Have they run out of contacts to trace? Don’t they have people calling their hotlines begging to be tested but are denied because they have no travel history? So why would they even need to conduct a door to door search for people with the Coronavirus? I don't understand.
Nigeria things is largely for the fulfilment of righteousness. Just activity to fill people pocket.

Your head must be dry of oil.

What happened to all the fake miracles they have been performing....pastor chris has a healing school where he claims tumours can disappear, this men have milked the gullible for years with fake miracles.

Now we call them out to do the actual miracle but they are nowhere to be found. If they claimed they cured the blind, deaf, lame, SS to AA, hiv, fibroid etc Then why can't they do justice to coronavirus....

Just shut up if you have nothing to say
You with engine oil inside you on skull If I ask you to supply sources backing those alleged claims by pastor Chris, I already know the answer to the question.

Healing is a function of the faith of the pastor, the faith of the healed and power at work among others so I doubt any single man of God will stand to say he can heal anything. Only Jesus can and even at that, it is subject to so many things and not just the babalawo styled healing you guys are craving for.

Who remembers pastor Chris oyakhilome the great miracle healer, cured several thousands of people, the lame, the deaf, blind, cancer patients, kidney diseases etc....he was indeed a serial healer, this is when we need him most to the magic....
By now, we should be hearing; pastor! There is a coronavirus patient here, he has been healed!!!.

Chai, that bros don scam boys!!

But all our powerful prophets have all gone to hiding waiting for coronavirus to be over so they can start healing again....Adeboye, Tb joshua, Oyedepo, where hath thou
You guys are pathetic at best o. Where did those pastors claim they can heal anything?

What I know that they preach of is. "Jesus Christ the healer". Above all there is faith commitment from both the party through which the healing is taking place and the healed. You guys just concoct nonsense against these men of God and start running with it.

Surgical face-masks used to cost about N13 before Coronavirus. It would cost less than N260m to make enough face-masks for every Lagosian.
Good analysis. The advanced nations know the advantages of cutting out unnecessary middlemen in times like these. They are ready to convert fabric making factories to mask making lines. What do we have to fall back on here? little.
Our factories are run by foreigners who have all eloped to the better comfort of their own govt towards covid-19. And even at that most of our factories are packaging based factories. to worsen matters, we are corrupt, fantastically.

Health › Re: Covid-19 Patients Being Treated In Lagos Hospital Beg Nigerians To Stay At Home by Standing5(m): 7:01pm On Apr 02, 2020
Seun:
Staying at home is not the answer for a country with so much poverty. There is no point in saving ppl from the Coronavirus only for them to die of hunger and malnutrition and increased crime. The lockdown policy is simply unsustainable. It is at best a temporary measure to enable the government to get it’s act together. It is not a long-term strategy.

There is no country that has beaten the Coronavirus just by asking people to stay at home. The countries that are beating the Coronavirus, China and South Korea, both did 2 things:
1) Massive testing of suspected cases and isolation of infected people.
2) Encouraging everybody to wear face-masks in public to dramatically reduce the rate of transmission, because many carriers of the virus have no symptoms and can still spread it

Those are the key things we need to do. Shutting down the economy will rob us of the financial resources that we need to carry out the measures that actually work. If we actually calculate economic losses for each day that Lagos is closed, we would be shocked.

Just as asking people to abstain from sex to prevent AIDS never worked, but urging them to use condoms worked, asking people to stay at home when they are poor, cannot work. Our government doesn't have the resources to feed everyone until the vaccine is ready. What we need is for people to use a condom for their faces when they have to go out. If 80% of us can wear face-masks, the problem is solved.
You have to understand that in corridor of power in naija, Yes Yes Yes attitude is a bog problem. They probably bragged to baba or bubu that the cash transfer can reach most of the poor and affected and Buhari too like a combatant commander will believe them. He may not even know 50% of what's going on.
Health › Re: Covid-19 Patients Being Treated In Lagos Hospital Beg Nigerians To Stay At Home by Standing5(m): 6:54pm On Apr 02, 2020
Seun:
Lockdowns are especially unsustainable in a poor country. Poor people cannot stay at home for long. All over the world, celebrities are sitting at home and encouraging us to do the same because they don't have to work. Poor people have to work. Our government can’t feed them all.

The virus will be with us for months. The vaccine won't be available until next year. Massive testing and isolation, enforcement of face-masks and hygiene, etc can be sustained for years in a strong economy. Lockdowns can't. People are already protesting in Lagos after just two days!

