Khanben:They usually compensate for that through 3 pt shooting. But whenever it doesn't fall, or whenever their opponent matches them, it's going to be a struggle. Today they made 16, but Bucks made 18 in fewer attempts. There ain't no winning that. |
BRANDON INGRAM |
Man, Ja is something else. He's the closest thing to Kobe, no disrespect to Booker. |

And a giant caterpillar just ate Joe Biden's head. Now which one is more believable? |
Steph having the worst shooting season of his career. Another dreadful shooting night tonight going 5/24, 1/9 from 3. But we won't blame the ball, that ship has sailed.
|
BlueMann:We? I've never heard you refer to the Bulls as we. You waited till they were top of the Eastern Conference before you had confidence? ![]() |
Five in a row

birdman:LeBron's basketball ideology is different from that of MJ. MJ could have shot the ball and missed, just as LeBron passed and conceded a turnover. All na still failure. You don't get more props for shooting. |
Stephen A really came up on ESPN and said the Lakers are ranked 26th in defensive rating. Twice. And he and Tim Legler just spent several minutes talking about how bad the Lakers defense is. When I say these analysts don't watch these games I'm telling the truth. First of all, the Lakers are ranked 10th in defensive rating (5th in the past 15 games), which is a mile away from the 26th that Stephen A claimed. And if they've actually been watching these games, they'd clearly know that defense is the least of the Lakers' problems. I've actually seen some massive improvements in the past month or so. Chemistry is a bigger issue than defense. Heck, offense is a bigger issue than defense. Then talk about player availability, which has altimately led to the lack of chemistry. I can't count how many lineups the Lakers have used this season. They should be leading the NBA by far when it comes to lineups.

birdman:First of all, year 19 Secondly, that same move got us 6 straight points (2 threes) from Melo, so he had every right to try it a third time. They're overworking my grandpa. He didn't sign up for this sh*t in year 19 ![]() |
So the Saints nack Bucs 9-0. This one no follow o Zero TD pass from Tom, barely throwing over 200 yards. Saints no just like Tom Brady. Brees or no Brees. |
Tough loss tonight. I loved the effort though. And great to see Ariza back. |
birdman:Best Big in the league, when healthy ![]() |
AD out for 4 weeks at least. Damn. Had a feeling that crash was bad. |

The Lakers are finalizing a deal to sign Isaiah Thomas on a 10-day contract. We're short of guards right now. But can he defend though? |
Rookie Reeves saving the Lakers' old as*es. But this my team fit give person heart attack sha. |
Cringe

Stephen A. sounds like a clown making these Steph vs LeBron comparisons on First Take ![]() |
Some funny results tonight The NBA's gone crazy. I dey take side eye dey look this Grizzlies. Looks like they're legit. I wonder what would happen to Morant's minutes when he returns, because some of these fringe guys have proven that they deserve more minutes. I just hope Taylor Jenkins can find the right balance to ensure that this impressive run continues. |
NBA players of the week East: Domantas Sabonis West: LeBron James As expected. |
birdman:Add to the fact he's evolving his game. He's actually attempting more jumpers now than ever before. He's attempting 7.8 threes this season, which is his most ever. And he's still shooting over 50% from the field despite that. He's averaging more points this year than last year despite attempting just 4.6 free throws per game, the lowest of his career. His free throw is up to 76% from 69% last year. Steal is 1.8 versus 1.1 last year. Block is 0.9 vs 0.6. Just keeps getting better. |
The Lakers are currently ranked 11th in defensive rating, and they rank 5th in the last 10 games. Not where we want to be but it's a huge step up from where we were 2 weeks ago. This is slowly resembling a Vogel team. And it's no surprise that it's coincided with the return of LeBron. A defensively good Lakers team would be a nightmare for the entire league because offensively we're not bad either. In fact only Hornets have scored more total points than the Lakers this season. And that's with LeBron missing almost half the games. I like where we're heading.
|
birdman:Lol. Makes me wonder when this man would retire though. A 37-year old man still playing like he's 28. Man, we've never seen anything like this |

This my LeBron no wan old o |
This Embiid na big bully sha. But that's the key to beating this Warriors...bombard the interior, defend the perimeter. No go dey try out-three them. Steph's shooting woes continues. 3/14 from beyond the arc. 6/20 overall. The Warriors were 12/48 from three (25%). Live by the three, die by the three. You gotta have a plan B when that shiit ain't working. |
Suns dey worry o. See how they made light work of the Celtics without Booker and Ayton. JaVale getting 21 and 15. That's the CP3 effect...making his teammates better. This west is no joke. See what the Grizzlies are doing without Ja. See how the sorry Rockets just took the defending champions down to the wire. The T. Wolves were doing well before injuries set in. Some strong teams will miss out on this playoffs. I pray it's not my Lakers sha My mind is telling me Blazers ![]() |
birdman:Jesus Christi. This guy go send me to the gods of mathematics. I'll mind my business from now on ![]() Meanwhile, the Rockets seem to be holding their own against the Bucks. E be like say this firm dey legit o. Make we begin take Una serious ![]() |
Someone called lordbeans is asking me why I come here only when Lakers win. And he replied to a post I posted after the Lakers lost. Who be this lordbeand sef? Person wey dey enter here once in two months. Buffoon like you. |
lordbeans:I'll come here anytime I choose. Come and beat me. Ode |
