birdman:Baba, I couldn't miss this glorious moment ![]() |
benji93:I said I'll be back in the finals, but that's because I thought the Nets would be there. |
Kilishihunter:Without Kawhi, I'll take my chances. |
One down. Now let's focus all our energy on the Clippers. |
Good night. What a fitting way to end the series...with an air ball ![]() |
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
It was always going to be a tall order for LeBron to overcome the second best team in the league. A 36 year old man in his 18th season who is still nursing an ankle injury, without his sidekick and playing with bums who can't shoot. LeBron will be free of all slander. Anyone who wants to slander obviously just wants to troll And trolling is part of the game so go ahead ![]() At least my guy didn't lose in the finals, because it seems losing in the finals is more detrimental to a legacy than losing in the first round So legacy secured. Off we go to Cancun. After having the shortest postseason of any team in history last year, we can now have what looks like a very long postseason this year. Meanwhile, make I go through last years championship photos to keep me busy. Our time never elapse yet, we still be the champions ![]() P S. No need to reply me o, I'm going off until the last game of the finals. See ya ![]() |
So the Clippers have woken up finally. I think the fear of getting embarrassed was what woke them up rather than the fear of not winning a championship . At this point I see no hope for Dallas; the momentum has swung in the Clips direction. |
benji93:I dey fear you? |
birdman:Norman normal. But I don't think we lost this game because of AD's absence. Although him going down put a dent on their spirit. There's always this despondence that comes when one of your best players gets injured in a game. By the time they realised they were actually not that bad without AD it was already too late. We'll start game 5 without him and I believe we'll be better prepared. |
joshboo:Not saying he'll play more minutes than Blake though. He'll get good minutes is all I'm saying. |
The refs don't want to call fouls for the Lakers today. Nice job CP ![]() |
joshboo:I'm very sure we'll see plenty of DeAndre Jordan in that series, because they still have to worry about Lopez. And KD doesn't want that Giannis smoke. |
Bring on the Nets. That's a matchup made in heaven. Looks like the Bucks are gonna have at least 5 days before they play game 1 of the semis. Vital rest if you ask me. Crucial for the healing of those niggles and bumps. |
I haven't seen that much iso ball in one quarter than I saw in the Nets/Celtics game. Good game though. But the Nets gotta be concerned. Maybe not about the Celtics but in the coming rounds. If you can't win a game when your three stars combined for almost 100 points then that's a worry. The role players contributed almost nothing because it was all iso ball. Onto game 4. Should be fun. |
DiVincenzo out for the remainder of the playoffs. Huge blow for the Bucks |
birdman:He wanted to eliminate Schroder because he's been giving him some nice D two games running ![]() |
Kuzma won't kill us with all these bricks ![]() |
Some people's team are not even in the playoffs. Some others, their team is about to get swept in the first round. But somehow na them get mouth pass for here. I never see this kind thing before o ![]() And meanwhile someone is saying it's his team that pursued LeBron out of Cleveland to South Beach . That very team has won one championship in 13 years. LeBron on the other hand has gone on to win 4 with three different franchises. That team would go extinct if something is not done soon ![]() |
benji93:Was this supposed to make me angry? I'd love to know so I can play along ![]() |
Thanos:Ah, lemme brace myself for a Bucks/Mavs finals ![]() |
joshboo:Apart from having two "superstars", that's just the difference between them and the Warriors for instance. While the Lakers went for veterans and gave them the vet minimum, the Warriors went for rookies and sophomores, basicallyyounger bloods who have lots of energy and upside. Now it has backfired. How can you fill your roster with youngins without one or two veterans who can give moral or on the court support when the chips are down. Every sensible team does that. From Dudley to Gasol to DAJ to Haslem to Javale to Dwight to Rondo to Rose. Every team needs those types of players, whether they're playing or not. |
SmooshCHN:When LeBron was carrying bum teams to the finals people like you thought it was an ordinary feat. Shebi Curry nyash don open now ![]() |
Abeg, who are those here that don't watch the games? Indicate so we can be sharing link with you. I don't want anyone missing out on this playoffs. . And I don't want you watching highlights and gifs and box scores. Abeg o. Indicate. |
Looking at the thread and there's no post about how Drummund can't fit with this team and how no one wanted to take him off the Cavs. There's no post about how LeBron is a bum and relies on others to get to the final before turning it up just so he can win finals MVP. There's no post about AD's weak mentality and how he lacks that killer instinct. Lakers, I thank you o. Thank you for saving me this shame ![]() |
3pt shooting this season: Kent Bazemore: 40.8% Tuscano-Anderson: 40.2% Mychal Murder: 39.7% Damion Lee: 39.7% Andrew Wiggins: 38.0% Nico Manion: 36.7% Jordan Poole: 35.1% E. Paschal: 33.3% Add to that one MVP candidate and scoring champion. One DPOY candidate and elite playmaker. Hall of fame coach. G-League indeed. Plus this team were 5th in defensive efficiency. These guys might not be household names but they can ball. So no matter how you want to paint it, this team was supposed to be in the playoffs causing havoc. Let's call it what it is: Curry choked. |
The Bucks seem to be on a mission this year. If they can steal one game in Miami then it's an early wrap. None of that bubble sh*t for Miami this year. I'm looking forward to that Bucks/Nets matchup. Portland don't know what hit them tonight. They have the upper hand though because they're going back to Portland now. I see them winning in 6 but they should watch out. |
birdman:The Jazz are beatable. At least teams know what they're going to do, which is shoot a lot of threes. If you can match them 3 for 3 then you have a chance. And having a guy like Valancuinis that can drag Gobert out of the paint is valuable. |
birdman:Yea, they seem a well-rounded team. But if the Lakers can just turn it up one or two notches it could turn into a fairly easy series. We need to play like we're in the playoffs already. |
Lol. So many conclusions after just one game. Na so e dey do you? |
My analysis of the game. This game had "blowout" written all over it. We attempted 10 fewer shots than Phoenix. We shot the ball poorly and weren't aggressive LeBron attempted only 13 shots. For comparison, Booker attempted 26. LeBron and AD combined to shoot 38% from the field. And we couldn't take advantage from the free throw line. We literally could have won the game from there. We missed a whooping 11 free throws, shooting just 60%. Plus Booker and Ayton had the games of their lives. And yet we lost by only 9. That's the reason I'm optimistic moving forward. I'd be more worried if we shot and played well and lost. There's ample room for improvement. At times it looked like we could claw our way back into the game, but poor decisions at crucial moments cost us. This game has last year Portland game 1 written all over it. It's a long series. Many things for Vogel and LeBron to work out. We'll watch films and adjust. We might have to use Gasol in this series to drag Ayton out of that paint. I change my mind. Lakers in 5. |
joshboo:The thread complete bro. No absentee ![]() |
