Asquare84:Yep. I concur. Animals can just do the job without complaining. In Michigan which is an agrarian state in the US, bulls are still used to plow the land. |
Once in my compound, they came to disconnect on 24th Dec when we were up to date in our payments. By the time our gateman stood at the pole with a cutlass and dared the phcn man to disconnect and end up like suya, they abandoned the effort and left. Robbers everywhere. |
Jaqenhghar:Please indicate where I stated this. You must be a junkie! Better get yourself a rehab centre before we hear you have plunged into the Thames! |
Jaqenhghar:Stupidity is your first name. I said 10k a month. Where u got 10k a year baffles me: are u on Jamaican skunk? |
HBB1:When they meet superior argument, that is what they do. They look for ways to shift the goalposts. |
Jaqenhghar:If the state of health in Nigeria was as bad as everyone is painting it, why are people not dying in their millions? Let doctors here go on strike and you will know their importance. As for the bolded, you need to hear it. The points are mentioned are firsts by Nigerians in healthcare and no amount of time can erase that history. Afterall, was Buhari's son not saved by the intervention of Nigerian doctors after his life-threatening accident? Abeg spare me the bullcrap. Naija doctors deserve accolades for still keeping things together in spite of the numerous challenges. |
HBB1:My brother, I don't even want to argue with them again. The guy in question is known to me and his parents are here with us in Nigeria. I no wan talk again. |
Jaqenhghar:You are too dumb to even read. I clearly stated 10k pounds A MONTH in my original post. You keep saying 10k pounds a year. Do a month and a year look alike to you? This is what happens when you read and misquote people. Once you do that, everything else you utter based on your misquote is garbage. Also, you clearly have no understanding as to what the Cuban government did to ensure that its medical system is one of the best in the world. The Dubai royal family used to come to UCH for medicals in the 60s. The first open heart surgery in black Africa was conducted in Nigeria in 1974. Nigeria boasts of the first female Professor of Surgery in Africa. Nigeria has a lot of firsts in Medicine. Your likes who see nothing good about Nigeria should ask yourself where things went wrong. Many of you do not know the damage that the likes of Buhari as a military president, IBB, Abacha and the ex-military heads of state caused to Nigeria. |
Jaqenhghar:The reason I hate discussing such stuff online is because there are too many fools who are very ignorant about a lot of things. I stand by what I said: a doctor in the UK can make 10K pounds a month from locum. I have 2 uncles who have lived and worked as doctors in the UK since the 1960s, and a lot of friends who are there too. Even a neighbour of mine just made the move last year to the UK. So I am talking from a backdrop of information available to me and not via hearsay. |
Jaqenhghar:As in bought the houses in the UK not in Nigeria. His parents are here. I and my family have never visited any foreign hospital for treatment. All treatments have been done in Nigeria by Nigerian doctors and we are all around. You sef that are yaking your mouth all over the place: are foreign doctors any better than Nigerian doctors? Read this story here about how US doctors transplanted organs from an HIV positive donor and infected several people https://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/13/health/13cnd-organ.html If it was here in Nigeria that this happened, everyone will be crying blue murder. But this happened in the US. Is anyone making noise about it? |
Wait until the Chinese develop their own OS for Huawei phones. Google will beg for mercy. |
Jaqenhghar:You are a liar. A doctor in UK can make up to 10,000GBP a month on locum. I know one who even owns 2 houses, all on locum pay. He is not even a resident yet. How many doctors in Nigeria can afford to even pay rent in a place like Asokoro in Abuja? |
Jaqenhghar:Are they not the same doctors doing wonders in the NHS and other places? So what factor has changed? The doctor or the environment? Was there not a FP thread today where LUTH doctors were protesting non-payment of 5 months pay? |
I will prefer to buy a car and import it myself. All the cars on the site are scrap. The good ones have probably been sold privately. Bunch of thieves. |
So this 44 year old LovePeddler is still doing her whoring business. |
All these bribe taking atura... |
This dude looks like he was murdered and the car set ablaze. The way the entire carcass of the car was burnt suggests some incendiary material was poured all over. That spot should be treated like a crime scene. It should be sealed off with tape. Residue samples need to be collected from the car, the ground, the surrounding areas...even trees all around. That should give a clue as to whether this was an accidental fire or whether an incendiary mix was used. The carcass of the vehicle should also be scanned for prints. Surroundings need to be checked for tire markings and footprints as well (difficult since the scene was left unguarded and hundreds of people must have been around there). My take is that this is a possible homicide until proven otherwise. The man could not have set the car ablaze in that position. He would have had to douse the entire car with an incendiary, then taken a seat inside and lit a matchstick or lighter. There are easier ways to commit suicide and being burnt to death is not one of them. |
Sensationalist story. Abuja is the safest place in Nigeria. The only issue is the "one-chance" robbers in the FCT, and here we must place the blame where it squarely lies: the populace. For years, the FCT administration and the DRTS (VIO office) has cracked down on unlicensed and unpainted vehicles known as "kabu kabu". But yet, people love to patronize them. On any typical day, you will see people just flagging down vehicles...any vehicle, even at night. It is like the culture here. Growing up in parts of Nigeria where such practice is frowned on because of safety concerns, this for me was one of the huge culture shocks I witnessed coming to the FCT. Why would a sane person in today's Nigeria be flagging down a vehicle that is not a painted cab, with unknown occupants, just to be carried and dropped at a location in the name of saving money or for convenience? A woman had once walked to my car with her child and was asking if I was going in a particular direction early on a Saturday morning as I was heading to the mechanic. I asked her plainly whether she knew me before and I was like: what if I am a kidnapper? She just looked at me like a statue as I drove off. So clearly, the govt here is doing its part by trying to sanitize the transport system. But the attitude of the people is clearly a problem. Use only painted cabs please. |
Find out well: lots of lobbying has gone into this. |
Even police in US take lots of bribes. The only difference is that once caught, they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and not shielded like it happens here in Naija. |
DerideGull:The only moronic slowpoke I see here is the idiotic passenger. Which tribe in Nigeria answers Christopher, which is the language of the slave masters and colonialists? I do not bear an English name, my wife does not and my kids do not. Many Nigerians have dropped their English names (including Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe who got rid of the name "Benjamin) after they discovered the hypocrisy of the white man who brought religion to Africa but have hearts that are very dark. Why should a man hold other passengers to ransom by insisting on a local language translation, and yet he is answering the name of the slave masters? |
As if he is flying his private aircraft. Nonsense! |
Lagos....glorified shithole! |
xyz123456:As long as there are fundamentalists killing in the name of a religion, drastic action even beyond condemnation must be taken as often as needed. |
No more hard man mug shot posing. |
Then use your music to condemn it outright. This is the issue I have with muslim leaders. They see fundamentalists and extremists causing havoc in the name of their religion, but their leaders never come out openly to outrightly condemn fundamentalist Islam as evil. None of them has condemned in the strongest terms, what happened in Sri Lanka. Same thing with this yahoo plus thing. It should be condemned very strongly in no uncertain terms. There should be no ambiguity in the messages and lyrics. |
Apostle Suleiman had once said that this particular friend used to give him money for feeding and transport more than 24 years ago. It pays to be good...no one knows tomorrow. |
Paulpeterparker:Because when you get shot in battle and you are bleeding, you constitute a major risk to your unit's first responders and fellow soldiers who will attend to your injuries. |
Pusyiter:The same ENRON where Robert Skilling and Kenneth Lay stole the life savings of their employees and ran the company into the ground. Na wa for you. |
