I want to believe that the Clippers can scale through even when my mind tells me that this team is not to be believed. This is the last year I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. My patience is running dry.

Injuries plagued the Warriors all season hence they had to get players from G-league. What you fail to understand is that even when you are committed to being a troll, you still need to have basic knowledge about basketball so people don't think you just copy and paste from twitter. grin
This one na okpata you dey yarn o grin

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin angry grin grin grin. They'll blame harden, LeBron, Kyrie, Giannis and every other except Curry, Deluded Fanboys.
They didn't even give LeBron a pass when he injured his groin in 2018. grin So we won't rest today.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:52am On May 22, 2021
If they had to draft "7" players from the G-league to play with Curry then blame your GM for getting it wrong with the salaries. You have Steph on 42m, Wiggins on 30m, Dray on 25m. Of course the rest of the roster would be sh*t.

And I don't need to bring out the ones Bron took to the finals in 2007 and 2018.

Guy, let's just not talk. Someone will come and tell us how Wiggins is a star because he was drafted 1st overall.
He choked that's what it is. He's good.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:05am On May 22, 2021
Now watch how the talking point on all sports shows in the coming days would be: "did Adam Silver get it right with the play-in? Is it a bad idea?" Instead of praising Ja Morant for willing his team past the Warriors.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:54am On May 22, 2021
The name is JA MORANT. Say his name cool
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:43am On May 21, 2021
So Steph Curry and Draymond Green are finalists for MVP and DPOY respectively. Damn. I wish my team had such luxury.

Honestly though. We've heard over a million times how Harden choked against Curry

Curry was a one man wrecking crew yesterday. On any given Sunday, Curry on any team will beat anybody. Lebron was really rusty yesterday. But he also showed up when it mattered. That clutch 3 reminds me of the AD's clutch 3 in the playoffs last year. This game was a confidence builder for Lakers. For warriors role players too.

I think any open minded bball fan can watch yesterdays game and give props to both teams. the game lived up to its billing. I dont understand all this wanking over lebron or seeding, blah blah blah.
If that was a game 1 of a series, that was the type of game the Lakers would have lost and be looking to bounce back in game 2. We were there for the taking. Bron and AD shot badly, plus stellar D from Wiggins and Dray. Even Looney had 13 rebounds in 20 mins. The Warriors wanted that game more than the Lakers, but somehow LeBron showed up when it mattered.

no doubt! they took a while to gel, but if you look at their record in the last half of the year, memphis should be really worried playing these guys. As should the Jazz. Curry is for real, and Wiggins is starting to do what people thought he could do. I know some unfortunate haters will try to twist what I just wrote, thinking Im trying to make the lakers win last night look legit. Ol boy cam down grin
The facts are just the facts. Wiggins was drafted 1st place for a reason. Some thought he was trash because he was playing losing basketball in a lottery team. That's the same way they fail to give guys like Towns and Beal their respect. Give those guys a reason to play for and you'll see what they're made of.

Memphis should be a cakewalk. The Jazz series would be an interesting one to watch. They can match the Warriors in 3pt shooting. They have some good interior D too. It might come down to who wants it the most.

The warriors are a difficult team for anyone to handle in one game. They can beat anyone in 1 game including the Nets / Lakers/clippers etc. In a serie though, I think the Jazz may have the upperhand.
They could have the upper hand quite alright, but when you go into a series with by far the best player in the series then you have a good shot. Beating teams like the Jazz that succeed by committee is much more easier than beating teams with 2 or 3 clear superstars. Especially when they face a very good defence like that of GS.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:41am On May 20, 2021
I just found out that Toscano-Anderson was the Mexican league MVP is 2018. Omo, that guy dey ball abeg. I knew there was something about that guy.

SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:11am On May 20, 2021
Anyway, I see the Jazz/Warriors going 7 games. Who will win I don't know. If D Mitch isn't playing then it's a no-brainer.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:34am On May 20, 2021
An average team cannot be 5th in defensive ratings. It's impossible. I see the Warriors as the Knicks. Not a lot of big name but guys who really know how to ball on both ends of the floor. The Knicks are not even as talented as the Warriors and yet they're 4th. Steph and Wiggins combined for 50 points per game this season. Bron and AD combined for 47. Wiggins is likely to make an all defensive team this year. Same with Draymond. So y'all can deny the facts all you want, but the Warriors are far above average.

SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:09am On May 20, 2021
You can say what you want about Steph's supporting cast but the Warriors weren't 5th in defensive rating for nothing. You could clearly see why. See the work Wiggins did on LeBron. Add that to the fact that he can drop 20 a night. See what Dray did on AD. Then what about the other 3 and D guys you have? Toscano-Anderson, Bazemore, Mulder. Those guys will knock down shots if you give them the ball. That is a good team and they actually have a shot against the Jazz.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:03am On May 20, 2021
Lol. People are here talking about the Draymond Charge call but somehow won't talk about about his non flagrant call on LeBron. Abegi.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:53am On May 20, 2021
Nice game though. I said it here that right now is the best time for anybody to beat the Lakers, not in two or three weeks time. LeBron is obviously still struggling from that ankle injury. Not to talk of AD missing 30+ games through injury. Schroder just returned from COVID. Chemistry is still an issue.

By and large, LeBron came up clutch once more. That's why he's a big game player. Showing up when it matters. Steph last scored a field goal at the 3:08 mark. He made just 2 free throws from that point till the end of the game. That has been the difference between LeBron and Steph throughout their careers and that's why one is the GOAT and the other is a phoney.

@steady986, can you give Curry some accolades, please? grin
For taking that decent team to the 8th place? One game above Ja Morant? Your team is 5th in defensive efficiency o, and it's not because of Curry. I've seen guys not nearly as talented as him do better with less help.
