zeezahbee: because the school noticed she has another plan, that's why I keep telling people here that if they wanna transfer, they should inform both schools yet. land first and they wont have choice than to transfer you. she prolly told them her tuition aint complete and they felt shes bad market. anything you wanna tell your school, land first, even if you don't have all the money, they will give you a payment plan

pixietop: Good day, I am planning on attending Northwestern University this fall. I have a very rich immigration history and so also does my wife. We both currently have the B1/B2 visa. Our Visa interview(mine F1, hers F2) is for the 7th of August. My company intends on sponsoring me for the trip, I have a board resolution that says that and another covering letter that explains why. I have their six months bank statement, incorporation documents and a cheque for my complete tuition.
We have our I-20s(the two of us), Sevis proof of payment, accommodation deposit, admission letter and my statements that more than covers my wife's expense.

Please have I left anything out.
Yes God's approval!!!
That's the most important.

Graviton2: Thanks, bro. From what I have gathered, all we need is a new i-20 and we are good to go.

The highlighted is a bonafide fact.
But what do you intend doing with the new i20... how you gonna fight back?

domex007: Did the machine for printing visa spoil?
If I may ask self, where do they print this visa, is it in the embassy or where?
They are supposed to have like two or three machines for printing visa, just incase one get damaged..
Bros calm down... it's not about printing the visas... Your info has to be uploaded on a database so it can be verified from anywhere in the world. Systems have to be up and running to be able to complete the process.

Exercise some patience!

Joenice: He, not she. Some people go abroad without putting funds into consideration. how are you today?
These things happen... Could be crazy.
But there's always a solution to problems.
Even financial ones.

Graviton2: She had the money at the time, but something happened and her family used the money. The school is not okay with instamental payments.
Has she deferred before?
Because I find it difficult to believe this school would be this mean to her.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 9:00pm On Jul 29, 2014
Graviton2: Okay. What she wants to know is: Will cancellation of her i-20 stop her from entering into the US with her visa and another school i-20 next year, she is trying to get a full scholarship from another school?

She is still in Nigeria.
Truth is, it's almost certain the next VO she'll meet will wana know what happened. I suggest she continues with the truth. If peradventure her i20 is cancelled and she gets a full scholarship to another college. Telling the VO the entire truth may be her best bet.
She should table it before God. He owns the world and it's fullness thereof.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 8:50pm On Jul 29, 2014
Joenice: My only fear is that if she allows the university to cancel her I-20 and report to Homeland Department afterwards, it's definitely sayonara for her.
That's my fear too.
Can't she pay part? Or something?

Graviton2: Beats me. They told her "No" that if she isn't there by fall this year they will cancel her i-20 and report her to immigration.
I wonder what the bad blood is about.
This won't be good at all if she doesn't meet up. Has she tried contacting another school?
Isn't it against the law to try to keep her in their against her will?

rosybabyy: @ stewee and others thanks for your different responses. I can get an introduction letter from my coy to the embassy and my leave certificate but is it necessary to let the comp know what I am using my leave for since I am sponsoring myself?
I know you might not want to let your company know but because of the content of the letter they would have to know.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 9:11am On Jul 29, 2014
Graviton2: Alright. Thanks a lot. She asked her school to defer her admission to the next year and the school declined vehemently
This is crazy.
Why would they decline?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by Stewee(m): 9:05am On Jul 29, 2014
rosybabyy: @stewee, thanks for the encouraging response; I stated my status in in my earlier post if u check well. My company only sponsor those already in the department. I don't see anything wrong with a hardworking lady trying to improve herself I have seven years experience, I have and I have saved enough to run this programm. God should let his will be done in my life smiley
Its nothing.
I don't see anything wrong too but convincing a VO could be another entirely.
Have you gotten a school? You should be applying for a M1 visa.

You should have these documents...

Annual or study leave letter.
A cover letter from your company.
Statement of Account
I20
Admission letter
Sevis Reciept
Other supporting documents to show home ties.

Once you have this, you are ready to hit the embassy. Make sure you have a 30day period in between interview day and resumption day.

Then we can help you with possible questions and answers.

All the best!

Idazbawz: can u share your age range??
My 3days experience at the embassy-- they've never approved a training visa... Consulars frown at it.

If you are not dat old, I'd advice you go through school, prolly MSC....

I have someone dat shares your profile, with his invitation letter from d sch n his wealth, he still finds it difficult to get an approved visa...

I'm not discouraging u tho... Ori yato work

My 2 kobo
Quite the contrary... I know 3poeple who got their US visa on their first try and going for the same Dispatch course and they all work for either an airline aviation handling company.
Your case will make a lot of sense if your company is in the whole story. Package yourself well and the visa is yours.

rosybabyy: I would like to know the likelyhood of being granted a usa visa. I am a single lady working in an airline. This is my first time of applying for a visa. I planned to travel for course in flight dispatch around November this year. I am sponsoring myself. its a six weeks course and intend to use my annual leave for the course the total expenses is about N1500,000 and I have a fixed deposit of N2,500,00. Would I be needing any letter from my employer if yes which documents exactly? Please fast response would be appreciated.
Yes I believe you do.
Do you intend to work in the same airline after your course?
If you do you'll need to get an official letter from them stating they'll offer you your job back and even promote you(To show you have strong oversea ties). You didn't mention if you was married or not.
Be ready to explain to a VO how this course is gonna affect your career positively.
