NGpatriot: This man turned into a one trick pony, he has nothing sane and rational to offer, he's a track shouting and screaming negativity dog.
All they do is sprinkle kerosene, escalate tension and divisiveness but never offer solutions, sound ideas and a better way forward, they all want to be heard and sound relevant, but all they do is fill our airwaves with acrimony.
What do we need from dead enders like this man at this moment in time? Appeal to our youths to stop looting, to stop destroying public properties, stop destroying businesses and jobs.
They are too consumed with political fights and blame game while adding to the tension and the same ills they shed crocodile tears on everyday on the news media.
Our task as Nigerians now is to heal, not further decision and tension. I have read tons of books that has offered solution for a way forward in Nigeria. So far who has been listening? Please don’t be unfortunate. |

The country was going on in the right direction when old and experienced men like Tafewa Balewa , Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello and Azikiwe were ruling what sort of insane statement did you just write in your last paragraph? ethicallyright: The Governments across the world were able to manage Covid-19 pandemic because they were able to balance the right to life (protect the health of their citizens) and the right to movement by imposing a lockdown but allowing people to purchase necessaries while relaxing the lockdown slowly.
The Government of every nation has to create a balance between libel , hate speech and freedom of speech. If the Government blocks the internet so that there will be no libel or hate speech how will those making a living off the internet feel?
Creating a balance between conflicting interests is an important role of any leadership.
Chapter 4 of the Nigerian Constitution provides for right to peaceful assembly which involves right to protest and at the same time provides that no other person should restrict the right to movement of another. After SARS became defunct and the Federal Government promised to look into the 5 point demands, they started blocking roads and restricting the free flow of movement especially to workers who survive on daily income.
The trouble came because the youth saw so much power and then did not create a balance between road users and protesters. The government came in to create that balance. If they walked and protested on the pedestrian part of the road for a year, no one would care.
The first group of attackers were transport workers who clearly were fed up with the low income they were making daily because of road blockades. The youth, just like their old leaders failed to accept blame and rather pushed the attack on MC Oluomo , their chairman. Taking blame and knowing when to quit is also crucial.
That's just one of many answers to your question. I will give you other answers if you wish. How where the first form of attackers the transport workers?? Oh my God, please which location are you typing this from? Please please let’s be realistic here, first waves of attackers in Lagos precisely at Ikeja came with BRT buses, and in cases before the toll gate incident, thugs were organized and in group, this only happen if it was sponsored. Infact there was a video circulating around where a man dressed in suit in a jeep was transporting thugs around. It is very easy for you to cook up sweet conspiracy to back up your hallucinations but you would not find sufficient fact to back up same claims. Moreso you claimed that the president accepted the request but we all know that they are notorious for such behavior and the end result is that they wouldn’t do anything about it! Aside that you spoke about protesting at the road side, please what sort of protest is that? Blocking road is not violence of any form, it is to pressurize the government to act Speedily, what is in the five request that is so hard to implement? Be stop being dogmatic |

ethicallyright: When you lead you will not only encounter submissive people. The bulk of your followers would be those with views different from yours .
Those who led the protest had no control over it. They did not know when to stop and this led to anarchy. The damages the protest brought in the end outweighs its benefit because to stop this anarchy, the soldiers and policemen have employed brutality. Let me paraphrase you, you mean the peaceful youth should have fought away the youth thugs while still protesting peacefully?? Is that the job of the peaceful youth protesters? If Yes! then what happens to people paid to protect lives and property? Secondly, are the attacks by thugs and hoodlum inspired by the fact that they don't like peaceful protest? or the fact that they were hired to do their violent work like we have always observed? let me hear your view |
Celebrities › Re: Looting: Youths Are Their Own Problem – Charles Awurum (Video) by stanliwise(m): 1:59pm On Oct 26, 2020 |
ethicallyright: I'm a very young person but I know the youth are not different from the elders.
When they say youth should rule Nigeria people only think about the small percentage who had the privilege of acquiring quality education not the majority who never passed through a Philosophy and logic class or even understood what they were taught if they even attended the classes.
When they say youth should rule Nigeria people only think about those who graduated without any trouble in school not those who were running around campuses beheading fellow human beings like cavemen in the name of Cultism
When they say youth should rule Nigeria people only think of those living in Lekki and Banana Island with Satellite TV to see the world beyond their confines and not the majority living in slums with only propaganda Television channels like LTV and European football leagues at viewing centers at their disposal
When they say youth should rule Nigeria people think about the few rich entertainers and sportsmen who do not understand basic laws and are motivated by hard drugs.
They think about the woke ones on twitter not the ones breaking into people's businesses .
Amaechi, Udom , Yahaya Bello , Gowon ,Buhari (head of State) , Obasanjo (Head of State) , Ojukwu (Head of State) etc ruled as youths. We want the peaceful youth we saw at the protest ground to lead us. The ones who coordinate themselves and ask for freedom and reformation. We have all shades of youth but we want the youth that believe in a bright future of Nigeria. |

