Politics › Re: 35 New Firms Open For Business In Ogun State In Two Years by Standing5(m): 8:32pm On Aug 05, 2013
I wonder what will make a sane person think FG is the reason industries are pouring to Ogun state when in fact the the FG and its centralized top-down corruption model is the reason Ogun isnt getting enough industries. Take for example the law that allows cornering of any large volume of Power generation by states into our ever decreasing national grid when the FG knows fully well the importance of power in industrialization. Infact the FG is the Number 1 force impeding the growth of state like Ogun state industrially. They are doing this by Forcing more progress minded states to share critical resources with the backward thinking ones.

solomon111: I am half-deltan,you bumkum.
And i will never allow the huge resources of my state to go into Tinubu's control.
Whether you are twice a deltan i don't care. What i know is majority of Deltans will always want a good bargain and not Gnvernors who start projects halfheartedly towards the end of their tenure.

If you want adopt IBB and Tukur as your 'Jesus on earth'. That's your choice. Lets see if deltans will condone the steal-first-and-attempt-perform\impress-later folks or the progressive performers you tag 'Tinubu'.
Politics › Re: APC Accuses Gov. Peter Obi Of Playing Politics With Nigeria’s Unity by Standing5(m): 5:46pm On Aug 04, 2013
Yes they were accomodated for several months by LASG. Whats bad in it. Are they suppose to take them to anambra without any attempt to reabilitate them and empower them? Or what's PointB crying over.
Politics › Re: 2015: APC Takes Battle To Jonathan’s Stronghold •south-south, South-east To Get by Standing5(m): 3:40pm On Aug 04, 2013
Why can't APC sweep Delta state both at governorship and presidential polls? Like the people of Edo, Deltans are aware of the Massive theft going on around them. Take for example the case of Uduaghan who has suddenly woken up from his slumber to start building schøols, roads, and increasing civil servant salaries by approx . 30 percent without any increase in Federal Allocation, IGR, or Borrowing.
Deltans will soon figure out the mathematics in the above and demand that PDP leave.
Politics › Re: Fact-check: Government Arresting And Jailing Street Beggars Is Common Trend by Standing5(m): 10:12am On Aug 04, 2013
passion007: It's baffling how few of the Yorubas here are getting worked up! Over what exactly? Some comment made by some dude who may or may not be Igbo. grin grin

Plus, I was made to understand that tribalism is a game nairalanders play, so since when did it cease being a game, such that you guys have begun sending Anti-Igbo BBM broadcasts. Clearly, you're taking this too much to heart... This is quite disturbing, yet strangely hilarious.
Go to ten Ibo people while disguised as one of them (an Igbo) and ask each of them what they feel about the host community. Maybe your view will change a bit. This is not to say all Ibos think alike but you go carry out the test and see for yourself how wrong some posters here are - if they wrong at all.

4 Play: Nigeria spends 700bn Naira on education and health, human capital, whilst spending 1 trillion Naira on subsidising fuel consumption. Therefore, in the minds of Nigerians, cheap fuel is 43% more important than education and health put together.

Investment › Re: Mutual Funds In Nigeria: Please Share Your Experience by Standing5(m): 10:09am On Aug 03, 2013
Chillisauce: I tried mutual fund in standard chartered. After charging me 1000usd for mutual fund manager who monitored nothing. I was pissed. At the end of the 1/2 yr tenure, I spent 7000usd but received 6420usd after profit.

I had to cut the engagement because no one was monitoring the investment only concerned about their charges.

Pls know that I wasn't informed I will be paying for a manager, I just saw it withdrawn from my account, when I contacted the manager, then was told its their charges.

I wouldn't have if I knew they charge such.

I will still come back to fight them, not over, let me take care of business here first

angry

He made these comments in Akwa Ibom. With all the noise we are hearing from Akpabio's camp, i think Akpabio should be more worried, especially with his relationship with Gej being a cordial one and Mark being one of the top men from the region that want to replace Gej in 2015.

Peter Obi's plan to blackmail Fashola will now come back to hunt him too. The 'Deportees' never told us people died while in the care of LASG. How come they are only dying now? Afterall they informed Obi's Anambra govt. of the move.
