Apologies if I did..Your criticism was good. Only that you seemed to talk him down a little in my opinion..Apologies once again sir..
Lol, I was only asking some questions that a student would ask in a class, here is a project that have been following up and it's what I want to do, therefore I need to ask questions so as to further know more as I never and will never criticise him nor talk him down. if there was any perception about that, I apologise too, it was never intended.

Peace!!!

Like your rightly said oga Turks.all these natural ingredients are abundantly available in the market.its totally scalable for 10,000birds.
If I grew up taking agbo and my kids also did, without dosage.one can always work it out for the chickens also.there isn't need for plenty grammar and formula on this.
The point I was actually driving at what how to make organic materials readily available for the farmers to buy in a packaged form. It's not as if I was writing against it.

*Unreal? He updated the house every step of the way yet you term this as unreal? I'm shocked. What other proof do we need? If a white man carried out this experiment with this huge success, would you have termed it unreal?. This is why's it's called a pilot project. There's always a prototype and then advancements and modifications are made bas d on the prototype. This is the prototype and there are bound to adjustments even breakthroughs to be made based on this experiment. There are farms out there; loads of farms with huge flocks who raise birds [not only broilers] 100% organic. Nigeria is still new in it's embryo stage when it comes to anything organic and I'm sure we'll get there soon enough. Organicfood's experiment is a proof of it.

You must have a taste of the meat? He has nothing to prove to you to be honest cos if you'd had a taste, you'd still have had something negative to say I'm sure. This just the beginning of something good to come; all of the ingredients are readily available for the taking, all that needs to be done is improve on the dosage/ration/application. Like I said, this is a pilot project and loads of procedures are open to improvement.

I think you misunderstood my use of the word "UNREAL", if you have been following my other posts on this thread you should know that I was indirectly praising the success rate achieved so far. I intentionally mentioned you with the mind that we have been following the project together from the onset.
I think you were too quick to judge me wrongly.
Well, sometimes we read meaning to some words differently.

I must confess that the result has been unreal and too good.
Remember I told u I must taste out of the meat to know the taste, toughness, and the quality of the meat.
Considering the fact that these birds were just 50 and the resources can always be gotten since they would be needed in a smaller quantity.
My challenge is about those that would be going on full scale say stocking about 10,000.My questions are:
How do one get the materials that would be enough to serve such number of birds?
How would one get the quantity of Ginger/garlic that would be enough to serve such number of birds?
How would one culture the lacto bacillus to go round on daily basis for the birds to feed on?

Have also learnt on how to treat some diseases using organic materials like bitter leaves, aloe Vera, scent leaves, bitter lemon etc, now, in a situation like these how do I get the quantity that would be enough for my farm, that means I will have to finish the whole bitter leaf in the market. Lol

OK, let's assume those materials would be packaged and sold out for those into the organic farm to but, at the end of the day you will discovered that the price of those material will almost be equal or more than the normal price of the conventional drugs that we are used to.
Ordinarily the price of an organic broiler should be more expensive than the synthetic ones that we know, but how many house hold would want to cash in?
My other question is, we are being made to understand that the birds are on daily ginger/garlic juice, now won't the meat have the smell o both ginger/garlic? Remember some people don't like that smell.

Please, am not trying to be pessimistic here but just been curious of some certain observations as have taken my time to ponder on it, I tried to check the pros and cons of the project, am sure you all know that nobody here would be bold enough not to vaccinate his or her 10,000 bird.
My post is subject to corrections so please.

My broilers are eating well but no longer weighs as they used to. Their feathers are falling off as well, is it moulting? They are 8 weeks +, is their anything I can do or just keep feeding them and hoping for the best. Some have brown poos as well is their any organic means to arrest the situation am tired of drugs and gradually falling for organic..
The brown poo you have there is Cocci, someone once recommended using bitter leave to treat it organically and it worked for the person, more so u may need to also reduce there space to avoid too much roaming n they need to stay often in one place to help conserve the energy.
have you also try to weigh them at all?

Yes, lots of meat but you can see the difference in the quality through the way they stand, walk, their body shape (low to the ground cos of fat and weight compared to bore density), their skin (giants with feathers missing already at 6 weeks) and the cleanliness of the birds.

