Vicky and her friends took a tour of Badagry Slave Port where they were shown the first storey building in Nigeria. She shared the photos on social media and wrote... 'Then we had to work some few kilometers away from the first administrative building to the first Storey building in Nigeria built in 1845. Outside this building use to be an AGIA TREE where Christianity was first preached by Rev. Birch Freeman of Methodist Church. Discretely, everyone said a silent word of prayer here because we were told that prayers said here always get answered. Oh! The miracle well that houses the cleanest water I have ever tasted was there. It was dug by Slaves. It’s called miracle well because it is the only well free from salt in the whole environs. Inside the building were portraits of men like Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther and several other notable men who work on establishing Christianity in Nigeria. We also saw a broken Chair that was so much taken care of like glass wares cared for by a woman. “What is so special about this Chair Mr Ade? “ One of us asked our tour guide. We learnt it is the last chair standing since 1859 in the iconic building. I felt blessed to be there and some of spiritually just engulfed me. But our tour was just about to start' Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2017/04/photos-of-first-storey-building-in.html

According to Onyebuchi Ememanka who shared the story, players and officials of Enyimba Football Club of Aba were yesterday attacked by violent fans of Katsina United club in Katsina.Their bus was destroyed. He wrote.... 'Players and officials of Enyimba Football Club of Aba went to Katsina yesterday to honor a football match with Katsina United in the Nigerian Professional League. They were beaten 2-1 by their hosts. That was not enough for them. After the match, the crowd became violent and attacked the players and officials, destroying their bus. Some of the players and officials got wounded. These people will come here and be treated with respect and their safety will be assured. It is on record that no visiting team has ever been molested by our people. This nonsense has to stop. I am sure that the Management of Enyimba will put up a very strongly worded protest letter to the Nigeria Football Federation' cc; Lalasticlala,mynd44 Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2017/04/katsina-united-fans-attack-enyimba.html

As shared by Dogara...... 'Sequel to last week's resolution, the House of Representatives today engaged the ministers for finance and budget & planning regarding #pensionmatters. The ministers took turns making submissions and fielding questions, some of which correlated with questions you asked. Pensioners were not left out, as Dr. Abel Afolayan - national president of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners - also addressed the House. We made it clear that no excuses would be accepted for non-payment of pensions and urged the Executive to to ensure that all outstanding payments are made soon. When H.E., President Muhammadu Buhari made a commitment that he was going to release bailout funds to states so that they can pay backlog of salaries & pensions, it happened, despite the biting recession. I am therefore hopeful that now that the President has said #pensionmatters will be resolved, then this issue of unpaid pension for federal civil servants must be solved'. I also want to believe that this will be the last intervention we will have regarding #PensionMatters in this country, and would like to thank you all for your contributions.
