ANAMBRA IS THE SECOND MOST POPULATED STATE IN NIGERIA.
One of the challenges affecting Anambra so far is the nonchalant attitude of the people when it comes to availing themselves to government policies and planning. They are very disaffectionate towards government that they don't won't waste a second with anything governance.

It's good that so far they have learnt to be independent and cater for themselves without government. But then, they still need to understand that the money govt shares around are also their money too and they have to benefit from it anytime there is an opportunity.

Imagine viewing the Nigerian census data and seeing Benue, Niger, Sokoto, Oyo, Bauchi, Kaduna, Katsina, etc. having more population than Anambra. It's shocking.

I won't blame NPC sha, yeah I won't. The problem is Anambra people don't avail themselves of the census. And this is a problem because before FAAC shares allocation, they use your population to decide how much you will get. That is why you see states like Kaduna and Katsina getting more allocation than Anambra. Yeah, it's that bad.

But if you look at data from international organizations after Lagos, Anambra is always the most populated state in Nigeria. These are data coming from reputable organisations that are supported by the likes of USAID, UN and SWAC.

This says a lot about the credibility of NPC data on the population of Nigeria's states.

That's the same problem Abia State have too.
