forget it. We are South Africans always feel lucky to be South Africans. We look at Nigeria and we feel no envy at all, on the contrary we are lucky not to experience your conditions. Why do you always think people are envious of you? Why do you think you're so special?
You are speaking for yourself only. Take it or leave it, many African country look up to us and we are a bigger sis to other country. Although lately we haven't been living up to expectation, it doesn't mean people don't still cherish and envy us. I like to see the envy as a positive thing unlike the first person you replied may have stated otherwise.

Africans and our sense of entitlement or should I say this Kimani is simply being stupid?
You're questioning someone on who and who she selects to work with on her project, her f*cking project not yours.
What happened to you selecting other artistes you feel were 'neglected' and record your album too?
That's how Bonang or what's she called ranting Beyonce didn't feature any South African artiste, forming Pan-African on top another man's work.
Idiats!!!
Oga she has a right to complain and she is entitled to it. Haba
She is only making an observation here. Just leave her alone. She didn't break the movie by complaining.

He said he bought in a super store so it's likely a rich man working in that NGO brought it home.

This is Nigeria where the rich men are getting richer through corruption and trampling on poor man's penny. Na original thunder go fire such people angry

I hate nonsense! cry sad angry
At the end of the day, The society will say na God don bless him hustle. How can a country be in abject povert, yet some people can afford to be multi-billionaire with private jet and all but their home town and local government area is without a borehole.
As much as there are genuinely rich people in our society. The source of wealth of many are questionable, as it is a mix of genuine and blood, why some are all blood. May God help us.

Honestly, I'm not sure, that's why I'm suprised & impressed that you got it all mapped out.
Mapping things out over time has been a skill I learnt when I read a book "Talent is overrated" written by Geoffrey Colvin. The book was an indept study of many child prodigy and renowned world class sport performers and Business tycoon. The conclusion was that although some people where really fortunate but the untold story was that some of their efficient and accurate strategy was based on conscious effort and plan and many didn't happen all of a sudden as many people think. e.g Albert Einstein(The father of modern physicst and the most celebrated genius) was chased out of school at 15 because he wasn't coping and was very dull. although this was true but the full story was that he was always a child prodigy in mathematics and physics and dislike the unpragmatic ways teachers teach their student. Also he didn't show interest in many other subjects outside science. But many wrongly thought he was so dull and all of a sudden became intelligently at some point because his condition changed his thinking.
It also mean if you plan to do something, there are many possibility that it may happen although not all of it.
So I have been following this opinion for sometime now and truth is I have been able to achieve something I hoped for although not all the time though.

Oh OK lol.

I honestly don't wanna be THAT wealthy. It sounds stressful. However, I do wanna live comfortably & that's my goal. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
five years from now should be 2024 right?
Hmmm, by then I would be really working myself out. From next year it will be all about my worklife. I may bearly come to nairaland, I plan to work for about 15 years together (with masters and PhD) stuffs and set up my tech organizations. It's a plan in progress.
So in five years time I should be working and maybe married(This will have to happen miraculously). And I see myself in another society.

lol..
Believe me,I have not craved to meet any person that much.
I can pay to be entertained by may favourite artist but I can't just start having unnecessary orgasms over meeting my fellow mortal
All men are equal yet not all men are the same

I know you have a special skill in something and if you're given a good platform, you will be a world class performer.
But even at that you might never be better than messi in football and if you were you may never be better than Albert Einstein in physics and if you were you can never be better than Tiger Woods in golf and if your were you can never be all that at the same time within your short life span. All humans are unique and this uniqueness makes us cherish them not because they are better than us but because they are a beautiful part of another part of life we aren't in this timeline.
Don't think that I am ignorant of people worshipping others o and seeing them as demi-gods but then again genuine appreciation is also a part of our humble nature as a human.

For me if given a chance I would love to see Nicolas Tesla, Alber Einstein or Alan Turing. My career and dreams where built around their Idea. If I see them I will like to just have a nice discussion on issues not basically related to professional field. The experience would be overwhelming.

I still think the law against rapist is not severe
If it was to rape sef go fear person
Actually 14 years is the minimum punishments if found guilty but the problem so far has been that out of 10 accused rapist found guilty. probably only 3 are actually punished. culturally, our society encourage rape since people try to hide victims of rape because of fear of stigmatization.

School security is not designed for the benefit of cultist. And just know that when a group marks anyone for a hit, it scarcely fails even if you Jide the person in an army base.

A day will come when that target will let down his guard and be killed.

The best security from cultism is to stay away. Don't ever be a member. Don't allow yourself to be labeled an ex member for this hardly exist for both your former colleague and your opponent
You address this cultists as if they aren't humans and they are some semi-gods.
This cultists also live in our society, they don't live in the skies.
This advice you very well know do not work well with youth, they are very inquisitive and energetic people. So your advice is a clear contradiction of the reality.
Read about OAU massacre and how they stopped cultism in the school for more than 20years.Infact up till now, no One can clearly shout-out he is a cultist.
When the society and the people are fed up, nothing can change it. A lasting solution is what I am proposing, I am not saying your petty advice doesn't have any effect.

see bro, the only solution is for u to shun cultism, no police force in the world can wipe away cultism. even in advanced countries we have strong Mafia's n gangs. the best thing is to shun them n avoid them, fighting cultism is like trying to fight corruption or poverty it's impossible just shun cultism. I went to a school where cultism is the order of the day n even it got to a stage the Vc had to intervene. all he said at the end of the day is avoid cultism totally n if u check d modus operandi of cultist my brother they can never kill u over minor issues. they can only kill u if u are a cultist.
I will leave the you to your opinions but remember this cultists are humans. The USA you talked about do not enter into school and kill student in broad daylight.
Cultism is a Nigeria thing, almost no part of the world have dreaded cultism in school like this. The mafia gangs and co you mention are organized criminals. There is a major difference.
And additionally I have been win area where Cultism abound and yet I have no problem with them but the rate they operate in broad daylight is alarming.

nobody will apprehend anyone in this case, if u attend a cult infested school u will understand. no do anyhow no see anyhow, if u price u go pay irrespective of where u are or who u are. just shun cultism that's all n u will b free
you people should be careful with this advice. We all know not everyone can be calm and not everyone is informed. The bigger picture is there must be recruitment and there must be oppression. A lasting solutions is for school management together with the society to tsckle this menace.

so after school made it clear for all students to shun cultism, he still went ahead n u expect the school security to follow him about? is he the only student that just finished writing exam? bro that's d modus operandi of cultist.
take it or leave it. school security in Nigeria is zero. The lack of security it also an encouragment for increase in crime and oppression. I have never been attacked by a cultist but that is because I had to deny myself the pleasure of moving freely in my school and expressing my opinion in public. For the fact it worked doesn't make it right.
