Dude, you have made at least fifty contradictory statements within the past hour alone. You consistent? One second you claim with your heart on your sleeve that the clippers will win, the next you're scared they'll lose to a team worse than the Lakers. Have I ever strayed from my position? Inability to stick to one side of an argument is the epitome of b-tch a-s niggary. And you are the apotheosis of b-tch a-s niggas. You liked your odds but was too chicken sh-t to take a "risky" bet that wasn't even risky at all. What did you have to lose? You just keep proving my point, everyone can see you for the village idiot you are.
Lol. The way that guy brings incomplete assertions. At least he was sensible enough to remove the first paragraph because he knew it was contradictory. I dropped a photo of the complete statement he made; he was comparing this Kawhi's team to Steph Curry's in 2016 when LeBron won, saying there was no way LeBron would win against a Kawhi-led team because of the weight difference. Lol

Now its "rival banter". Now it's rival banter, but as some point this clown was willing to bet his lifesavings on the Lakers not winning the championship. That too was "rival banter" huh? FOH You duplicitous sh-t!
He forgot that he concluded, after the opener against the Clippers, that father time had caught up with LeBron. So how on earth was a washed up LeBron going to lead the Lakers to a championship?

That has always been the Danny Green experience. The good news is he does better as a series progresses and I expect a big game from him today. But sadly you're right, while he plays good defense most times he just doesn't seem to be worth the headache at 15m. If only they can package him along with Kuzma and a few picks for a proper third option who can get his own shot. I know Beal is a pipe dream but anyone in his ilk will do. Perhaps a Brogdon or Oladipo. Dion just doesn't seem like he will fulfill his potential. I would also like to see them get a ruthless sniper. All or shooters are wildly Inconsistent. KCP is the only one who has cemented his place in this team so far IMO. Markieff has also been great, I hope they get him back next year.

BTW I saw a rumor about Westbrook to LA and uhhh.... No thanks! cheesy
Not going to work. I wouldn't trade Avery Bradley for him, and we can't have him and Rondo in the same team. Except he can accept to take peanuts in exchange for assurance of a ring grin

As for Green, getting him off the roster will be a great thing for us. With 15m you can get a very good third option that can give you 18 off the bench. I don't know how possible it would be to get Zach LaVine from the Bulls. I really love what that dude is doing.

The Lakers in the postseason are 10-0 when they shoot over 30 percent from deep. For reference, they shot 23 percent in game 3, the worst since their historically poor shooting night against the Blazers in Game 1. The Nuggets about to go 3-1 down and this time around, it's the end of the road.

Your only hope to beat this Lakers team is to hope they have a poor shooting night from 3. I expect the 3 point shooting to be addressed in the off season. We need a three peat.
Green needs to go. Highly inconsistent.

The Lakers have presented a complaint to the league about how they are officiating LeBron. Great news! He's easily the most disrespected superstar in the league when it comes to getting calls. Mans getting the Shaq treatment.
I need to have a word with the league. It's been going on since the beginning of the season.

Lakers vs Blazers game 1: Dame hit a 3 in the clutch to give the Blazers breathing space, then he danced on his way back. That was the last game they won.

Lakers vs Rockets game 1: Russ hit a 3 in the clutch to give the Rockets breathing space, then he started beating his chest and shouting. That was the last game they won.

Lakers vs Nuggets game 3: Murray hit a 3 in the clutch to give the Nuggets breathing space, then he danced on his way back. Should I break it to him? grin

Lol. It's Lakers in 4 until it isn't. grin
We were sleepwalking through the games? Really? That is the narrative now? I hope when we dismantle the Nuggets in the next 2 games you won't change the narrative and say the Nuggets weren't a match cheesy
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:33am On Sep 23, 2020
WeissVonner:
Oh you didn't know they had 3 number 1 picks when you made all those tragic predictions about them? What happened to they were out matched in the West and that the Clippers were going to smash them? What happened to AD is an underachieving choker with no heart and is made of glass? didn't you at some point claim he was being tricked by LeBron who is going to ruin him? What happened to LeBron is washed and will never win another Championship again?

