Rayton: The masses are suffering Fuel hike is imminent Transport fares will increase House rents and school Fee's Are these things not enough for us to call for his resignation? I don't know how people think by saying we should give someone enough time to arrange things... People are dying daily, I mean starvation. This isn't a tribal thing but we have a right to demand Good governance any where. Am single and in my late 20's, graduate and I have never made enough money in my life as am doing in this recession period but IT ISN'T about ME but about my COUNTRY. The masses shouldn't die before the president take action. #BuhariMustGo# should go viral on twitter and every where for the interest of the yoruba man who can't afford a good meal, the Hausa man who can't send his kids to school, The Igbo who can't import his goods due to Forex, the Ijaw man who doesn have good roads and lights e.t.c Is Buhari the cause of the recession. |

blazer234: You comment insensibly.
Was this the promise your party made when campaigning? You claimed the government would transform Nigeria for the masses, but now, you have turned the table, asking the masses to transform Nigeria's for the government.
You think Nigerians are fools?
Your party will discover that they are the fools by 2019 .
Your party's defeat starts with the Edo election.
If you like, postpone the election for 3 months, APC will still lose
I'm certain some of you have blocked brains. You will still hail buhari even if he raaaaapes your mom. eople feal pain but I can tell even pain personified felt you. Keep the pain mood up it serves you well for all the vile trash you said towards Buhari before election. |

dimieprincess: I received the "change begins with me" campaign of the Buhari's government with so much discomfort because I am now convinced they lack what leadership is all about. What kind of change do they expect from us? They increased gas, we accepted. They increased food price, we obliged. No salaries as workers have being subjected to live in squalor , yet no one takes to the street. Exchange rate is at all time high, we still accorded them respect.
The yearly 4000 MW they promised us is no where near obtainable, yet we obliged them their respect as our unfortunate leaders. The worst of all, there is no relics of improvement on virtually everything about Nigeria; we still pay our bills. There is multiple taxation, wit: increased in Stamp duties, introduction of communication tax and we are still willing to pay being Nigerians, increased in VAT etcetera.
Despite the hogwash and arrogance being shown to us, being Nigerians as the most religious country on earth we still pray for them in Churches, Mosques, Okija shrine, Orunmila shrine and in our private intentions. What change from us do they want? Is it until they sell us to China?
I think this campaign of "change begins with me" by the APC FG is a joke taken too far, "Change" does not begin with me. Change should begin with President Muhammadu Buhari and his government. In my candid view, this campaign is another diversionary tactics by the ruling class to alter the narrative of the leadership failure that has plagued our nation over the years. Just like previous similar campaigns, this one will not yield any tangible result.
Let President Buhari and his government practice the change that they preach and Nigerians will follow suit. The attempt to shift responsibility from the governance to the governed is unacceptable. Pro Buhari fanatics might have promised change or in any case, it was Buhari and his party that promised Nigerians change and not the other way round. If this is an attempt to distract our attention from the terrible and excruciating economic situation in the country it has failed already. Never again shall Nigerians be hoodwinked to such cheap campaign.

Majority of the present bad an non functional loans were given to oil players instead of SME's that would have generated more IGR. Gaborone: The only thing our President hasn't told us EXPRESSLY is 'To your tents oh Israel!'.
With his latest jibe at Nigerians (Be the change before you demand the change we promised), I can't help but get very angry at him, and of course, with the general population of Nigerians who voted him in.
I mean, how could we (Read: YOU) vote in a man who didn't say a word when barbarians were killing and maiming youth corps members in his name, after he lost the 2011 elections? Who never came out to play the good loser by calling them to order? How could we (Read: YOU, again) vote in a man who showed his intolerance by subtly (or openly?) calling for bloodshed after he had lost an election? Who didn't really do anything substantial during his time of military rule?
Nigerians are funny. What better way to access a man, than with his precedents, more so, when he hasn't renounced them or shown repentance? You all voted in a man who didn't feel a thing when innocent people were killed because of him after that election, and you expect him to empathise with you when you tell him you cannot buy tomatoes, or your children are stranded abroad? Funny. You expect him to perform some wonder this time around when history has it that he had less than stellar results as per his rule in 1983?
Why did we get it wrong, despite the point of reference we had on Buhari, now President?

#Excuse my incoherence; just thinking out loud. You are a bloody razist. |

plaetton: Lol.
This guy doesn't understand the real role of banks in an economy.
Banks leverage deposits to create money and credit , that in turn, stimulate and expand the economic activities.
The amount of deposits the banking system has is directly proportional to the amount of money and credit they create to fuel economic expansion.
Draining 4-5℅ of GDP from the banking system at once , for any reasons whatsoever, is unheard of, talkless of doing it in a monoproduct economy at a time economic contraction. You have a good point but you exergerated its degree of effect. TSA effect is negligible and is merely being exergerated by people who oppose the current admin for either political or economic reason. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria In Recession Because Of Hurried Implementation Of TSA – Ben Murray Bruce by Standing5(m): 6:28pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
blueto: the implementation of the TSA was being done in phases or gradually by the previous govt.
the reason was that the previous govt understood the fact that the Nigerian banking industry & by extension the economy was primarily driven by government spending & while there were concrete plans to make it more private sector driven, it knew that pulling out government funds from the banks in one fell swoop would negatively impact the economy, might lead to a recession, create instability in most banks, restrict the ability of banks to loan money to investors, threaten existing loans and other negative consequences.
hence the gradual implementation, with banks adjusting gradually to the changing times.
But unfortunately for the Nigerian economy, the certificateless cattle rearer who was devoid of economic knowledge and proficiency was voted in and without even considering the repercussions of the swift implementation of TSA, quickly implemented it in full scale and blamed Jonathan for failing to implement it in full scale, of which ultimately submerged the economy into recession.
No wonder Obasanjo had to admit that Buhari is not economically sound despite their current fraternization. Pathetic bigot. Why didn't we get any warning concerning this from the camp of you and yours? You guys can spin cluelessness into absolute stupidity and celebrate it as heroism. |
