Am I suprised, you all are missing on this kinds of topic ? You obviously don't know what to say for your stupidity would be too exposed if you made comments.
If this was an immoral topic like "My brothers fiancee is in love with me" or "Son sleeps with mother for 5 years" or "Dad impregnates his 5 daughters" or "My neighbours 16yr daughter is seducing me" or "My boss wife invites me to an Hotel" and all its likes....you would have all been present here and the pages of this toic would have been running up in high speed, so much of those "Big smile" icons would have flooded the topic and the wrong and corrupt flow of adrenalin in your body would have been obvious. You would have been so happy with the immorality and shower undivided number of praises of the performer of the immoral act.
When I see what your irresponsible, corrupt government say on paper, I become so furious on how those gullible these leaders take Nigerians for, but when i come down to Nairaland to read your equally corrupt, insensible posts........all i could say is "Lord have mercy !" |

Family › Re: Preventing Infidelity In Your Marriage by StepG: 3:07pm On May 31, 2013 |
tbaba1234: It is not uncommon to find couples who genuinely love each other getting caught up in a web of deceit and infidelity. As much as we are emotionally tied to our spouses, the truth is that it takes more than that to stay faithful. Couples make the same mistakes over and over again, then they wonder :How did it all go wrong?
The following are truths which i think couples should take note of and observe to reduce the chances of either of them falling into infidelity.
i. Marriage is not the end
Do not think that because you are married, you will not find other men/women attractive. It does not end with marriage, you will still find attractive people all around you. It is all about how you handle it.
ii. Your spouse is your only friend from the opposite sex
For the man, cut the phone calls with other women unless it STRICTLY has to do with business or work and does not go on for long periods, no text messages either. If she is not your wife, she is not your friend. That means you should not discuss private matters with other women. If you want to talk to a woman, talk to your mother or sister.
Keep discussions with other women, straight to the point. This means no flirting AT ALL. You might think it is harmless but the lady might not feel the same way. You are only in charge of your emotions.
The same applies to women, keep a stern voice if you need to. Keep discussions straight to the point and brief.
Like they say, one thing leads to another. You don't want to start that 'one thing'.
iii. Make yourself pretty for your spouse
It seems when couples get married, they stop looking good for themselves. They look good when they go out but within the house, they are a mess....
Imagine a man comes home every day to see his wife looking disheveled. This same man is bombarded by temptations outside the home and he comes home to see his wife looking 'anyhow'. Dress up for your husband, put some cologne on before he comes from work.
And men, take a shower and smell good in the home.... Try to always look the best for your spouse.
iv. Your best friend is not your spouse's friend
Most of the time, Infidelity occurs with people that are close. Your spouse's best friend or Your spouse's brother or sister. Your best friend is not your spouse's friend, keep the required distance. Do not be too cordial with your husband's friend or brother. Do not complain about your husband to his friend or brother. Talk to your father, if you need to talk to a man or talk to a professional.
Keep the barriers up in your relationships with these people. Be cordial but do not break the barriers.
If you were all friends before you got married. The man seizes to be your 'friend' after marriage. Be cordial and friendly but keep limits.
v. Make your relationship beautiful and keep it beautiful
Surprise your spouse from time to time, take vacations and long walks. Do not keep a grudge, resolve all issues before going to bed.
Once an issue is settled, DO NOT BRING IT UP AGAIN..... Start afresh..... Always start afresh after every conflict.
Vi.Segregate parties
If you have a house party, let the females stay together most of the time and the males together. You take care of bringing the food to the males while your wife takes care of the females.
Vi Switch the phones(& all forms of technology) off at night
Many times, actual communication is replaced by gadgets. Switch the phone off at night (Say from 9pm), shut down the laptop and just talk(unless, you are a doctor and could get late calls)
I have heard stories of men spending their nights on youtube when they have a home to run. Communicate as much as possible, your home is your priority
These are just a few things, hopefully someone finds it useful. |

RICHIE BOI: Bill Seeking To Unban Use Of Factory Tinted Glass Pass Second Reading In Senate.
