3 years ago, folks were already calling Giannis the next Lebron. Then it was supposed to be Kawhi. Then Durant. Tomorrow someone will say its Luka . See, its one thing to be able to drop 40. Its another thing to drop 40 when the defense is designed to stop YOU. And its another thing to will your team to a win with defense, steals, rebounding and bball IQ when your shot isnt falling.

That is why after MJ, it was Kobe, then Lebron. No one else has fulfilled this criteria of current best player among current superstars. @steady386, Kobe had several terrible playoff nights too, so cut Booker some slack. If he was being compared to Kobe it's definitely not with respect to his defense. . Nash should have found a way to steal a few minutes rest for Durant.

Even 3 minute total rest spread through the game would have helped him down the stretch.

The way Nets loaded up, no team has loaded up like this since the big 4 on Lakers. Even that was not this bad. It was obscene, and I hope they dont load up some more next year. If the big 3 on the nets had been healthy, it would have made the playoffs meaningless and boring.
