDP chop i chop politics. No wonder a shameless actress was tweeting about the lack of free money in circulation as against the status quo they're used to under the thieving PDP regime. When dasuki was disbursing money like ATM machine, when dieziani the frog eyed thief was embezzling billions Nigerians were not hungry. Now that we have a sane and prudent government whose single treasury account remittance has blocked majority of loopholes for yafun yafun money, Nigerians are suddenly hungry. The several rail projects scattered across the country is a testament to the fact that funds are been expended on infrastructure but under PDP regime a certain corrupt presidential spokesman Okupe was seen in a viral video deceiving Nigerians that the country cannot afford to build rails because we are not rich like America. Nigerians indeed dodged a bullet by voting against the PDP whose presidential manifesto was about enriching their friends and selling national assets to their cronies. How long will we continue playing belly politics? How does stomach infrastructure politics bring development? Is a serious nation built on eating food all day? Even the Bible says Man shall not live by bread alone ( Matthew 4:4).
Only a blind and ungrateful person will not commend this hard working president Buhari. May God keep him beyond 2023. Amen
Many Nigerians do not ask questions before they make a move. My dad underwent a surgery here some years back. Three other families had fathers who needed same.
We collectively paid a hospital to have a specialist cone in from South Africa to do the procedures here.
All were successful and the specialist used the cases to teach the Naija doctors. Now I hear one of the docs is doing the same procedure here now.
Sweetcollins: Hunger and unemployment in the land Too bad
Out of paltry 3200, 91,000 have already applied My friend sent me the advert yesterday if I would like to apply, as soon as we finished talking on d phone, I saw custom officers on duty at oluku, Edo state. For the first time in my life, and for the 4th car am driving since 2010, yesterday was the first day ever custom stopped me and asked of custom duty paper and collected a whooping sum of #2,000 from me. Hear one insisting, that whether correct or not, I must pay the 2000 as a levy for officers on duty. I was not in DAT mood for arguments and delay. I paid and immediately called my girl to share this strange symbolic happenstance. She too was bewildered as I was. My advice to all: Apply but it takes the grace of God or strongest connection to get such jobs in Nigeria. My brother even paid 250k for FRSC job to a reliable uncle with an agreement to balance up once d list is out since 2017, no show. Thank God he got a repping job. Good luck to all applicants
Customs stopped me the last time I cleared a vehicle from Lagos. Everything was correct. They merely asked for "appreciation". It was not coerced. So why did you pay N2000?
Xisnin: If this man was stealing as you claimed, he won't have the need to borrow $3 million dollars, let alone go broke due to his company's failure.
Wealth can never be created by saving small change. It requires taking a big risk like this man has done.
And some people will remain in poverty forever because they don't understand this. They think any non-poor is a thief.
Of course, this man lost, but he still took the risk and he will still take more in the future.
Then let him replicate the methods he used in making the money some of you claim he made legitimately. A loan is what proves the businessman who knows his onions, and those who were gaming the system with help from corrupt politicians.
Xisnin: That is why they are poor. Big men take big risks.
By stealing from the national cake, abi? That's your idea of taking risks? Stealing from a country's communal purse? That's why God Himself brought down GEJ. The man was just sitting there and superintending over a den of thieves who were just looting brazenly.
The only problem I have with PMB is his ethno-religious bigotry and lack of direction in turning around our economy. Looting is not his thing.
Na wa o. Guys are not smiling. The other day it was Nnamdi Kanu showing us his homemade porn flick. Now Rivers governor just dey chop im wife mouth everywhere.
Guv, nothing do you. Chop the mouth dey go. Na u get am!