A bill seeking to stop the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and other security agencies from harassing people who use vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses passes the crucial second reading on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday.
The sponsor of the bill, Senator Ita Enang (Akwa Ibom North East), said initiating the bill had become imperative in view of the incessant harassment of motorists who use tinted glasses, saying if the security agencies do not want Nigerians to use vehicles with tinted glasses, the best they can do is to completely prohibit the entry of such vehicles into the country.
According to Enang, it falls short of reason to ask persons who buy tinted glasses to go and remove them when it is common knowledge that the factory which produced such vehicles do not exist in Nigeria. He also faulted the move by the police to compel people to obtain permit before they can use their vehicles with tinted glasses.
Senator Enang, who is the Chairman, Rules and Business in the Senate, added that whereas the police always claimed that obtaining permission for the use of tinted glasses was free, such claim existed only on the pages of newspapers as persons who sought such permission reported that they were given various charges ranging from N10,000 and above.
He also queried the custody of the charges for tinted glasses’ permit, wondering who are the custodians of the money and the treasury where the money is kept as he, insisted that it was wrong for the police authorities to perpetrate the attitude of exploiting Nigerians without any legal basis.
There has been a running battle between motorists and the Nigeria Police over the use of vehicles with tinted glasses in Nigeria since 2008 resulting in a continuous clampdown on the former over the development.
Only the president, vice-president, governors, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President and the majority leader are allowed to use tinted glasses in the country.
The police said the need to ban the use of tinted glasses in the country had become necessary in view of the increasing state of insecurity in the country.

Kobojunkie: Five things Every Extrovert Should Know About Introverts http://briankim.net/blog/2007/10/top-5-things-every-extrovert-should-know-about-introverts/
First off, there are those who are reading this who might not know which camp they fall into, the extrovert or the introvert. Chances are, the majority of those reading this will know, but for those who don’t, let’s define those two terms here very broadly. Extroverts tend to be those who are more energized when around other people. They are the ones who will reach for the cell phone when alone for more than a minute, the ones who love to go out every weekend, the ones who love to chit chat, mingle, and socialize.
Introverts tend to be those who are more energized when alone with themselves. They are the ones who have to be dragged to parties, who are the first ones ready to leave after a short period of time, and who generally enjoy solitary activities such as reading, writing, and daydreaming. The qualities and characteristics of introverts are often held in a negative light in today’s world, so it’s only natural that the majority of people seem to think that there’s something wrong with them. The reason why the majority of people think that there’s something wrong with introverts is because the majority of people aren’t very knowledgeable when it comes to introverts, in terms of why they are the way they are and why they do the things they do.
Many people tend to hold several potentially damaging misconceptions about introverts, but through no fault of their own. I’ve been on both sides of the extrovert/introvert fence, and I can understand why extroverts tend to view introverts in a negative light, socially speaking, so I thought it would be best to write an article dedicated to helping extroverts understand their often very misunderstood introvert counterparts.
My hope is this article will help solve that problem by shedding some light as to why introverts are the way they are and do the things they do, so here are 5 things every extrovert should know about introverts.
1. If a person is introverted, it does NOT mean they are shy or anti-social. This is probably THE biggest misconception that extroverts tend to have when it comes to introverts. And you can’t really blame them for having that kind of misconception. Extroverts tend to have to drag introverts to parties, to convince them to go and sell them on attending social engagements. When introverts politely decline, extroverts automatically assume that something might be wrong so they always ask if everything’s all right and of course, everything is all right. It’s just a common misunderstanding. When extroverts see a pattern like this developing, they automatically assume that introverts are shy or anti-social as that can be the only logical explanation to them. What’s more, when extroverts try to engage introverts in small talk, it seems like they hit a brick wall. Add to that, most extroverts see that introverts tend to be fond of engaging in solitary activities such as reading, writing, and daydreaming. Well, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it must be a duck right? Wrong. Introverts have more brain activity in their frontal lobes and when these areas are activated through solitary activity, introverts become energized through processes such as problem solving, introspection, and complex thinking. Extroverts on the other hand tend to have more activity in the back of their brain, areas that deal with processing sensory information from the external world, so they tend to search for external stimuli in the form of interacting with other people and the outside world to energize them. There’s a deeper science to this that involves differences in the levels of brain chemicals such as acetylcholine and dopamine in extroverts and introverts, but I won’t get into that.