It is not cheap. The wealth of a nation is the productivity of its people. A nation whose people are not working grows poorer every day. The true cost of the lockdown is the value of the goods and services that people would have produced if they were not forced to stay at home. The cost of massive testing and putting a mask on every face is high, but compared to the loss of productivity due to the lockdown, it's nothing at all.
If only 20% of the people understood the bold, the world will be w much better place. Especially in Nigeria where productivity is replaced by activities.

In times like these the idea of printing a little more money to hide the effect of its shortage isn't so bad. What is bad is our character as a nation when it comes overturning the negative effect of this Tinubu advise. America has the character and capacity to do just that.
Just like in covid-19 we copied policies that didn't suite us and are trying to do same with printing of naira. Let us rather channel the last FAAC allocation of half a trillion to fighting COVID-19.

Tinubu and the likes won't like this advice of mine because they directly and indirectly own the major companies getting paid for infrastructural works.

It has been very difficult for average Nigerians in Nigeria to get tested. In most cases, they are screened out as low priority.

For this reason, we came together to setup a First-Contact service for average Nigerians.

Everything you need to know about our strategy to give full attention to everyone is on our Nairaland thread.

We have repeatedly reached out to persons who indicated that they were experiencing certain Covid-19 associated symptoms, offered medical advise, and channeled the data to the responsible government agencies for immediate intervention.

Politics › Re: Coronavirus: Ogun State To Stop Non-Essential Inter-State Movement From Monday by Standing5(m): 9:14am On Mar 29, 2020
Seun:
This is ******. I hope it doesn't affect Nairaland. The #ShutDownNigeria people don't have a very deep understanding of how an economy works. The vast majority of business activities in a developing country like Nigeria are essential. Very few people going to Lagos just for fun. Our leaders think that shutting things down is a viable alternative to massive testing and isolation of those who test positive, and sadly, we are cheering them on. There is no quick fix to the Coronavirus. There is no alternative to massive testing, isolation and contact tracing. We have to be smart.

To be shutting down a country to stop a virus is like shooting a man dead to kill the sickness in his body. Does it work? Yes. But it's also ******. I say instead of that, find a drug that targets the sickness in his body and kills it without killing the man. That's the only real solution to this issue.

There are only two countries whose efforts to beat the Coronavirus have been really successful. China and South Korea. I suggest that they are the only people that we should be listening to. They both encourage the widespread use of facemasks. They both do massive testing and isolation of infected people. China shut down part of their country but South Korea didn't do that despite having around 1,000 new cases per day at peak. They just continued to do every smart thing that could reduce the rate of transmission of the virus, and it worked and is working.

If you put a mask on every face, educate everybody about how to conduct their business without spreading the virus, and do massive testing of all people suspected to have the virus, and that doesn't work (it will), that's when you can start thinking of shutting things down. Our politicians won't even distribute face-masks to market women in Lagos who are begging them for it, or wear them, but they want to #ShutDownNigeria.
Blackman's case is very complicated. We have all the natural resource needed to do more than what south Korea or China/Wuhan is doing but our structure as a country isn't that of nation trying to move forward but as one with many group trying to dominate one another. These nations have good research and technological drive and have put them to good use in the event of Coronavirus. We actually don't have those. For example our manufacturing sector or industrial sector actually doesn't exist because virtually all the brains driving it are foreign brains. If we had industrial and technological expertise, we could have attempted to mass produce masks and testing kits but what we have as industries are largely packaging plants that import largely finished goods and package them in Lagos/Ogun state axis.

That's what you should have asked before assuming and jumping into a conversation with your own suspicions which aren't my ideas.

If you took time to read what I initially wrote, you would have noticed I started with "it can be a result of God's wrath..." before going on to provide a scripture that demonstrate God's willingness to visit upon persistent and unrepentant evil doers against his people, His wrath.

I also attempted to show how God has programmed his ministers in the middle of this arrangement.
His ministers are the sword bearers here. Maybe you should be less assuming and willing to concluded issues within yourself next time. Take a look at all the people I replied to and who replied to that post and make a better use of contextual exploration to better read the post.

Bottomline, GOD DOESN'T SEND VIRUS TO BELIEVERS OR NOT AS A FORM OF VENGEANCE. Get your Christians mind right....God is not willing that any should die or perish but that all should come to repentance.

because your knowledge about the character of God is distorted you can pick a verse and interpret out of context saying virus is God's vengeance. Was it God that instructed the Chinese to continue to eat live animals that the virus was traced to?