If the bank makes deductions from ur account and u dont know, then it is not wrong Wrong, Whether I know or not an impact has occurred, my money was deducted. If i come to ur house and peep at u fucking ur wife and u didnt know, it is not wrong Yes, no impact, except you viewing it. Every judgement ends with you and God who knows, zero impact on any other person. If i steal ur money and u dont know, it is not wrong
If ur maid or child or colleague takes money from ir wallet and u dont know, it is not wrong. Wrong, Of-course an impact has occurred, my money has been deducted, me being aware or not. Check the dictionary meaning of impact. More examples If a person make a lustful thought about a girl/boy in their heart, If a person smoke weed in his/her closet, if a person watches porn in his/her closet, If a person curses his/her lecturer/older person/elder in his/her mind. If for example a hacker break into someone social/bank account and left without any deduction/destruction to the account or the person in later time. The above list goes on one notable thing is that they are dangerous and generally is what people will frown upon when heard, but when it becomes you as just the only witness and the impact of such actions has no effect on other things, the judgement of whether wrong or right lies in just your domain and God(if you're a believer in supreme being), and which ever you pick the effect remains with you and has zero effect on the surrounding |

Some kidnapper dens, bio weapons and some deep secrets were found out by just people breaking into where they shouldn’t be. It wrong generally to break into people privacy but sometimes there are cases were fate makes it an exception. And in some cases it is even hard to even judge all together. Gray areas everywhere. |

chocboi78: I think I get you now, buh considering it will take a different turn as a result of the first act, isn't it wrong to start a smoke which might lead to a firestorm?? It is not advisable to ever indulge to start with, such attitude has a way of corrupting ones mind to try it again. For example I have hacked a friend info from his laptop he gave me to browse, I had all his vital details, out of curiosity I checked some of his badoo profiles and some other chat profiles, I had even up to his Liberty reserve account(then) to transfer his money but I didn’t. Later on I abandoned everything. Up till today he knows nothing about the event. I can only judge myself but aside that I don’t see anyone having such ability. And I wouldn’t advice people to do same it is tempting to go wrong |

Tango123: So, if this person becomes aware and takes legal action, u will look urself in the mirror, and be happy that u went to prison because u wanted to see the toto of a particular woman.
U can see thousands of them. Go online. Or go to the streets. Many will show u their vagina for 1 or 2k. Many will show u free
Y do u want to risk ur career and ur future to see a particular vagina. It is not worth it
Dont forget that just as u saw it by chance, another person can see it from u and expose it. Good digital detective work may lead it back to u
I am not here to judge based on morality. I am only saying it is not worth it
At the end of the day, its ir choice. But, if u continue along this line, one day, u may regret it This is what I hate, navigating from the idea of discussion. Is there anywhere I said it was worth it? I was only speaking to someone who said it is wrong. I said it will be wrong when the action has an impact. If it doesn’t then there is nothing like wrong or right there. It just happened and the opportunist took the advantage. Shikena |

Fafesot: I think there should be a chapter in nairaland which should be called lifestyle. Recently, I have started having this feeling of me becoming moody or filled with regrets sometimes because of the minor mistakes that I've made. Sometimes through talking, actions etc. I find it very hard to let go of the past,it's not really that I have a bad past, but the little mistakes I've made even decades ago still bothers me. I feel people still look at me with the minor mistakes that I've made in the long past. I've seen people who committed atrocities but still walk and speak confidently everywhere.. why is mine like this and what is the remedy ? Thanks everyone. There are remedy but one of them is: Living with the feeling... and still going about everyday job like you're alright. |

NGpatriot: If truly she lost her son in any unfortunate incident, I sympathize for her loss.
Having said that, we don't know the background story per how he died, where he was, what killed him, was he actually at the toll gate, who broke the news to her and what proof was shown to her to confirm that her son actually died, where is his body and how exactly was his death confirmed and ultimately who conducted the necessarily autopsy to determine the manner of death.
The gathering and the shouting and noise about keep sharing, keep sharing, keep sharing sounds more like people trying to spread fake news and propaganda, even their utterances doesn't sound like they just lost a son, it all sounds more like anti Nigerian propaganda.
One even called Nigeria a shitholde, sounds like these ipobbs are working overdrive to come up with any kind of wearped and insane narratives to pursue their fake news and destructive agenda.
This is a load of fake ipob news shi!t. I pray you won't loose your son and someone come up and say something similar to what you wrote up there. |

Tango123: He can go to jail for that. Its a crimw Correct! But that is only when there are evidence of such actions. I won't even go that route but here is my take. If an action has no impact on anyone or any being directly or indirectly, then such actions can't be exactly said to be wrong. The person phone being searched has no awareness neither was the person affected in any way. The best we can say is that it is wrong to my conscience and maybe to my God, but that is how far the judgement can go, it only takes a different turn when 1. The person becomes aware 2. I start to use it to blackmail such person 3. The files spread beyond my control and some other aftermath. |

If by any chance you lose this award, rest assured that another can be awarded without any hidden cost or rigorous requirement. Now, go in peace! Until you tell me how actions that has no impact becomes right or wrong then i can began to take you serious. We all do alot of things which sometimes we aren't so proud of, you can't say it is wrong, highest we can only say it is wrong to our mindset or most likely God but not the people who lack awareness and knowledge of the action neither is their any impact physically or psychologically. |

ABCthings: I'm not saying I support you but I'm wondering who made them a judge over this subject.
Things like privacy are guided by instincts. While I can find it a bit uncourteous to view my boss's image gallery and files, I might find it perfectly normal to view my friend's own. So it's really hard to draw a line here.
That's I'm still wondering who made them a judge and what were the criteria they used in making their judgement. ... The basic question is that does your action has an impact? We all do many things in life that has little or no impact on things, it is hard judge whether it is right or wrong. infact only God or our conscience can judge us. We many look at things lustfully, think alot of bad things in our mind but here is a question, has there been any impact? if No, then it is hard to say if it was wrong or right, there is no observer or evidence for such actions. |
