The APC has been consistent in saying that thePDP. has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years inwhich.corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery.and several ills of society held sway. But a very.close look at the APC, I am seeing Amaechi -8yrs.speaker; 7yrs governor under PDP, Atiku - 8yrsVice.president under PDP, Akume -8yrs governorunder.PDP, Bukola Saraki - 8yrs governor; 2yrs Senator.under PDP, Timipre Sylver -4yrs governor under.PDP, Audu Ogbe - 2yrs chairman of PDP, Aminu.Masari - 4yrs Reps speaker under PDP, ChrisNgige.- 3yrs governor under PDP, Kwankwaso - 7yrs.governor, 3yrs Defense minister under PDP, El-Rufai - 4yrs FCT minister, 2yrs BPE chairmanunder.PDP, Oyinlola, 7 and half years governor under.PDP, Segun Oni, 3 and half years governor under.PDP, and to cap it all they went to OBJ begging,a.man who they claimed spent 8 of the disastrous16.yrs as the maximum ruler of Nigeria to come and.lead them on a rescue mission. It is now clearer.that APC is a waste basket of the PDP, wherethe.people who created and perpetuated the "16.Disastrous years" are now dumped. Please Nigerians what is the change in this APC? Ijebulogic: So, you mean, C in C is no longer a party man? Oh! He is not a candidate for an election? Maybe, you feel it is illegal, the donations for an election. Let me educate you a bit, even though the OP has tried to by citing various sections of the law as regards what you just read. GEJ or C in C as you call him has the right to source for fund to effectively pursue his re-election. As painful as it may be that we are crying for a better nation. It's still unfortunate that people/groups donating are the ones that will most likely reap from his govt, if he succeeds. See, because we like referring to the norms in other climes as a yard stick; I'll now say that Presido BO of the US did go from state to state for contribution towards his election, so please, use a better logic to look at things, even when you may oppose him and not Ijebu logic. Well, I believe that some of those that claim groups are individual, circumventing the law to achieve their aim and a system like Nigeria's can't trace such funds. That's the bad part and I pray for an equal or a powerful house with opposition majority to come up from 2015, so as to get whoever wins as President to be on his toe or risk impeachment. That's my reply for your post!!! |

onatisi: @Graham and Onatisi: You guys are really on point. I bet you, there are so many other like minds who no longer feel safe to contribute, albeit only on nairaland, meaningful and constructive contribution/criticism, without having the fears that they will be insulted. As such, only the topic is viewed and it ends there. To say the least, it's a pity that our generation of youths is like this. But, I know there's hope somewhere...maybe, the very insignificant percentage of people with proper thinking will someday come to the limelight. We shouldn't just lose hope but do our best in our little corners. Nobody is against people with opposing views here. I personally welcome criticism, but only if it's constructive enough and not destructive. This is because, I believe all can't always answer 'aye' or 'nay'. But, when insults, even with least or no provocation is the order of every thread here...it's rather pitying. There will always be conspiracy theories about US. Ofcourse, they operate a policy of interest, so it would be of the interest of any allied nations to watch very closely and do what's needful and beneficial to her people. I hope we could follow accusations towards our government with both constructive criticism and better solution suggested OR support their right or seemingly right actions for the betterment of this supposed GIANT of Africa. omenka: I scoff, when I went through your comment. Atleast, you do try at times to be non-partisan in making them. But, sometimes you still give others a reason to think you are. Yeah! Intelligence gathering is the keywords...I will tell you an experience, even though it may seem generalized. I happened to have discussed with a relation, who was re-posted back to Ph from Taraba state. A police officer, whom I met with two of his colleagues. Our discussion centered on this same "planting of mole" and his response was that the force have been doing their best, but most officers had to resign from the force because of such postings cum mole planting attempt. That they prefer to rely on the local hunters and vigilantes. Also, that their training has been so limited when it comes to handling such job...cutting the long gist short; the officers don't always appreciate such jobs. Coming back to your statement regarding them being used by someone who wants to retain power by all means. I wish, these things weren't so, but what do you expect from politicians?? I bet you, if you were a politician, you'll do whatever to remain in office. I am smiling as I make this statement because I expect you to say, "you're different". Well, I have heard that since when I was playing school politics and believe me, only 5% of cases do prove me wrong. This is because, when you are on sit...it looks so exhalted that you feel if you don't retain it, you're falling so low. I tell you, it's always a "I" thing, before a "we" consideration. Well, I join you in praying for peace in Nigeria. And I mean Nigeria, not SS,SE,SW,NC,NE,NW-Nigeria, where anybody can aspire to better the life of all... This response is tailored to Omenka's comment and only is response is expected, if necessary. Anybody who feels offended, should please ignore. Thanks |

