The local refineries have been declared irredeemable. Dangote is about to take a lion share of the market also. It is becoming clearer to even the politically blind where Nigeria is being driven to. The south will soon wake up and see the country in the hands of private and northern hands. That time the story won't be of quota system but one of hardworking northerners who rose from scratch to dominate empty noise makers. |

joseph1832: How can you say that? It seem to me you're the type to refuse to believe the truth even when it's been shoved down your throat.
What you quoted and called my opinion is something that every man with eyes can see, expect those who have been brainwashed from seeing the truth.
So tell me, RCCG and every church is registered under whose name, God? Do you name a child God after church dedication? or drop birth certificate at church during dedication? The name under whom they are registered means little but the purpose they serve mean a lot. |

If the so called church is really God's property, how come just about anybody can't stand on the pulpit a d preach and have it televised? After all, the church is God's property, right?. The bold is just your opinion. Jesus too would have been assumed to own the upper room until he was crucified. RCCG too had a founder who handed over to Adeboye. Are the properties for the original founder? |

joseph1832: Now how do we know God is the one choosing the ministers?. Like is there a process God uses to choose the ministers, like there's a process use in choosing leaders in a democracy?.
Has it ever occurred to you that almost any idiot can gather a set of foolish people and tell them God called them? The Bible says we should test all spirits. You have a part to play too. When Paul was called how did the Gentiles identify with him? |

I disagree. It will.
The way we are now means we look up to ND oil for income and that has made the leaders unaccountable. If oil dries and our tax or rather sweat is being used to run this country, there is no way a state will have christian taxpayers and want to build mosques openly. No leader will leave me with dead healthcare and travel abroad to treat simple ailment. Nobody will look up to govt for pilgrimage sponsorships. Nobody will steal and flaunt it because they will publicly donate the bullets that will kill him. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Ending SARS Pastors In Nigerian Churches By Deji Yesufu by Standing5(m): 3:24pm On Nov 22, 2020 |
The church does not belong to one man; the church belongs to a people. These people at some point will covenant together to become a people of God. These people then will elect from among themselves a minister; or employ a minister to lead the congregation. But ultimately the church belongs to them and they will choose what direction they wish that church will go.
What is described here sounds like a satanic church. Where people just wake up and agree on doctrines they want to hear then elect a leader or minister to lead the church while they pay his salary. What happened to God choosing his anointed? This is just logistical church set up. No guaranty of prophetic blessings and is open to competition for scriptural blessings. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Ending SARS Pastors In Nigerian Churches By Deji Yesufu by Standing5(m): 3:16pm On Nov 22, 2020 |
joseph1832: why does it sound like a foolish idea to you? Is it because it doesn't extol the ways of your money groveling pastors? It sound like a very foolish idea because the writer talked about people choosing the minister over them. God is the one who calls men and send them to his people as ministers and not the democracy the writer is trying to inject into the church. The church does not belong to one man; the church belongs to a people. The above is another reason why it sounds foolish to me. The church is Gods property and managed by his ministers and pastors. |
