Why's everybody trying their utmost best to avoid the Lakers in the first round na? cheesy The Nuggets are getting blown out by Portland and the Jazz blowing out the Kings. The Clippers lost to the freaking Thunder the other night. We're not even that good this year grin Plus LeBron is old and both he and AD are coming off of injuries. This is the best time to play the Lakers. I don't know what everybody is just doing. grin

The Wizards about to take 8th place from the Hornets tomorrow (they're both 33-38 and they play each other tomorrow). Then beat the Celtics in the play-in to win 7th position. Wizards vs Nets 1st round matchup. Brodie vs KD
As expected, Wizards beat Hornets to take the 8th spot. They'll play Celtics in the 7th/8th play-in game and probably win. Nets vs Wizards 1st round it is. The basketball gods are good to us.

The Clippers are wise. Very wise. They don't want that Lakers smoke in the first round. grin
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:10am On May 05, 2021
So Giannis twice prevailed against your Ojuelegba slim reaper and all of a sudden the thread is quiet grin. The Nets don't want this matchup in the playoffs, they truly don't. And Giannis didn't even guard him until crunch time, especially in the first game. And each time KD tried to guard him we saw how useless it was.

And don't tell me Harden didn't play, because Harden wouldn't have prevented Giannis from averaging 43 in the two games. Even playing Harden would mean reduced minutes for Blake and Jordan, the two guys they constantly threw at Giannis.

We go dey here dey watch cheesy

At this point, Jokic is surely the MVP. I've seen enough. You lose your sidekick to injury and what follows is you leading your team on a 9-1 run. Naah, give that man his MVP.

Mystery indeed, mentioning Curry's name is now a mystery, but you can mention CP3 and Harden. The hate is indeed deep. So he for mention Draymond name. GSW taking a 3-1 lead in the first place is a slap to Lebron and his team mates, shey them dey sleep ni. Now Lebron and his team mates coming back to win is great, but we will never forget the magomago involved in that series.
But as you say mentioning Curry is a Mystery really Shock me o. The guy is a Legend already but you say mentioning his name is mystery. Baba calm down now.

Don't mind them. Less FG%, less 3P%, less FT% and has played 121 more games than Curry and has 3882 more points than Curry. For context, Curry's is 24 ppg career wise. At 24*121, Curry would have reduced the deficit to 978 points. If we decide to factor that Curry missed close to 55% of those 121 games during his prime (last season for e.g) then we can safely do 28*121 which will reduce that deficit to 494 points. James Harden technically has scored only 494 more points than Curry who played with KD and Klay Thompson who are offensive juggernauts (meaning he shared offensive load). This is the Harden they want you to believe is by far better than Curry offensively? lol

Before Durant, did or didn't curry win a championship?

Where was Chris Paul and his lob city? They had 3 good players in their prime on that team same with GSW. So what happened?

What is dislike is when people discredit a player's greatness just because they don't like him. You and many others on this thread are quick to discredit everything curry does.

You even said curry is never as good an offensive player as harden. Haba?

I may not truly like Lebron but I will never discredit his accomplishments because of that. Dude is an all time great and the greatest small forward of all time (to me). But when I mention curry, your BP starts to rise unnecessarily. Why, because he beat Lebron in the finals 3 times. I know it's a tough but to swallow but Oga, it is what it is
Where is the lie there? Harden is a better offensive player than Curry. And there's no shame in that.

Lol. Maybe you yourself don't discredit LeBron, but don't act like there aren't people on this thread who do it for fun.

Lol. Why will my bp rise because of Curry? cheesy All I want him to do is to lead a team to comparable success all by himself, just like the King did, then we can consider putting him in the same sentence with LeBron.

So who exactly beat LeBron? Is it Curry or KD? Because in my mind KD has 2 FMVPs and Curry has zero. You can't eat your cake and have it. When LeBron had the full complement of his team Curry shamefully surrendered a 3-1 lead and lost to LeBron. That you're even mentioning Curry's name at all is a mystery to me. grin

So yesterday, Curry went off as usual for 27 pts, on 50% shooting, including 5 3s shocked. Killer stats, yeah? Guess how many assists the "PG" had? 2. And they lost by 30+. At one point Mavs went on a 25-0 run!

shey u now understand why playoff rings doesnt mean best player. Barkley has 0, but Draymond has 3. Robert Horry has like 8 lol. Even Steve Kerr get ring and Gary Payton no get ring. Tmac no even smell WCF. Beal will likely never get one either. Such is life boss.