Are the organic ones going to be more expensive or people will want to pay less because they are smaller; if so, that is a pity!
As a poultry farmer, one should be thanking God when your birds produces lesser feather and more meat, these are a sign of good breeds,
for commercial purposes those feather after plucking out ends up reducing your total weight which on the other hand would have been an advantage on your side,
as for the taste and toughness of the meat, I want to believe this would be better than the conventional method that we are used to, this is organic.
lesser fat, more meat, so what you have there is not fat but meat. heavy meat.
As regard the height of the bird, from my observations Zartec birds are always the shorter type with a large gizzards, and what matter most is the weight.(kg)
We once had a challenge in our farm, the birds were growing more of feather than the usual meat, and we discovered that d guys working in our mills were the ones doing the dirty job, rather than mixing the feeds in the right proportion, they were instead filling the bags with Maize offal without the correct proportion of the concentrate. In essence, they were basically feeding those birds with chaff.

you are doing a great work, but I have some little observations though, first of all I that space is too much for the number of birds u purchased, I will advice u demarcate it from the middle, then the feeder at this age, I will advice it should be tray for easy access to the feed, the feeder that you are using will not permit them to feed freely and easily, then once the space is bn reduced, maybe the u can also remove some of the lanter as 2 or 3 should be enough. Pls this is just an observation. thanks

Yes this project is for the small scale farmers to grow their own broilers with cheaper alternatives that works. Several other things involved like control of liter borne diseases using microbes and water purification are been documented for the ordinary farmer to be able to do their own production successfully trust me. shocked

Weight at 17 days. All birds appears to be on "weight gain steroids" without any synthetic drugs. Now they are on combo cocktails of organic nutrients and antibiotics. Who is afraid of organic poultry production?
wow! this is unbelievable, you are making me to feel uncomfortable with my present state, I need to jump into this ASAP. nice job

First if i may ask how old are? Every antibiotics should be used according to their age; u might have more mortality if proper care is not taken. Antibiotics has stages in every chicken and how it's used.

Eldorado Farm
there's nothing impossible, and like the OP has rightly highlighted on the topic, it's a project. projects can give you either positive or negative result, his main aim is to work against the norm, he's raising those birds organically different from what we used to know, it's the output of the result that would necessitate his next point of action or not.

please, as they grow, always endeavour to be suspending both their drinker and feeding trough from the ground to avoid pass out their stools into both the feed and the water, remember, your aim is to avoid some diseases, you could place the water on a wood or piece of block which is still at their eye level. thanks

Most of the things happening now were all foretold, so it's no surprise when some people come in here to make some unnecessary argument, this life is simple, face your Atheism while I face my God. no need convincing/confusing ourselves on who is on the right track. But as long as me and my family lives We will serve the Lord.

*Lolzzzz Nigerians Will Make Fun of Anything ..Lol*
*Now to Spiritual Matters*:
*APC 1:1-8*
Our Reading For Today Is Taken From The Book
Of APC Chapter 1 Verse 1 To 8 ....
1. And it came to pass, when the Lord would punish Nigeria, that he gave them a president under whose hand they were mightily oppressed.
.
2. Before he ascended the throne, he made them hope, with all manner of promises, that he would
bring them to the promised land before the coming year began.
.
3. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria grew restless with their good condition, and sorely vexed the
president under whose hand they had prospered, so that he would not have the office of the president again, but rather resented it.
.
4. In those days also the Boko haramites laid siege to the north, and slew of the people three and twenty thousand, intending to set up a
kingdom which would be ruled by Islam.
.
5. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria remembered not the good deeds of Jonathan, but thrust him out of the throne, and made Buhari president in
his stead.
.
6. Buhari was seventy and two years old when he began to reign. He reigned one and a half years in
Nigeria, and the land became impoverished under him and the Hausites the Igbolites and Yorubites
began murmuring against the President
.
7. But the President continued to persecute also a few of the people, accusing them and casting them into prison. Thus, the opposition was
subdued, the people could not find bread and rice to eat and there was hunger in the land.
.
8. And the end became uncertain as there was wailing and gnashing of teeth and as soon as the president heard this he began to travel around the world and in the middle of his reign he launched a campaign to say to the people
"Change begins with you". May God bless this reading in our hearts.
