Greatzeus:
All your post are about help me this, help me that. June 4 you started a business, posting pictures of fruits from 3 different locations,June 6 your house did whatever? Keep deceiving yourself and those who lack simple initiatives.
No wonder scammers are having a field day on nairaland, many here have cognitive impairment. I saw a thread of a grown ass man who got duped by investing in money doubling scheme,he even as the gits to create a thread about it, seeking pity.
If you read this post and didn't see the inherent intention of deception and fraud then I pity the education system you passed through. The funny thing is those who are usually very easy to believe scam stories don't always have money to give because they're broke, mostly beggers themselves,so they're compassionate to their fellow tradesmen grin
Those who are very comfortable or rich are hard to swindle by fake stories because they know the value of a single naira. That's the difference between those who are broke and those who are not.
This is not the end. Op is cooking up another story for the gullible nairalanders, wait for it.
embarassed embarassed embarassed It is better to keep quiet rather than tagging someone post as a scammer. Not everyone was born with a silver or golden spoon lipsrsealed, I personally went through her facebook profile based on the info she gave on this thread and I really felt pity for the young, ambitious but happy, hardworking Lady cry. She lost her mum at a very young age, she is married to a man with disability who does little to nothing for income, she completed her personal building in 2019 all by herself just to create comfort for her kids and husband, she works as a private school teacher but has not been paid due to the lockdown, the house collapsed due to heavy rain ... Now pray to be in her condition and guess if you won't do worst than that!! tongue Nobody prays to be an online beggar but we can't blame God because we always have a story to tell the next generation when we come out stronger and better cool

Yea, the course is for people who didn't study in their undergraduates.
@Stenon
I have my TRCN already.

Is it compulsory to get a letter of introduction or study leave from employer because of my study gap when applying for visa?
I don't think it will be necessary but it worth getting one.

Good morning everyone, just joining this platform and appreciate everyone's effort to making the thread lively and educative.

I have Bsc Education( Economics) and have been teaching for 11years in a government school.
I have been offered admission to study MSc psychology conversion Or MA Education at Nottingham Trent and Sheffield hallam. 1. Now I don't really know the one to request a cas for considering that both are beneficial to my profession as a teacher.
Please Stenon and other guru's in the house should please comment which of the 2courses will benefit my teaching career more if I considering to stay back in Uk thru the tier 2 visa after studies.
2. When applying for visa do I have to get a study leave attached to my visa application.
3. Can I get teaching job with my Economics background in the Uk?
I don't really understand what that course is all about, is it same thing as MSc Psychology or the conversion added to it makes it different ? If you check your school website very well they always mention something like ... Graduating with this MA Education won't qualify you for QTS.

Since you have long years of teaching experience and have a degree in Economics Education, please try and get your TRCN before leaving Nigeria and another Masters degree in Economics won't be bad as that is an opportunity for you to know some of the economics terms in this country. Our curriculum is quite similar but more advanced than what we teach at secondary school level in Nigeria.

STENON:
Its called PVG Diclosure in Scotland. Your school will send the form to your home address in Nigeria so you must have a valid address in Nigeria as most of the forms always get lost on the way.
I remembered 2 were sent to my friend in Nigeria but none gt to his address in Nigeria.
You have to fill the form and enter the address of where you have lived for @ least 5 years, You will also need to enter your bank details in the form and thereafter post it back to your school, who will now send to the DBS office. It takes minimum of 3 weeks to get a response and the letter will be posted back to your address in Nigeria and also a copy to your school.

Better to ask someone in UK to collect the form for you and you must be ready to pay the person too.

I actually did for a friend but not advicesable to do for someone you don't really know or trust.
@ Yemsot FYI. it's called PVG in Scotland, but DBS in England. I think both should be the same processing , but try and read more information about it online, or try and ask your school more questions about it.

I think some people are confusing conditional offer with unconditional offer.

If the uni request you to pay a fee or submit any document before issuing you a CAS that’s conditional offer.

An unconditional offer wouldn’t request you to do anything.

@ op, you are not the first neither are you going to be the last. My family friend was also affected some years back , he has graduated from the other course, finished NYSC, currently running his MSc and he is living a happy life.

First go back home, create a happy atmosphere and then break the news to both of them, expect them to cry and wail at you, but they will definitely comfort and support you. Be sure you get all the happiness and joy from home before returning back to school. Remove all medical textbooks or lecture resources that will remind you about the past. Be happy and joyful for your next course.

Since you have the option of changing to another department, Please do so as soon as possible. Forget about the stigma and shame. Pick up your life and start with the new course. If possible change to a course that you are very much convinced you can always pass easily. Don't go for any difficult course again... come back after 3 years to invite us for your graduation. Wishing you success bro wink

Thanks for the update, so you will not be getting refund from the previous place of work?
Yes, I won't get any refund from the previous place of work. According to HMRC the tax paid by the previous employer was removed from the total income tax I am owning for 2019-2020. Assuming my new employer has paid the income tax for me, I should have been eligible for a refund from previous employer but without any debt.

Where did you read that from?

There is nothing like Scottish or Welsh students. When applying, you don’t even have a Scotland or Wales or England or Northern Ireland option. You have United Kingdom.
How then can ‘English’ unis receive instructions? From who?

This is fake information
very true. I actually read the news about 2-3days ago.

My first employer at the care home paid it for me but I didn't get it at the end of the financial year despite my tier 4 student visa. My current employer doesn't pay because of my student visa status when I started work with them and HMRC brought a letter for me that I am owning. I am just confused as I don't know the right approach to solve this. embarassed
Update ***
I called HMRC today and told them about the tax letter and it was confirmed to be true. I gave my new employer P45 from my old employer and I think they didn't act well on it. HMRC said I don't need to worry much about it as the mistake was from my new employer so the payment will be spread for 12 months.
The annual personal allowance of £12,500 is not taxable, but any amount above that amount is taxable for income tax irrespective of your visa status.

Thanks to everyone for your assistance smiley