The bottom line is that introverts are just wired differently than extroverts. There’s nothing “wrong” with them. They just become energized through different processes depending on where the majority of their brain activity takes place.
Granted there are introverts who may be shy and anti-social, but that’s just a coincidence that perpetuates the myth that ALL introverts are like that. You’ll find that all introverts are fine just the way they are until people begin to subtly suggest otherwise.
2. Introverts tend to dislike small talk. If you really want to engage an introvert in conversation, skip the small talk. Introverts tend to love deep conversations on subjects that interest them. They love to debate, go past the superficial and poke around the depths in people’s minds to see what’s really going on in there. Most, if not all introverts tend to regard small talk as a waste of time, unless it’s with someone new they just met.
This characteristic probably contributes to another misconception that extroverts have of introverts - the misconception that all introverts are arrogant. Why? Because extroverts notice that introverts don’t talk that much with other people. Therefore, extroverts assume that introverts think they’re too good to talk to others, hence arrogant and that’s hardly the case. It’s just a matter of preference. Extroverts thrive on small talk. Introverts abhor it. There’s nothing wrong with either choice, it’s just a matter of preference. This brings us to the third point.
3. Introverts do like to socialize – only in a different manner and less frequently than extroverts. Yes, it’s true. Contrary to the majority of public opinion, introverts do like to socialize, but again, only in a different manner and less frequently than extroverts. Introverts love anything that involves deep conversation. They get energized by discussing subjects that are important to them and they love see what and how other people think, to connect the dots, to dig deep, to find root causes, to use logical thinking via debate in conversation, etc. And what’s more, introverts can do a lot of things extroverts are naturally good at - give great speeches, schmooze with everyone, be the life of the party, charm the socks off of total strangers - but only for a short period of time. After that, they need time for themselves which brings us to the fourth point.
4. Introverts need time alone to recharge. Extroverts tend to think introverts have something against them as they constantly seem to refuse generous invites to social engagements. Introverts do appreciate the offers, but it’s just that they know it will take a lot of energy out of them if they pursue these social functions. They need time alone like they need food and water. Give them their space. There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re not depressed and they’re not sad. They just need time alone to recharge their batteries.
5. Introverts are socially well adjusted. Most introverts are well aware of all the social nuances, customs, and mannerisms when it comes to interacting with other people, but they simply don’t choose to socialize as much as extroverts, which makes it easy for extroverts to assume that introverts are not socially well adjusted, as they have not seen much evidence of them interacting with other people. This just exacerbates previous misconceptions and gives way to labeling introverts as nerds, geeks, loners, etc.
It’s easy to understand why society tends to value extroverts over introverts. Human beings have lived in a tribal society so having to interact frequently with people came to be a regarded as a very good skill when it came to survival. But because of this high value placed on extroversion, introverts tend to feel trapped and find themselves in a catch 22 situation.
Do introverts stay true to who they are and risk social alienation and isolation or do introverts conform and join the extroverted side, pretending to be somebody they’re not just to fit in? This is precisely why I wrote this article, because if the extroverts can become more educated about introverts, introverts will be able to feel free to stay true to who they are, and that’s a good thing from society’s point of view. Trying to “turn” an introverted person into an extroverted person is detrimental because it gives off a subtle suggestion that there is something wrong with them, hampering their self worth and esteem when there is absolutely nothing wrong in the first place. There’s nothing wrong with introverts. In fact, introverts are the leading pioneers of advancements in human civilization. Albert Einstein, Issac Newton, Charles Darwin are a few introverts that come to mind, just to name a few. And for those of you not interested in science, but pop culture, you’ll be surprised to see a lot of well known names in Hollywood are introverts as well. Julia Roberts, Steven Spielberg, Christian Bale to name a few as well.
And for those interested in sports, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods come to mind as athletes who are introverts as well.
