Education › Re: Rape Bill Allegedly Targeted At Lecturers – ASUU by Standing5(m): 1:37pm On Jul 13, 2020
thenewsadvocate:
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU), has criticized the recent Bill passed by the National Assembly on sexual harassment and rape, describing it a design to victimize university lecturers.

ASUU insisted that the Rape Bill is allegedly targeted at its members.

Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, the National President of ASUU, noted that, the Bill passed by the Assembly, though, yet to be signed into law, does not go well with ASUU.

Prof.Ogunyemi maintained that the Bill is discriminatory and also targeted at the male lecturers.

According to him,” our reaction to that Bill is that it is discriminatory and is targeted at male lecturers.

“We don’t want a situation, where male lecturers will begin to say they don’t want to teach female students, because they say we should not smile to female students.

“So time may come, when male lecturer will say, we won’t teach female students, let them get female lecturers, let them get female supervisor.

“l’m not sure, we want that, and that is not also healthy for the society. Because at one point or the other, there will be a point of interface. So, what we are seeing is that we have laws in the society, that already addressed issues of sexual harassment, issues of rape.

“Another form of victimization is that male students can also be raped in one way or the other and this has not been taken into account or has this type of bill passed.

“We went to the public hearing and we read our objections, well, we have not seen the newly passed bill, but, what we are told is that our views will be taken into account and we said, if they are laws in the society that already addressed the issues of harassment and rape, why are we duplicating efforts?”

Prof. Ogunyemi further argued that “if it meant to cover all and some strata of the educational system, which means it could be a bill meant to cover all genders or both genders, male or female, which we have not seen. Our worries is that all their talks is centred on the higher institutions, which should stop because they are stigmatising and is like they are labelling lecturers as criminals or potential criminals.”

Ogunyemi said,” we can still raise our voices against that bill to ensure that it will promote equity, fairness, and then, that is where we can have justice for all. We are against the sexual harassment of our students. We do not support it in any form.”

@topic, that's a sad development. To hear that people who are suppose to be moral mentors are scared of consequences of rape is very bad.

I think the point here is which category of people are they targeting? Natural disaster displaced persons or conflict displaced persons? If the latter, then we know for sure this is a jihadists agenda because it makes no sense that criminals from Ethiopia and Mali will kill villages and escapees will be relocted to a camp to be monitored by govt. They should be driving off the terrorists and not settling the villages in to camps.

You mean for 3rd and 4th position ?

Man City slowed down to concentrate on UCL and will want to go back to EPL next season after a season off. Liverpool too will fancy continuing their dominance.
Chelsea and Man Utd are just two old superpowers with huge fan base away from home. Even Leicester might displace one of Chelsea or United from top four this and next season. Plus Morhino isn't sleeping.
Sports › Re: Chelsea Will Surely Cause Problems For European Teams With These Lineups by Standing5(m): 7:44pm On Jul 12, 2020
Great100000:
Chelsea Will surely cause problems for European teams if Lampard can possibly use this two Lineup's

After the captures of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively, fans are waitinf for Frank Lampard to successfully seal the deal for Havertz. Lampards squad would look incredibly strong in the attacking third.

The Blues have arguably exceeded expectations and, at present, they look a good bet to be involved in next season’s Champions League competition and this will only strengthen their appeal to secure Havertz signature.

European teams will be in big trouble if Chelsea manager Frank Lampard uses any of the two dangerous formations ahead of new campaign next season, as likes of Kai Havertz, Chilwell, Taglafico are reportedly linked with the blues.
Attack is a good form of defence but isn't the only form of defence and truth be told, Chelsea sucks in their defensive abilities. Good teams these days are the one who possess defensive minded attacking players who are willing to chase the ball while in opposition's possession. Can Ziyech, Pulisic, Werner, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Abraham and co defend when not in possession? The answer is key.

Till Ziyech can come to the most competitive league in the world, score 7 goals and GIVE SIX ASSISTS all in just 10 games, win a "goal of the month" award and become the premier league player of the month twice back to back, all still within 10 games,

THEN MAYBE WE CAN THINK OF BRINGING HIS NAME INTO CONVERSATIONS THAT HAVE THE LIKES OF BRUNO FERNANDEZ.
Last last football isn't a game of individuals but of collective achievements. There is pulisic already and I wonder why the aren't comparing him to Rashford yet. If I remember correctly, Arsenal used to win the battle of most effective signings but no titles. So chill.
Sports › Re: "Stop Comparing Ziyech And Bruno"-here Is The Statistics by Standing5(m): 7:35pm On Jul 12, 2020
Good analysis OP.

Ziyech is a outgoing person while Bruno is more of the conservative type. That may swing the impending battle in Bruno's favour. Plus Bruno is slightly younger and naturally more athletic. Bruno also has a balanced right/left leg usage compared to Ziyechs stronger left which makes him a winger.

Check some of the great playmakers like Sneigder(Wesley), Deco, David Silva, Xavi, Iniesta they have balanced right/left leg strength.

Yes. Homos are endangering us by refusing to produce but same people who support them are supporting animals at expense of humans.
In fact same people rooting for animals also call blacks animals (monkeys) but are against blacks.

That leaves us with a hypocritically impossible contradiction.

Humans are confused.

Empiree, I hope you are seeing this. This is what Islam has done over the years.  Very soon we will be told that this was a mosque from the beginning. We may even be told that it existed from Mohamed's time. That's how Islam seeks to change history - through lies and deceit.

I trust your friends Lukuluku69, Rashduct4luv, iamgenius, and co. who appear to have gone AWOL, are also observing how, OVER TIME, Islam attempts to change history. Unfortunately Islam ends up being caught in its own web.
Carnality has destroyed their thought pattern. God tabernacles with men. Their own religion is a typical man made one. They don't trust God for anything because their own god cannot change anything. They preach fate in one breathe and preach faith in the next, a very stupid form of paradox, all out of strife.