Because he was doing it with approximately 15+ free throws and suspect foul calls from the ref.

Curry doesn't get as much calls as harden. Curry is a better shooter and offensive player and most media guys know it.

Make una yarn another thing abeg
11 free throws, don't assume. But who cares how many free throws he makes? Embiid makes a lot of free throws too.

Curry is not a better offensive player than Harden. Never has been, never will be.

Russell Westbrook. That's the name.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m):
When James Harden was lighting up the league in 18/19 nobody was shouting MVP (except me of course, my receipts are here smiley). Man literally went 32 games scoring at least 30, averaging 41 in the process. But here we are with Curry going on an 11-game streak scoring 30 and his shameless fanboys are screaming MVP. Not to even add to the fact that he's languishing in 9th position. In 18/19 Harden finished 4th with a record if 53-29, just 4 games behind 1st placed Warriors.

That was the biggest robbery in the history of this game. Las las this game na about love and hate. Harden isn't as loved as Curry. If it were Curry that had those numbers in 18/19 he's winning the MVP straight up. Fans don't like Harden, and that's just the plain truth.

They won't. But at this time these clubs don't really give a hoot about FIFA or UEFA. This is a mutiny, a deserting of some sorts. And they have the upper hand because these are the biggest clubs in the world. They are/were the ones making UEFA what it actually is/was. Right now UEFA and FIFA should be the ones on their knees begging for a dialogue, not issuing threats.

Person wey no get sense, So happy for drummond honestly.... he cooked lamarcus All night. Dude plays it old school. Lakers team is deeper than people imagine, adding macklemore that's a straight up shooter ticks all the boxes. Come playoffs i still see this nets team having issues. Who'll be the closer, who'll take the last shot when the game's on the line? Twud most likely be between kd n kyrie cos harden na choker no be today, Lets see though. But if the Lakers are ay full strength omo i don't see any team stopping them.
The health of the Lakers might be an issue, even though I think KD, Kyrie and Harden are just too much firepower for anyone. I fear that AD's achilles is something like what KD suffered in 2019 and so I don't think he'll be 100% in the playoffs. I've already given this championship to Brooklyn.

Sometimes you say some foolish things. It is okay to be a LeBron fan and still say sensible things from a basketball point of view. KD can only score...he can't defend right?
Lol. You said all these things only to bring up defense? grin I thought you were going to mention rebounding, playmaking, passing and all the rest cheesy.

KD's defense is just as good as any average player's defense out there. We know the great defenders in this league. We know guys that have at least 2 very good attributes. Harden is a great scorer and also a great playmaker. KD's defense can't even be mentioned in the same sentence with Harden's playmaking in terms of second best attribute. Or LeBron's floor control/passing, or Giannis' defense. All these are their second best attributes.

E say na defense grin Someone that has not made one single all-defense team in his entire career. Go sleep my friend
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 1:49am On Apr 03, 2021
I've said it that the only thing KD knows how to do is score. Yet blind fans want to put him in the same sentence with LeBron all the time. His value to a team is once again being questioned by the amazing run the Nets are having without him, just like it was questioned when he went to a Warriors team that didn't need him.

Stephen A sometimes though. So you castigate Westbrook for trying as hard as he can to lead a team to win a championship, but you somehow go soft on KD for joining a 73 win team with the reigning MVP, talmbout he went there and still was their best player, talmbout he still elevated them. Ni*ga if Westbrook went to join the Warriors he still would have elevated them. But he didn't, if not he would have gotten an easy ring by now. It's still this same Stephen A who's bashing Blake Griffin and Aldridge for joining KD and Kyrie after falling short of leading their former teams to championships. Such hypocrisy.

It's nigh on impossible for them not to win. I mean, look at the firepower. Look at the form they're in even without KD and Kyrie in and out of the team. Aldridge was the decider. Imagine having 5 guys that can give you 25 on any given night.