Introverts have a lot to bring to the table. They have an amazing ability to discover new thoughts, an uncanny ability to focus, to concentrate, to connect the dots, to observe and note things that most people miss, to listen extremely well and are often found having a rich and vivid imagination too. The more extroverts become knowledgeable about introverts, the less tension and misunderstanding there will be among the two. So if you’re an introvert reading this, send a copy of this article to all your extrovert friends so they can get a better idea of what you’re all about. It’s time to finally clear the air. |

idnoble135: Are you in a relationship? Do you love your man? Here are a few things that show that you’re just playing around:
1. Little things annoy you
If you always get unnecessarily agitated about a shirt he wears or some extra weight he gained or the way he sings in the car, then you don’t love him. When you really love someone, those things are funny, or at the very least tolerable. But if there’s no real connection there, the little flaws irritate you.
2. You don’t talk and you don’t care
If you don’t hear from him for two days, and you’re not bothered, then there’s a serious problem. Wanting to talk to your man, is a sure sign of true love. If you couldn’t care less, then you’re not in love.
3. You’re constantly comparing your relationship to others
When you’re really in love, you don’t care what everyone else is doing. You’re happy with what you have. Those differences in your relationship don’t feel like a problem. But, when you know you’re not meant to be with a guy, you constantly try to find something wrong with your relationship.
4. When going out, you still dress with other men in mind.
If you’re daydreaming about meeting handsome guys and dressing with that goal in mind, it means you wish you were single. That shows that you’re not really committed to your man.
5. He’s not the one you run to
When you’re upset about something, crying to your man seems like the obvious thing to do. But if you never confide in your guy, then you don’t really care about him. If you really wanted to be close, he’d be the one you go to when you need a sympathetic ear.
6. The image of you two standing at the altar gives you anxiety
If you can’t picture the two of you gazing into each other’s eyes happily on your wedding day, then you’re not meant to be. If you don’t smile at the thought of being his wife, then you’re just playing around.
7. You’re managing
If there are serious issues militating against your relationship that you know can’t be resolved but you’re still seeing the guy, then it’s obviously a dead end. If he’s of a different religion from you and you know you can only marry a man of the same religion, then you’re going nowhere. You’re only still with him because you’re avoiding the question: what next?
8.You’re disrespectful to each other
If you regularly insult your man, even in front of others, it’s a sign that you don’t really care about him. You’re lashing out at him because you know being with him is a waste of time.
9. You feel a little guilty around his family
Deep down you know you won’t be around forever, and they’re expecting you to be a daughter-in-law and the mother of their grandchildren someday. When you’re around the family of a man you don’t want to be with, it’s hard to suppress the guilt.
10. You’re still not sure if you like him
Basically, you opened this article! That’s not a good sign. When you know you’re serious about someone, you just know. If you’re still questioning your feelings, then you’re not meant to be.

blackmann: Usually on CARFAX you pay to have your vehicle reports given to you.
One more thing to add to the OP's post. Once you've satisfied yourself and have made your purchase, take the car to a very repuitable mechanic to have it thoroughly checked out. And there is a component that most mechanics say has to be removed that reduces the temprature of the engine(i've forgotten the name. Any of you guys can help me out here). this component usually makes the engine fan kick in once the engine gets hot. PLEASE DO NOT AGREE TO THIS. This component has been programmed to make the fan kick in when the engine gets too hot. If it is disabled, the fan will just continue to blow and this will put alot of stress on the engine of the car. Those that manufactured the car know why they put it there in the first place. At least we as humans will not put on an AC when the weather is very cold, will we? |

automedics: The following are the very important things that must be rigourously observed when you presumably an average person without any form of technical automotive knowledge wants to buy an automobile.
1.Don't let the aesthetic, that's the shimmering or sexy look of the car fool you. Usually, vehicles prepared for sale are deliberately burnished to glimmer.
2.Be very observant, immediately you turn the key on(just simply by turning the key one stroke, no cranking sound yet and the engine isn't working yet), make sure that all the images on the dashboard are lighted up. Why? Some Smart Alec car sellers sometimes remove or tape over the bulbs, inside the dashboard, of the warning signs.
