Forum Games / Re: How Smart Are You ? Is This Murder Or Suicide ? by Stoical: 6:29pm On Feb 25, 2016
AlexCk:
The truth is one can never know whether its a murder or a suicide, one needs to be on that crime scene and analyse every possible angle, look for clues, analyze whether she was the one that wrote the suicide note(if that's a suicide note). compare the writing with her other writings, if it's really her handwriting, check for tensions and strokes of each letters.

Also, one can analyze by acting out the scene. This means, the various positions she could have been to have the blood spatter on the wall if its murder or suicide. Also, checking for GSR(gun shot residue) , now when one fires a gun, there's always gsr on the person. Also there seems to be a struggle in the room. Could be herself (maybe she was deranged, sooo u need to perform an autopsy) or could also be murder.

Lots of things come to mind. But for u to solve a mystery or a crime, u need to be in the crime scene to analyze n pick up clues. You cnt just solve it by pix except say u be SSA Spencer Reid (from criminal minds) or Detective Man Taylor (Csi :NY), or D. b Cooper (CSI las vegas) or Horatio (CSI: miami)
grin grin

Liking your reasoning...I mean, the fact that one has to be at the crime scene to be able to pick out evidences/clues. When I looked at the scene, first thing I w as looking out for was 1-Point of bullet entry(which this pix did not give me). 2-The murder/suicide weapon(which is in the victim's hand). 3-the positioning of the victim(pix showed that). 4-the time of the day, the crime was comited(not explained in the pix)reason for considering this is; the table lamp wasn't plucked to the socket, so I guess it was during the day, however, the time is still necessary, as the lamp was just facing the writeup. 5-pattern of blood splash(that would explain closeness of the crime weapon and its direction). 6-cigarette in his/her hand (an abnormer)

I bet these clues would've gotten me a definitive case solution...however, I will call this a MURDER, with the few clues I can gather from the pix...

Please, how can I approach this? I do a lot of business transactions and do get alert with regards any business that might come up. This, I do using my subscription lines. MTN has often been my main line, which my clients are on...

I subscribed for BB absolute plan, which is to expire on 15th March...that was on 7th of Feb. After 2 days, MTN deactivated me from browsing network...each time I call their Customer care, different people with their "sorry for the inconveniences". It continue same for more than 10days. Now the subscription came this morning and no compensation of any kind. I called back their Customer service...all the guy could tell me was, "I am sorry for the inconveniences"

Almost 2weeks of browsing gone...please is this scam meted to others? What should I do? Please, don't tell me sue them, as I can't afford a SAN...

Hello Sir, I really feel terrible about your experience. But reason again, like you said, the lady from STV said instructions where for those on the ground floor to be served, I presume first probably before going up. Or do you want to tell he that they wanted to take their "palm oil rice" back home - to do what?
You said the caterer used was hired by the senator's wife (how did you get this privilege info?)

Yeah, Don Dee may be right, as all politicians will always do things in a political way...so, where did the man actually direct the organizers to treat students badly

Glad it's your opinion but I beg to differ.

1. They do not NEED to be told to do the needful. If they are TRULY information based STUDENTS then where was there instinctive initiative and drive? Telling them CLEARLY to report the event would have made their report SOCIALLY UNAUTHENTIC.

2. The OP put his job chances at stake when he naively took to the social media to ATTACK and call for MASS HATE against a man that gave him an opportunity which he never EARNED. (4 out of 5 employers are likely to checkout your social online behavior prior to giving you a job). And I assume someone like you won't want someone like op in your company - unless he changes his attitude.

3. And who says that a smart communication student cannot sieze that rare opportunity to make a lasting impression on, say, one of the VIPs?

4. Of course, I'm talking about Ben finding time to party with this particular group of students if they had been smart enough to help him promote his book instead LEECHING for a royal treatment with ZERO value adding initiative.

5. You sure do not expect a student body to sit around the same table with senators and other VIPs in that kind of event, do you? Besides, to me, the sitting arrangement was very normal it's just wrong thinking that's giving it negative interpretation.

@Paschu...it is very unfortunate what this country is turning into...social media in a way has made our student/prospective applicants to forget some basic things about life.

I want to believe, aside from feeling pained, that some, if not all of these students didn't go out there with good intentions. Because, I can not understand why Silverbird company will invite you to an event, where their logistics wasn't as you expected and you refused to channel your grievances to them through your student Rep. Rather, you set out to spoil someone's day, and when the person couldn't respond immediately, you went to social media with slanderous statements...

You now become bold enough to append your name as the writer(it is very wrong)...

Nurses even have better and more off duties. How many do doctors have? As a doctor, you work all thru the day, do midnight call and still work the second day. How many nurse ever do that? Even during the day, it's 2 shifts for nurses.

And for closing early, that happens mostly with consultants. CNOs and matrons also close for the day only to return next day. No night shift.

So long as you are thinking "revenge" you are just setting yourself up to repeat your woes, because you are not learning from your mistakes.

The man (boy?) solved the problem of where to live by riding rough shod over his girlfriend of 4 years. How did she stay with him for 4 years and not know that that is his nature?

Answer:

It was in her nature, too. Over the 4 years, when she saw him riding rough shod over other people, alarm bells didn't begin to ring, because she is the same. It was in the nature of both of them from the beginning, so they couldn't see anything to worry about in each other.