Now all that has turned into "they have three number 1 picks, of course they should win", and I'm the one with no shame? If the Nuggets are so bad how did the team you lot dubbed "second coming of the 96 bulls" blow a 3-1 lead to them? Lmao! Just admit you are a Bron hater who throws all rationality out the window when it comes to him, carry your L in peace and move on. After all the sh-t talking you did you are the last person to say anything now.
They have a lot of narratives. When the Clippers lose from 3-1 up to the Nuggets it's "the Nuggets are a very strong team and we should give them credit." When the Nuggets lose 2 straight games against the Lakers it's "The Nuggets have no chance against the stacked Lakers and the Lakers should have no excuse for not winning". When the Nuggets win one game against the Lakers it's " I told you all that these teams are more evenly matched than you think. The series is going to be long." Just watch, when the Lakers win them in 5 it will change to "Did we really think the Nuggets stood a chance against the Lakers?" grin

Yeah. cheesy. But honestly, if you can maximize your strengths, there's no way you lose in seven. That's the beauty of the NBA, the better team almost always wins. cheesy
I have no doubt one bit that we're taking this series. It took a combination of us getting thoroughly out-rebounded, us shooting abysmally from beyond the arc and Jerami Grant scoring his playoff career high for them to win. And it still was close at the he end. It would take similar occurrences for us to lose again and I don't see it happening. We won't make only 6 shots from 3 again, we won't get out-rebounded by 19 again, and Grant sure as hell ain't scoring 26 points on us again.

Lakers in 5
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:09am On Sep 23, 2020
WeissVonner:
Ever since Murray and Malone started crying about the refs they've been out for blood. LeBron has shot fewer free throws throughout this series than Jerami Grant shot in Game 3. They kept them close with some funny fouls especially on dwight in game 2 and they missed some blatant calls yesterday. I guess the league doesn't want this to be a short series especially after the ratings disaster in game 2 going up against SNF.

No biggie, LeBron is not Kawhi, the Lakers are not the Clippers. Lakers in 5 has always been the objective outcome, don't see any reason to change it.
Now take a look at that

Lol. I wouldn't have brought up ref issues if someone here didn't bring it up in the first place, talking about we won game one because the refs gift wrapped us the win
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:53am On Sep 23, 2020
It's clear that the refs have been on the side of the Nuggets these last 2 games if we wanna talk about refereeing. You can tell by the free throw discrepancies in the last 2 games. Clear shooting fouls turning into sideline inbounds. Body bump on Kuzma's made 3 that didn't result in an and-1. But we good though.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:49am On Sep 23, 2020
We'll look back at that missed open 3 by KCP to tie the game 101-101 and say that was our moment right there. This game had all the makings of a blowout, I'm surprised it was close at the end. The Nuggets out-rebounded the Lakers 44-25. 25 rebounds by the Lakers? That should be our lowest by a mile this season. AD ended the game with 2 rebounds. We made 6 3-pointers. Game one of Houston and Portland all over again.

On to game 4. I'm still very optimistic. Lakers in 5

Rob Parker hates LeBron so much, damn grin Watched him on The Odd Couple today and each time Broussard talked about LeBron in glowing terms his face went sour. Kuz is gone next season, being in Beal or even Dinwiddie is a better option, he manages to have turnovers either off his legs or can’t catch the ball.
Not sure there's enough cap for Beal, and bringing him would mean dismantling the roster

Next year the Lakers will have time to properly fill their roster. Not going to wait on someone like this year till all the good players are gone. Imagine how good this team would be if they got Seth Curry, Covington, D.Rose, Kyle Korver? They even had a chance to get D’lo or Butler.

Kawhi really bleeped with the Lakers’ plans for the season but still got sucker-punched in the end. I guess the basketball gods are not sleeping after all.
I wouldn't mention Kyle Korver as someone that can improve this team. At 39 that guy is an ancestor already. We brought a similar guy in J.R and we've used him only sparingly. D. Rose has a history of injuries. Seth would have been great. I think the delay by Kawhi was a blessing in disguise if you asked me, because we somehow managed to fill the holes in the team. We brought in guys who have been tested in this league and wanted to prove to people that they still had something to offer. Win or lose, there's not much that needs to change in the team. Everybody knows their role. The only downside is that we thought Kuz was that guy who was going to give you 18 off the bench. Perhaps we should have kept Ingram instead.

Did anyone else see Rondo after the buzzer beater by AD? That guy is a psychopath and he needs to be placed on the national security watch list.

While the whole team was ecstatic, this guy just walked off the court without breaking a stride like nothing happened. He didn’t even shake hands with the refs or whatever huh huh
He's toiling with the Nuggets mentally. He showed them, right in front of their bench, that he was pissed because the game shouldn't have been close in the first place.

This Denver team can come back quite alright, but the Lakers just showed they're not the Clippers by winning still. They held their own and made shots when it mattered. Yesterday was just one of the days where not much worked for the Lakers. LeBron was not getting love from the refs, Green shot terribly (I wonder why Green should be taking 14 shots in a game of basketball, and he missed 10 of them), and Markief didn't play much and didn't attempt a single shot, after he was hot the last game. I don't know why Vogel and the players didn't draw plays for him especially when they knew Green was wasteful. I've studied the matchups of this series and I'll say this, the only way the Lakers can lose a game to the Nuggets is if they shoot themselves on the foot.

Lakers in 4 cool
