The latest 4.3 updates by Samsung are terrible, only on WiFi can u get ur true battery life

Note that it was written targetted to Note 3. So only do the ones that are not specially for note 3, like DO NOT flash the note 3 kernel ooooh!!! Lol.

Mastercard should work fine on PlayStore, at least it does work fine on Apple's App store i know that... Anyways, I opted for VISA as it is more acceptable worldwide. I'm even Going to be buying 3 Urban Armor Gear Cases online for S4, Note 3 and iPhone 5 tomorrow

First, Make SURE you are using a recommended Samsung Accessory. I.e An ORIGINAL S3 charger. So, buy a charger! Blackberry chargers output is around 750mAh. And an S3 charger if i'm not mistaken should be around 1.0A (1000mAh). So it shouldn't work well! Even if it was the same thing or even higher, Muslims go to the mosque, Christians go to church. So, again! Buy an ORIGINAL charger.

Also, drain ur battery completely. Turn phone on and let it go off by itself again, make sure it is flat so as the phone can't power on. Pull the battery out and let it sit there for about 15 minutes. Then put it back in, leave phone switched off and charge full, with your ORIGINAL Samsung Galaxy S3 charger. I'm sure you should be able to get one for around 2,500 to 5,000. If you think that is too expensive, wait till your phone has serious issues!

Yes! KiKat has been made even more 'Lite'. It is optimized even for older phones as the Nexus One with only 512MB of RAM. Note 3 and S4 will receive these updates officially starting January, while S3 and Note 2 somewhere in March/April or so.

Go into settings > Manage Applications > All Appllications. Scroll down to Google Play Store. Select it. Clear cache then clear data. Reboot phone and try Play Store again. Cheers!

Not exactly what we do here, but try the Etisalat 1,100 naira for 3GB. I'm sure that should be the best bang for ur buck. Look for the settings somewhere in the internet section or so...

Firstly, make sure you are using original Samsung chargers only, secondly, did you happen to flash a custom kernel by any means? If you did.. Reflash it. If not, Samsung chargers actually do that... Try a different socket. More preferably, a wall socket (not extensions).

If you did full wipe and it is still hanging, could it be an app you installed? IF you didn't full wipe, full wipe it from recovery mode. DOn't know how to get to recovery mode? Read first few pages.

NOTE: Wiping in Stock Samsung Recovery will wipe all the data in the internal sd. SO Backup whatever u need from there to ur memory card or better still, PC first!

Also, post ur current setup. ROM, build, kernel let me have a looksy. Settings > About phone then scroll to the end. The information there...

tj_sadiq: How du I get to download mode,cos odin doesn't see my fone wen plugged in,so can't flash.

It is written in the first few pages. Keep holding Volume Up + Home + Power button till you get the instruction saying you should press volume up to go into download mode. Read first few pages if this isn't clear enough it's same way for S2, S3, S4, Note, Note 2 and Note 3. Cheers!

Have a problem though. A friend came to mε with her note 3, that she is unable to open the google play store on her phone. I tried to open it for her, it just keeps on rolling and then says RETRY.

What do u suggest I do?

Here is what you do... Go into settings then select Application manager, scroll right till you get to 'ALL' applications tab. Scroll down to Google Play Store. Select it. Then 'Clear cache' and 'clear data'. Reboot phone. Set phone to 'WCDMA ONLY'(3G). Now open Play store and wait a bit. It should work. Don't forget to set phone back to Automatic or GSM ONLY (2G/EDGE) when u are done, as i know not everywhere in Nigeria 3G reception is good. Cheers!

Tooo many questions.... Mate! Official 4.3 isn't available for any region from what i can see, however i am sure there are leaks.
When it is available, it will pop up here - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N7100. The Region code for Nigeria is 'ECT'.
Btw, I won't encourage pirated apps in this thread, if you like an app, support the dev(s) and buy the App from Play Store.

tj_sadiq: hello guys, so i flashed a stock 4.3 Rom,lost root...and tried to re root with CFroot via odin. it tells me its rooted on Odin but SU wasnt granted acces on d fone due to sum security blockage. I read sumwhr abt flashing 'knox disabled bootloader' to b able to root. But after flashing it,it failed..now am stuck with dis msg.

What phone? Reflash stock.

It comes out of the box as N900XXUBMI5
then it was updated to N900XXUBMJ1
and now to N900XXUCMJ7 just yesterday.

N900XXUCMJ7 is the one with bad battery! Trust me! You will regret updating to it! I will let you know when it's fine to update. Cheers!

This is a warning to all Galaxy Note 3 Users. If you have received a notification saying that a new software is available. DO NOT UPDATE IT! This is the worst update ever released for the Note 3 and it causes battery to drain faster. Battery life is NO WHERE as good as what it should be. However, this is only a software issue and should be fixed by the next update! Come back to this thread from time to time, to check when I will tell you that it is Safe to update! This message is meant for those people that bought their Note 3 in Nigeria especially, as I am monitoring the Nigerian updates only and not other regions. Thank you.
