More than 2000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and two members from Labour Party (LP) have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borikyo Council ward of Ukum local Government area of Benue State.

They were led by Mr. Paul Ayati yesterday.

The defectors burnt their membership cards to show their loyalty, pledging allegiance to the APC.

Addressing the decampees, Benue state Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr.Tersoo Kpelai thanked Borikyo people for believing in the change agenda over the years.

He listed the achievements of Governor Samuel Ortom in his one year of being in office.

“The difference between our administration and the previous one is that the previous Government had the resources and allocations in excess, yet refused to use it judiciously but will are operating on dwindling allocations,” Kpelai said.

CelebritiesPeople Who Killed Bridget Are Not Muslims But Murderers – Stella Damasus by stephenduru(op): 8:52pm On Jun 04, 2016
Actress, Stella Damasus has joined numerous Nigerians to call for justice for Mrs. Bridget Agbahwe, who was beheaded in Kano yesterday for alleged blasphemy. Damasus in series of tweets said that the people, who committed the crime are not Muslims, but murderers that want to start religious war in the country.

"Those people who killed Bridget are not Muslims. They are bloody murderers who should be brought to justice. #JusticeForBridget.Religion should not be used as an excuse to kill in this century. They have to be caught and punished #JusticeForBridget.

"Some evil men want to cause a religious war in this time when Nigeria is facing so much. #JusticeForBridget.

"We should not be tempted to retaliate because the real Muslims are not in support of this. #JusticeForBridget. The perpetrators are not even worthy to be called Islamic extremists. They are frustrated killers who need to be taught the lesson of life.

"Let us keep praying and talking about this till justice is served #JusticeForBridget. Nigeria cannot be a country that will be known to accept murder regardless of the reason. #JusticeForBridget," she said.

PoliticsGhanaians Accuse Dele Momodu Of Wading In2 Their Politics 4 Financial Gains(pics by stephenduru(op): 9:25pm On May 29, 2016
Dele Momodu has always been a fan of John Dramani Mahama, the incumbent President of Ghana, and so it didn’t come as a surprise to many Nigerians when he declared support for the politician who is running for another term in office.

However, Ghanaians following the Nigerian publisher have called him out for supporting Mahama’s return to office, accusing him of meddling into their politics for personal gain, a claim Momodu thoroughly denies.

While Mahama is the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), his opponent Nana Afufo-Addo of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), is winning many hearts, hence why the country-people are slugging it out with Momodu.

See their exchange above.

But Dele Momodu is undeterred. He has since been posting Mahama’s flyers, driving his point home: he isn’t scared easily.

Perhaps, his Ghanaian followers need to look up his fight with Davido’s Adeleke family and see how tenacious the publisher can be when driven?
