President Buhari and Minister of State for Petroleum Ibe Kachikwu today May 20 met with Shell Upstream team at the State House.The team was led by the Shell Global Upstream Director, Mr. Andrew Brown.

It should be recalled that shell recently evacuated its workers at Nigeria’s Bonga oil field in the southern Niger Delta following a threat from Niger Delta militants.Earlier shell spokesman stated that oil output was continuing at its oil fields in Nigeria while it was monitoring the security situation.

Abubakar Attahiru is dead. He died after informing his friends on facebook that he is on admission – about to undergo surgery to remove his appendix. On May 17th, Abubakar wrote; “Folks, your friend is now on admission for appendectomy (surgical removal of appendix). Your prayers are needed, please.”


Barely 24 hours later his post, sympathizers thronged his page to inform his fans that he has passed on.  It is still unknown if he died as a result of the appendix. May his soul rest in peace. See more of his pics below;

Operatives of the EFCC, on Tuesday May 17, 2016, arrested one Elisha Ankuma for allegedly impersonating as a staff of EFCC and obtaining by false pretence. Ankuma’s arrest followed a complaint by one Dr. Audu Shekaro, a childhood friend of the suspect and a staff of National Veterinary Research Institute, Jos, Plateau State that the suspect sometime in November 2015 called to inform him that the EFCC was auctioning vehicles worth N400,000 (four hundred thousand naira).#Fraud. #Impersonation. #EFCC.

Who Rules Nigeria: MAMMAN DAURA or MUHAMMADU BUHARI? Shocking Insider Details Revealed.

The elected president of Nigeria is Muhammadu Buhari but there is a power behind the throne that many Nigerians are not even aware of. This person is so powerful and influential that he is said to have the closest ear of the president, more than ANYONE else. His name is Mamman Daura. The two men are related by blood: President Buhari is Mamman Daura’s uncle although Daura is two and half years older than the president. The nephew-uncle relationship is described as extremely close and date back to childhood years. Now that Buhari is in power as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the relationship is said to have even taken another dimension entirely with Daura wielding near-absolute power and authority.

An industrialist and later editor and managing director of New Nigeria newspaper (one of the most influential publications in Nigeria at a point), Mamman Daura has been described as ‘intensely engaging, extremely intelligent and brilliant‘. However, not everyone agree with that description. Reliable sources within the Aso Rock Presidential Villa are raising an alarm that there is a dangerous power tussle within the camps of support around the president. They claim Daura has cornered everything and has blocked access to the president. Even some of the most loyal supporters of the president and some of the president’s family members are very bitter as to how Daura cut off everyone else from the president.
Daura lives in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa and whenever he is off to his Kaduna residence, he is said to have access to the jets of the Nigerian Presidential Air Fleet and make use of them as he so desires. Daura is said to have more access to the presidential fleet than many elected officials in government and even the wife of the President, he is that close and influential to the president. He seems to have been given a free hand to operate as he likes and determine who gets what as far as the presidency is concerned. The education minister reportedly got the appointment because of Daura’s approval and nomination. His security network both in Abuja and Kaduna are said to rival that of the president himself with his Kaduna residence guarded round the clock by a detachment of heavily-armed soldiers. His convoy is also said to be nothing but presidential.
While revealing to our field correspondents, aides and close advisers of the president accuse Daura of cornering all the appointments, contracts, deals and even collecting millions from people before allowing them have access to the president or get any appointment approved. They say that many appointments in Buhari’s cabinet were heavily influenced by Daura. They went to further explain that if you are not in Daura’s good books, you can as well forget seeing the president or even getting any appointment or approval from the presidential villa. Many insiders who pleaded anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the matter and would not want to be found in the direct path of Mr. President are gravely worried that Daura has walled off the president from good and diverse advice and fear that it is a matter of time before the adverse effects will start manifesting to all Nigerians.

Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir el-Rufai led senior government officials to Zaria for a site meeting with the contractors on Friday. The governor revealed that the 150m liters per day water treatment plant in Zaria will be completed by December 2016.El Rufai restated that all the components of the Zaria Water project are priority items for the government.The contractors acknowledged that Kaduna State Government has paid all the arrears left by previous administration, at the rate of N300m per month. The contractors assured the Governor that the water treatment plant will be ready in December.

Nig LTD in Kano.According to the social media user Zuma who shared the photos,this comes when people of Kano are finding it difficult to buy fuel with the current price of N175 per litre in Kano.Our Hausa leaders should please explain more.

A Bishop in Vihiga County Kenya together with two other suspects were beaten up for allegedly stealing a cow.
The cow owner, Philip Owindo, said that he woke up Saturday morning to find his cow missing and after asking in the neighbourhood, he was led to the compound of Bishop Benjamin Owino of the Roho Neno St Maria Church.
After the Bishop was beaten by the angry mob, he agreed to reveal the identities of his two accomplices, who are worshipers of his church. The trio had planned to sell the cow.
Kaila Assistant Chief Gregory Odhiambo confirmed the incident saying he was able to save the three suspects from the public who were out to lynch them.
Odhiambo called on the public not to take law into their hands. The suspects are being held at the Maseno Police Station and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