baLLoTBOxX: My friend...sorry about the pains and disappointment you may have experienced under the government of GEJ. You have the right to vent your frustrations, ofcourse you do. But, hold the so-called western leaders to be accountable. Some of the names you mentioned, Bankole, Etteh et al. Did GEJ put them there? You seem to forget that OBJ had his hands on their becoming who they where!! Come on! Are you seriously saying that even with the divisive nature of our persons, regions and political views, that this man has done "NOTHING" good that you've heard, even if you've not seen? Well, I myself do agree he has perform so below par and I continue to highlight these, whenever opportune to. My friend, we can only claim not to be tribalistic when we have left our kins and have settled in other part of Nigeria, even if for a year. Atleast, then we'll understand the feelings and reasoning of this entity called Nigeria. If you haven't, then sorry to say, you will never have a better scope of what other regions yearn of or think like. So, for emphasis, I dare say that GEJ, given a conducive and supportive environment, without no negative distracting interference from me, you, "god-fathers", miscreants, etc, can perform better than he has done. I so submit with the hope that you've drop your emotions and argue factually against any of my statements and not resort to abuses... Meanwhile, Yoruba Tribe will still vote for Jonathan, so when you say "we", I think its a fallacy. Cheers and have a beautiful weekend! |

soroptimist: You are so funny. Your submission is equally lacking informed facts and devoid of bias. Well, you do have your opinion to make and as such, I can only say, "always try not to be biased when you want to analyze issues"n except you are an opposition to the man. Then your biased can be excused!!! |

corperscorner: Hello, stop spewing what you aint sure about. My questions for you: Are you aware that due to the so-called intelligence tip-off by the police, where they derived reason for their actions-that HOUR Members where screened into the premises, and that APC members perceived that Aminu won't be allowed in, as such, they decided to wait and go in with him? 2-Are you aware that David was equally checked before going in. Guy, I am a Pro-Jona; so, a lot of irregularities going on during his administration is appalling and very disappointing but guess what, i prefer to watch the individual and not the followers. Even as I hate his silence on many wrong ctions in his dispensation, I chose to keep mute esp when it involves Politics, where we have "honourables" resorting to self-help, with so numerous excuses to back their actions...my Guy, Police have never disappoint me in their "actions", because I always expect our Police to misbehave...But, I'll stress that no reason could've warranted the actions of some of the members of HR. I must say, politicians and their ways...smh Anyway, we all have our reasons for taking our sides and as far as politics is involved, I don't expect anything less. Just go and register, get your valid cards and come out to vote your prefered candidate on Feb... I sure will cast mine! God Bless Nigeria and may we get it right someday soon!!! |

phantom: Phantom, u r more a brother to me than any other...so I find peace in saying that the last time I checked, u r still in Naija...at least, we will get there, where these kind of threats do not just go unnoticed by authorities required to prosecute such peeps. But, always attributing every rascality in the country, when good developments are not acknowledged to be from GEJ is where my grouse will always be. Ask Keyamo, how he got personal contacts of Tompolo...if he never had dealings with him. Listen, we cry foul a lot when things don't go our way here. Other times, where Keyamo wines and dines with Tompolo... U and I never had opportunity to know, so tell him to STFU at this time and go settle their grouses...yeah! I said so, because he now is at the other end of the gun. 2 Likes |

I only felt some balanced news will carry a little, albeit the number of casualties from thee hunters may be insignificant, but state d fact... Ofcourse, BH should equally knw a little of the environs. Kudos to them, if its true, but shame on those thinking they will succeed to rubbish our Military guys... |
