We don't know. We don't care. It has no bearing on our core faith. May God grant you the political strive you are looking for. AntlisIaam: Sultan made his own declaration yesterday but the league of alfas and imams had fixed March 1 to commence their own 1-0-1 fasting some weeks back. Some loyalists to Sultan condemned the league of alfas and imams to have made their own decisions without the authority of your fulani master.
The question is why did the league of alfas and imams in SW states, Edo, Kogi, Kwara and Delta kicked against the directives of Sultan by fixing their own date for the commmencent of Ramadan without the directives of your fulani master in sokoto?
Guy, don't pretend as if you don't know what is happening, say the truth to free your mind |

The Persian and Roman Empires, the two greatest superpowers were brought down by militaries with far less experience in warfare and significantly fewer men, many times outnumbered by a ratio of 3 to 1. Na God o Moses fought, David fought with God's permission. The prophet fought as well with God's command and permission and we are happy with it. Peace if you want, war if you want that as well. Servants of God do not shy away from either and we aren't hypocrities. lakefist: Keep deceiving yourself head slammer!!!

What speculation? That The existence of life itself dictates there is something higher. Unfortunately for you, many religions across the universe do believe in the existence of consciousness after death. What happens to that consciousness is mainly the bone of contention. I am against folks making definitive statements that dismisses the complexities of this world and folks who haven't experienced death before. Kobojunkie: Again, you admitted earlier that this is all speculation and hence also not factual claims regarding belief and after life, yes? 🤔
Now, of course, I am against folks making definitive statements regarding that which is unknown, regardless of which side they are on. |

And she was in the way. People need to learn we en to be considerate. She should have felt ashamed for needing to be tapped to be mindful of her surroundings but content must be created. pocohantas: The video clearly shows she is the one dragging and tearing his clothes. Yet she posted an AI generated explanation twisting events. This attitude of trying to make content everywhere is why many Lagos restaurants are coming up with no picture/video policy. They act like everyone needs to stop for them to shoot those silly dance videos.
She was making a video and moving backwards. If the man didn't stretch out his hand to tap her, she would have bumped into him in an inappropriate way.
Irrespective of the tap, for her to physically abuse him tells a lot. I hope she is rusticated. |

I have a child who draws. He learnt it. I coached him, despite having no clue about art or colours. Yet his ability to match colours is unbelievable for a child his age. It is truly genius level. No one in the family is creative. Not a single person. Anyone can learn to be creative. But to rise above creativity? That takes something more, something innate. I daresay you can learn to have that as well. If you struggle to grasp that, take it up with your primary school teacher. Smithwilliams826:

Creativity is not inbuilt. It is learned. However, there are creatives that are pure genius and innovators. Natbrowny: It may look simple but its creativity.
My pops asked us one day to fill a jerican with beans.
My cousins, neighbor kids were all there with their own jerican n beans for the assignment, some were using hands to pack and fill, some were even picking one by one.
I just conned up a paper and boom seconds jerican don full. So many assignments like dat, pops discovered i was creative and encouraged me. Now i do tinz that in splits seconds, I'll just decide I'm going a particular way n style and people around will be like haaaa so dis guy really did dis. Creativity is inbuilt and also can be learned very well n quickly. We all have a gift, talent, whatever name u call it |

In whatever it was before the body was created. In Islam, body decayed or gone but the consciousness (soul) remains aware. The Qur'an says there is unseen barrier until the day of rising. In what exact form, gas, energy, etc? Only God knows! People feel the death of a loved one before hearing of it. Which suggest we consciousness isn't just physical. Truthseeker10: In what form does consciousness remain after death? |
Christianity Etc › Re: After Death: What Happens? Where Will You Be? by Sterope(f): 10:12am On Feb 08, 2025 |
You are missing the connection 1. We lack sufficient knowledge to make any definitive argument against life after death. 2. The world operates with such an unbelievably precision from the laws of physics to the fine-tuning of the solar system. The idea that all of this happened without any intelligent cause is improbable. It is reasonable to consider there is something else out there science do not yet. 3. Modern research have suggested that humans naturally believe in a higher power from childhood. It is called Fitra in Islam, the belief that we are all born with that natural disposition. This points to something deeper within our nature. 4. Lack of physical evidence does not negate the belief in the higher power. Unless you are claiming that science sees and knows all. We live in a world people have dreams/intuition that transcends time and actual knowledge. Science is yet to provide an answer for that. You cannot study consciousness does not mean it doesn't exist. 5. My perspective is influenced by my faith, but it does not make it irrational. Belief in the unseen is not unique to my religion, it also exists in scientific theory Kobojunkie: You are missing the point. This is not about whether one believes in a deity or not but whether the claims attributed to the particular deity surrounding the issue of death are factual or not. |

Which was why I stated earlier on- I am a Muslim and my judgement comes from the Qur'an. You are not dead. You can't say 100% there is no life beyond this life. You can't also create life. So he's, I am discounting whatever opinion you or him has about life or death. Objectively, you are wrong. You don't know. I could be wrong too because I don't know either but it would be foolish to outrightly says there isn't life after death. There is so much we don't know. We have very limited knowledge about the world. With our limited knowledge it is wiser to consider the higher consciousness (God). My God says there is life after death so yes there is. I don't care what other diety says. Kobojunkie: I am afraid you lost me there. Wetin concern "circular argument" with any of the questions wey I ask abeg?
2. Wait a second... a moment ago, we were discussing what happens when we die. But now I see you have seguewayed into talking about what some deity thinks or says of death. Why? Also, there are over 4000 different deities out there each with their unique ideas regarding death, so what makes you think your deities idea should be introduced in the case when death is common to us all but your deity isn't?
So, earlier when you mentioned some higher consciousness, you were not referring to the human consciousness acquiring a higher status but of a completely different and non-human consciousness which you considered of higher status? |
Christianity Etc › Re: After Death: What Happens? Where Will You Be? by Sterope(f): 1:31am On Feb 08, 2025 |
Circular argument He is a creator. Ever living, ever lasting. Which defeats your question he can't be created. No begining and no end. He says there is life after death. Your consciousness remains but not in your body and I abide by that. Kobojunkie: At what point was this higher consciousness born and what is the evidence of its birth? What is the benefit of this higher consciousness? And by the way, isn't this what speculating is all about? |
Christianity Etc › Re: After Death: What Happens? Where Will You Be? by Sterope(f): 1:17am On Feb 08, 2025 |
It loses the ability does not negate the existence of higher consciousness Kobojunkie: We do know a couple of things that will happen after a person dies and they are that:
➜The consciousness that was originally born into that body completely loses its ability to communicate with the outside world through that same body ➜The body that once held the consciousness degrades back to the dust from which it was made.
These things we know for sure i.e. they are not speculations. |
Christianity Etc › Re: After Death: What Happens? Where Will You Be? by Sterope(f): 1:16am On Feb 08, 2025 |
You want me to trust your opinion based on your limited knowledge. I am a Muslim. I would rather trust God. Kobojunkie: Does one need to be able to create life before one can have an opinion based on the much we can know as humans about death though? |
Christianity Etc › Re: After Death: What Happens? Where Will You Be? by Sterope(f): 1:10am On Feb 08, 2025 |
Yes to your question You don't even know what would after. You are speculating. Kobojunkie: Does one first need to die before realizing that just as we had no consciousness before conception— acquired a physical form death possibly signifies an end to the consciousness since the physical form is returned back to the elements from which it was made? |
