Mystiqme: Hi. Are you sure about this? Cos I've been hearing that Nigerians need transit visa to layover in the UK. Infact I'm trying to book a ticket for someone and the cheapest one involves transitioning at Heathrow, but I had to avoid that cos of the transit visa thing. House, any solid info about this would be appreciated.
Will find out about this today.
Thanks for your inputs.

Joenice: Yes, I've traveled a lot. I will have to leave for Chicago for my masters next year. I need to plan very well. Chicago is very expensive. My friend would be coming with me. So we need to plan together. Then we need to have two beautiful ladies, grin who would be cooking for us and keep our house clean, as niggas don't have time to do house chores
Bad guy!

stevecrun: bro,i'd rather fly during winter and pay less..don't care if our plane skids off the run way..if it even goes missing, they go find us and we continue our flight..
Hahahahahaahhahaahha.
I'm sure you don't mean that.
Let joenice tell you his experience and you'll have a rethink.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 8:49pm On Aug 03, 2014
Joenice: Man, you can travel by air and nothing would happen to you. I always have a positive mind whenever I'm travelling by air. Till one day, when our plane refused to land for over half and hour due to poor weather and was about to make emergency landing. I was really scared and had to pray my last prayer. I remembered my parents, brothers, sisters and friends and so on and said to God, please save me and everybody in this airplane. I cover everybody with blood of Jesus. At last, we landed safely grin
WOW!
You are strong willed. A very good virtue.
Little wonder winter flying appeals to you.
I'm gonna ask for a tour of the cockpit during my flight...I know they won't agree but imma try anyways.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 8:29pm On Aug 03, 2014
Joenice: Would you pray for disaster? Probably not. For me, winter is the best time to travel and that's when you know the real niggas cheesy

You see them on jackets, trying to survive cheesy
Lmao.
Ofcus I don't pray for disaster but you must understand that the risks are greater.
I'll be travelling quite often this winter but since it's just around the US and maybe Canada, i'll prolly do a road trip.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 8:15pm On Aug 03, 2014
Mjseun: Please is it compulsory to get a transit visa while going to Atlanta via Amsterdam (klm for you). Is it also okay to sleep in an hotel in Atlanta till the following day and take off the following day to Gainesville as that's my destination and my supervisor with other lab member need to welcome me and pick me up from the Airport during the day.

Please I need response as soon as possible.

Thanks
I don't think you need a transit visa. You might just have to chill at the airport for your connecting flight.
Yes you can chill at ATL and proceed the following day.

stevecrun: Plane tickets prices bursting people's head here..

Winter will bring greater promises..make una no worry
During winter prices are somewhat cheaper but the risks involved are much greater... flights are cancelled cos of weather and that's when planes usually skid off runways grin
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 7:59pm On Aug 03, 2014
Mjseun: Please how do I reserve a flight oooo. What I'm seeing is too expensive. Economy class for that matter. Bursting my head right now.
My brother na see we see am ooo..
Its peak perio right now so flight fares will be of the roof.

When are you expected to report to school?
the farther ahead you book and pay, the cheaper it may be.
I booked with Qatar with about 1month before departure and paid 201k to Miami. I have two stop overs in Doha and London heathrow...Plz don't ask about the wait times in between. it's the price I have to pay so I'm ready.

famolino: What are the things (documents) I need if someone decides to send me invitation letter from the US?
You do not need an invitation letter if you're applying for a student visa.
If you are not a prospective student, then you're in the wrong thread.

honeyad: Pastor stewee! What are the psalms to read for easy POE access grin
LMAO
POE shouldn't be a problem.
Prayers to succeed in a foreign land is what I'm concentrating on. When they see the fire your coming with they won't even delay you at POE.

You have a green light!

MsNas: I'd advise you to get StraightTalk, SimpleMobile or MetroPCS. They're the cheapest oo. AT&T is also cheap. But sometimes they get crazy. You can subscribe for StraightTalk or SimpleMobile every month with as low as $30.

Stay away from SPRINT!!! Its not prepaid but postpaid. They will even allow you to call international, but when the bill comes at the end of the month, you will nearly pee your pants. If you're like me who keeps my phone inside the back pockets of my pants and allows the phone to butt-dial sometimes, you're in soup. cheesy Verizon and T-Mobile ain't no better. I wanted to downgrade my monthly payment with T-Mobile because I rarely use my data, wifi is in abundance everywhere, these yeye people no gree. Okay o, lemme downgrade into another thing, no luck. And their 4GLTE will be sucking my 4G allowance anyhow sef.

StraightTalk rides on AT&T network; but its cheaper than AT&T (an AT&T has one of the best coverage in America). SimpleMobile and MetroPCS rides on T-Mobile Network, but they're cheaper than T-Mobile. It even allows you to text international for free. T-Mobile no dey gree me text international.

For International calling cards, don't go near Rebtel. They're thieves. Use Boss Revolution. Its cheaper. Don't blame me, I'm a broke college girl cheesy
LMAO... Butt-dialing!!!
Plz try and "butt-dial" me one of this days.

zeezahbee: if you flying qatar or emirates, just leave like 3-4hrs, those 2 flights land even few minutes ahead of time. So if you landing JFK by 1pm, you can book a connecting flight for 5pm
Thanks for that bit of info Zee. grin

stevecrun: this days everybody wants to be in the arts or sciences in a college.

Bro,nobody wants to be a pilot again..cos of the number of big birds either dropping from the skies or just getting lost to God knows where.
That's a lie and you know it.
Plane dropping/disappearing hasn't stopped people from flying anymore than it has stopping people from becoming a pilot.

We all know the real reason why young people don't wana be a Pilot.

College ain't fun mehn... A lot of students are just forced to go through that route.