3. As soon as the engine is cranked within a few seconds, it must not be up to a minute, the entire dashboard signs' lights must go off.
4. If you notice the CHECK ENGINE light going off simultaneously with the ALTERNATOR light and/or the OIL PRESSURE,then something is wrong. 5.Once the engine has been cranked and is running at idle, the person/s in the vehicle must not feel any discernible vibration. If you feel any form of vibration, it's either bad engine mounts/s, or bad transmission mount or the engine is misfiring. 6. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission system, simply engage the gear with your foot firmly on the brake pedal, you must not feel any sudden shudder or jerking. It should be a smooth engagement with the vehicle simply trying to move in the direction(" " forward and "R" backward) of the gear engaged. 7. If all the above observations have been satisfactorily met, while the vehicle's still running smoothly in idle, put on the AC(air conditioner). The needle on (or counter of) the RPM guage must still remain at the same position, allowing for maximum of fifty, over or below(not up to a movement between two stroke marks of the RPM guage). This is a good load test on the engine. 8.Before you make any payment for, or on, the vehicle: look through the lower region of the automobile's windscreen, literally in front of the steering wheel, or on the door frame of the driver's side, for the 17-digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)log on to http://www.carfax.com/, to get the vehicle history( service,ownership;incident-like accident/s etc). If you are happy with the report and all observational and physical test explained above, satisfied, you can then pay for the car. ]http://automedicsafrica.com/new/?p=816 Follow us on twitter @automedicsnig |

Sports › Re: Why Sports Stars Go Broke- Sunday Oliseh by StepG: 10:42am On Apr 10, 2013 |
contactwale: Sixty-five per cent of sportsmen go broke (bankrupt) after they quit the limelight.
In England wages of footballers average £30 000 a week (more than many households earn annually) but seven out of every ten ex-footballers are said to be 'broke' and having serious difficulties making ends meet.
Legendary sportspeople like Mike Tyson(earnings: $350 million, )Evander Holyfield ($250 million), Allen Iverson ($154 million), Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and Steffi Graf all declared themselves broke after their illustrious careers.
In Africa the figures are worse but the fact that most ex-African stars are smart and stay away from the public eye when it happens has helped mask the magnitude.
One is forced to ask how on earth this is possible, judging by the enormous sums earned during their active days?
LACK OF FINANCIAL EDUCATION
Contrary to what most people think, sportsmen are not complete illiterates or un-educated. They are educated in the art of sports and not finance. To get to the top of the world, you have to focus all your time to your sport and school education suffers. Hence, in most cases, top athletes are not educated in financial matters. This is no excuse but they hardly devote time to learn how to manage money.
Most superstars originate from acutely poor backgrounds and, in most cases, are raised by financially poor but not necessarily morally poor parents. They generally have a good heart but when the riches come to these sportsmen, they are found wanting in the know-how to handle this sudden wealth.
Case Study: Mike Tyson, ex world heavyweight boxing champion
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Especially among Coloured stars and Africans, a man's wealth is shared among his family and we do have huge families.
Once these sports stars hit the big time, these family members and friends have to be catered for: school fees, feeding allowances, house rents, burials and house purchases etc all are billed to the sports star who erroneously thinks it is his duty to pay this. They become the sole bread winners for family and friends.
The financial burden that these stars inherit from their family and extended families is so huge that it practically drains them dry.
How much to share with family, friends and their savings account is a dilemma for African stars. The African culture is a communal kind of life and a lovely one at that, where it is deemed normal to share your earnings among family, unlike the western style where your family is just you, your wife and children.
Case Study: Aranxta Sanchez Vicario of Spain, a top ex tennis star
EARNING TOO FAST
A "normal" millionaire builds his millions gradually but athletes make the majority of their income in a short period of time, at a very early age. The entrepreneur can save over that lengthy period and learn to manage wealth at his own pace, unlike young professional athletes.
This wealth breeds stubbornness and advice from well meaning people is often ignored. Youth is synonymous with errors, due to inexperience, and it is difficult to tell a rich, young sports star that his ideas are wrong. He will simply ask you, “If you know it better, why aren't you the rich one instead of me?”
