I really don't get the point of her rants undecided. If you know you don't care about these gossips (even though you didn't deny the allegation but just kept going round in circles) and owe no one any explanation what you do with your life why not just ignore them completely.

FamilyRe: A Depressed House Wife Needs Urgent Advice by StateOfMind: 6:56pm On Apr 25, 2013
Did her husband also stop her from searching for jobs or is job searching now strictly for men?

Does the hubby work for a recruitment agency or is he a very influential man?

How did she survive for 10years of joblessness and zero income in this age?

And to think she kept on dropping kids.. Smh..I really pity this woman. In this era of female empowerment, a grown up lady is still waiting for her husband to get her a job and give her monthly upkeep. She's even complaining the poor hubby did not give her brother transport fare shocked shocked .

Op, I don't know the organisation that will employ your friend now o, an ICT graduate of over 10years with no job experience, zero exposure, no professional courses.... She for don rust tey tey and even age won't be on her side anymore. She better forget Msc and set her priorities right for the sake of her future and that of her kids.

RomanceRe: His Fiancee Aborted His Baby After His Death by StateOfMind: 4:01pm On Apr 25, 2013
biolabee: Some men can be hypocritical
I swear....! the hypocrisy on this thread stinks a lot! See them quoting bible passages and forming saints. All these girls tagged murderers, who gets them pregnant? Who sleeps with them? For every female murderer of a foetus, there is a male counterpart hanging somewhere too. Why condemn the woman alone.

I'm certain some of the men here screaming morality have one time or the other got their gfs pregnant and gone for abortion with them or whatever!

Some even talk as if they don't know what being a single mother is in africa. Na them go judge and tag them after one, tokunbo even without knowing the circumstance that led them to single motherhood. They would even go as far as discouraging their friends or brothers from marrying single mothers. Some landlords also discriminate against single mothers when it comes to renting their rooms out.

In as much as I am not and will never be a fan of intentional abortion, I can not judge the lady in this story cos I do not know what prompted her decision to abort. The fiance's family may have told her they dont want to have anything to do with her anymore (yes, some inlaws are that mean especially when they have more than enough grandchildren already). We don't know if she has parents who are ready to help her through it all. We don't even know if it was actually a miscarriage due to the shock of the fiance's death and Maybe poster just assumed she aborted it cos he stopped seeing the bulge.

alosiby92: SOM: which gehl has an IQ of a 5 year old?.....na wao....see bush meat....
by the way, I had no idea you did not like goat meat...or snail....or catfish....so you only chop beef?
Hehe...I wish my dad cooked veggie soup...we could go out the whole day and come back and dad is still waiting for us to make the soup he will eat with his paletshe(our version of Tuwo made with maize meal....its a starch and is eaten like pounded yam, fufu and all the heavy stuff)...but he's a pro when it comes to making the paletshe by himself...
Whenever I'm at home he also pulls the whole "alosiby, dont you want to help me wash my clothes.....iron my clothes....dish up for me...brush my shoes...." and all that...yet when I'm not around he's a pro at doing it by himself.....but my mum is the fun one too...she always has gist for days so we chat...but my dad also involves himself and we end up just all gossiping about just about everyone we know....parents sha....

Breathing: Sorry na....you make your school sound like....grin
but you have laptop abi? I still dont have one..I guess you could by the online version...
I'm really picky when it comes to food o. Reasom I don't gbadun all these peppersoup joints cos I don't take catfish\goatmeat\tinu eran peppersoup, lol. I don't take asun (spiced roasted goatmeat) either. I can only take beef or chicken peppersoup which is not really common in all these places.

My dad could be annoying seriously. If I'm are not home, he calls very often asking when I will come home. I get to that house and i'd be wondering if its this same man that kept calling me indirectly pleading with me to come home. Sigh

The low IQ babe I was referring to is kunbee. Girl's got mad issues. She sounds as if we diaryland chics are responsible for her issues. Why she can't deal with herself without involving us beats the hell outta me. Its either she has inferiority complex or she just wants to be noticed. The later is more of a possiblity though.

Bitches be hussling brothers everyday for everything from; Recharge cards to Cellphones to cars, house rents, lands, open up boutiques for them, shopping in Dubai, Private jet lounging, Yatch cruises, expensive vacations, money in the bank, etc.. This has been the case since the beginning of time. We men complain, but we keep it on the down low..

A Man gets some help from a woman, she opens a website and tells the world...

Whats the ratio of Guys who hussle women to girls who hussle guys?! Prolly like 500,000 : 1 (in just Abuja o!!)
Abegi, make we hear word.. Just use this forum as a case study. Men are the ones always guilty of whining about Nigerian women and gold digging. Even those that are broke-ass.es come here to rant about how naija girls ripped them of their imaginary money. Hardly would you come across a thread like this.

@Op , the men you just described here are not gold diggers by nigerian men standards, they are smart dudes. Only women can be tagged gold diggers.
CrimeRe: Nigerian Girl Molested & Buried Alive By Gang! by StateOfMind: 11:24am On Apr 22, 2013
justwise: Why are you so quick to draw that conclusion? What do you know about the case?
I tire o. These silly boys who have failed to identify their purpose in life just keep running their mouths without engaging their brains. All of them jumping into conclusion about a girl they know absolutely nothing about.

Let's even for one second assume she was a runz girl, does that justify what these beasts in men clothings did?

Some of them just talk as if they don't have sisters, female cousins, aunties , female friends, nieces.

dvdon: All I can say is; Girls be Wise.
Why not 'Boys, stop being beasts'

Whatever led that young lady into their den isn't our concern as the article did not state it. Our concern should be condemning this inhumane act. How can one carry out such evil act on a fellow human being? Even witches and murderers don't deserve this.

Some of you men here make me sick. Never responsible for your actions or condemning actions of your fellow men. It always has to be turned around for women to take the blame.

Are nigerian women tormenting nigerian men these days? Almost all the threads lately have been about different advice to women *phew* . Una no dey tire?

Don't you guys get tired of using this 'marriage line' as an insult to ladies. Its lame bro..grow up!
FamilyRe: Dealing With The Pressures From Married Men by StateOfMind: 8:35pm On Apr 21, 2013
As you can see, the men here are putting 100% blame on you for seeking online dating, flirting and trying to mingle with single ones. They think you should face your studies cos all through their own high school, they were saints, geeks, whose lives revolved around just their books and how to make it in life.

On nairaland these days, advice and contributions are majorly based on gender.

I wonder what the tone of this thread would have been if poster was a male who once had history of seeking for online love and later came to complain about married women disturbing him. I'm sure the whole energy would have been channelled to the married women, wondering what they are looking for in younger boys and why they cannot face their homes. Then, it wouldn't have been a taboo for OP visiting the dating and meet-up zone, at least he's male, he can mingle and engage in 'harmless' flirting.

Hohoho..

In as much as I have seen the poster spends too much time advertising herself on nairaland( jokingly or seriously, I really don't care), a responsible married man should not be interested in her 'market'..

If truly married men here have been disturbing her, then they take majority of the blame. They are older, and are the ones committed, they have wives, kid(s) and so there is no justification for patronizing her market when their wives' wares are not out of stock yet.

Tashamania, come back to this thread and names the married men o(that's if they actually exist). We are waiting.

I got an offer for MSc Biomedical Sciences. I'll be writing my toefl exams on the 27th of this month. The person went through just this same process and he got shortlisted. He's a first class student also. I really can't place a figure on the number of nigerians that get this scholarship but I do know its usually very competitive. Much focus should be on the personal statement which is giving me headache, I think it really gives one an edge.