Case Study: Mike Tyson, ex world heavyweight boxing champion (world champion at age 17)
LACK OF POST-CAREER PLANS
Very few athletes plan for their post-career life during their active days. The preparation of body and mind for the next stage in their lives is not there. Some even erroneously think they will continue in the sports system for long periods after retirement, as coaches, managers, journalists or analysts. However, there is limited space to accommodate all and these functions need some form of education and study, which most athletes lack.
SPENDING A LOT AND SAVING A LITTLE
Everyone earns money (if you work) but not everyone saves in the same degree as they earn. Some sports stars mostly think that these huge earnings are not temporary but will last a lifetime. A successful career lasts at the most 10 to 12 years but the athletes sometimes forget that if you retire at the age of 35 and God let's you live till 70, you still have another 35 years to live. Boy those years run slowly when the wealth is not there.
"I spent over a million dollars on jewellery"- Andre Rison, former NFL star
EXPENSIVE DIVORCES
Most sports stars meet their other halves when they are active and are at their best. Retirement means a change to their lifestyle and social standing and also to that of their spouses. This and the more frequent presence at home stifles and pressurises marriages. The end result is divorce and they usually are expensive. The effects are devastating and the inability to cope causes bankruptcy for many.
Case Study: Kenny Anderson (Ex basketball star) lost $60 million to ex-wives
BAD BUSINESS INVESTMENT
Naturally, with so much money earned, many athletes try to invest and follow bad advice from managers and so-called friends. In most cases they invest in ventures that they have no expertise in and often these deals go bad.
The success most athletes have as sportsmen seems to blind them from the fact that they might not be successful as businessmen, even in sports business.
Case Study: Evander Holyfield, ex world heavyweight boxing champion
"THE LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL SYNDROME"
At retirement, several sportsmen continue spending and living like they used to when they were active or at their prime. Hundreds of thousands are still spent on jewellery, mistresses and holiday homes in areas they hardly visit. These are quiet drains on their fortune and by the time they realise it, it is too late.
Most athletes have a problem transforming from active to passive sportsmen.
Case Study: Allen Iverson kept spending $360 000 every month after retirement
This piece is written with the aim of sharing with aspiring sportsmen the errors they should avoid and with parents so they know how to mould or guide their children.
In conclusion, to err is human but with success comes envy and jealousy and even criminality from dubious minds. One has to be careful and not err in a big way. The harder you try to earn honest money through sport success, the more there are people working even harder to separate you from that wealth.
As a sportsman people will love you but you have to love yourself most by being cautious and prayerful. od help us all!

Car Talk › Re: Car Thieves Gone Digital! by StepG: 10:04am On Apr 10, 2013 |
kayalla: I locked my car As I walked away I heard my car door unlock''.I went back and locked my car again three times. Each time, as soon as I started to walk away, I could hear it unlock again!! Naturally alarmed, I looked around and there were two men sitting in a car next to the Store. They were obviously watching me intently, and there seemed no doubt they were somehow involved in this very weird situation. I quickly abandoned my errand, jumped into my car and sped away. I went straight to the police station, told them what had happened, and found out I was part of a new, and very successful, scheme being used to gain entry into parked cars. Two weeks later, my friend's son had a similar experience...
While traveling, he stopped at a motorway service area to use the toilet. When he came out to his car less than 5 minutes later, someone had managed to get into his car and had stolen his mobile phone, laptop computer, sat-nav, briefcase and other belongings. He called the police and since there were no signs of his car having been broken into, the police told him he had probably been a victim of the latest robbery tactic – there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security code when you lock your doors on your car using your remote locking device. They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know you are going inside the Store, restaurant, or whatever and that they now have a few minutes to steal and run.*
The police officer said always to lock your car manually with the key when parking in a public area. That way if there is someone sitting in a car nearby watching for their next victim, it will not be you. When you lock up with the key upon exiting, it does not send the security code, but if you walk away and use the remote button, it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be easily intercepted by the device.
This is very real. Be aware of what you just read and pls pass this information. Thanks |