Then, at some point he does it to her. She responds by trying to ride rough shod over him.

It is the same with women who go with violent men. These women are violent, and they get their boyfriends to be threatening or act out their violence for them. All the warning signs are there, but they can't see anything wrong, because violence is ok with them, until their boyfriend turns round and does it to them.

But many are so blinded by feelings of revenge that they don't learn their lesson, that it is their own behaviour coming back to bite them. They think it starts with the partner. But, until they learn, they will continue to attract the same kind of partner or become totally disillusioned with relationships.
my dear, how are you...long time...so, you de folo this movie...lol

Events / Ongoing Breaking News: Huge Inferno In Dubai Address Hotel - Photos by Stoical: 8:13pm On Dec 31, 2015
The tallest building in the word, The Address Hotel in Dubai is under a very uncontrollable fire as we speak. It is so sad that such could happen at this day of the year, especially when there's supposed to be numerous guest in it.

No life reportedly lost at the moment...

A massive fire broke out Thursday night at the high-end Address hotel in downtown Dubai, the government of the United Arab Emirates' most populous city said.

Video showed orange tentacles of flames swirling up the outside of several stories at the high-rise hotel's midsection.

As many as four crews of firefighters are battling the blaze, the government said. Early reports from Dubai authorities said the fire started on the 20th floor .

Yeah! True...before you start judging, let's understand the background of this. I met this gal on Facebook, we became chatting mates, from there to friends...We both were having frosty relationships, so we decided to break up with our former friends and date. In a matter of months, we planned and met, then she visited weeks later. Being that we were emotionally involved via "blue/green tooth" we do...

Now, 1 year on, we are getting married in less than 3week's time...
- We found ourselves to be compatible and equally share 60% of visions.

Education / Why Do People Complain Of Hardship In January? by Stoical: 1:06pm On Dec 18, 2015
Disclaimer: I am not an academician neither am I a qualified financial advisor.

Let's try and reason together, with regards to the reasons why people complain of hardship in January. Probably this discussion may help us to plan well enough to avoid the often occurrence.

But first, this is my take;
- In Nigeria, most often, salaries are paid at the last week of every month, though payment do come earlier in some festive months, December being one of such months.
- This income is supposedly meant to be spent on our needs as may arise in the preceding months...however, debt do make people seem to spend fractions of their income before the beginning of the next month.
- Some people will bask in the air of celebration in months like December, as such spend heavily...probably to meet up to expectations of relatives/friends, which might be necessary or merely a show-off.

Having state these points, one can then say that it is possible to avoid the unnecessary hardship that often is self-inflicted during the month of January. How? By Planing and Prudent Spending.

Let's say that our monthly pay do come regularly at the last week of every month, and we did live within our means without owing anyone. Planning to meet up our relatives/friends expectations should be moderated to fit in with our income as well as budgeting on our expenses for the next month,

Why spend 60-70k of your 100k salary in a space of 8 days, when you still have about 28-30 days of the next month to spend in. We should rather budget for January first, and what is left can then be spend during the Dec festive period.
Sometimes, people feel that they can go borrowing in January, when the next person might be as broke as they are...

Cutting my long epistle short, I summarise by saying that, If we budget for January first before spending our December income within a week will certainly limit the usual complain of hardship in January. Noting that most often January pay do come a bit late.

Compliment of the season folks...

Kudos to Madam Oby. Her patriotism and commitment to good governance is never in doubt. Her principled stand on accountability and transparency coupled with her agitation for the release of Chibok girls shows she's a very noble woman. She's unlike the former finance minister who would rather look away when her friends were looting the country dry. It's just unfortunate that some misguided youths have joined the thieving political elites of the last regime to attack her. This woman should be celebrated for standing with the Nigerian people against GEJ's rogue regime. She has now been vindicated and I pray she will recover all what she lost to that struggle.

There are things we do in life, sometimes well-intentioned, yet the manner in which we carry on with it gives a very wrong interpretation by some persons... The fight for the Chibok girls was more political than normal, at least for peeps like Oby who constantly was against GEJ administration. I feel so because they were always on the news, which was good for the course but the waning speed their actions have taken is so apologetic and I believe it's one of the reason the whole world no longer show their support...I stand on the initial mandate of BBOG and not the now scam OGASM(our girls are still missing)...

Moral lesson : When you fight a course, take it to a logical conclusive end, irrespective of the nature of the environment and complain not for such rewards are from God and not man.

xhamel89:

What kind of bible do you read? Nowadays people are lazy to read their bibles. Some even read it as novel, giving it their own interpretations. How can you say wedding is unbiblical and unchristian? I am very sure you did not read any bible rather you just write based on what you feel. Feeling can deceive but God's word standeth sure. The first wedding was conducted by God himself between Adam and Eve. It does follow that God's people should wed before God representatives. When the bible says who soever God has join together let no man put asunder" was he saying this for saying sake. It's totally wrong and a curse to mislead people based on spiritual matters. May God forgive you. (Amen).

Response like most of the ones I read here makes me just to read along and get myself amused these days in naira land...however, I must join this line of discussion (hoping u won't proclaim curse on me, as u may think I am trying to mislead others on spiritual matters)...
1- Is wedding (which means marriage) ever mentioned to be done in the church or synagogue? By Moses, Samuel, Jesus or even the apostles?
2- can u explain comprehensively how God carried out the first wedding? 2b) then, are you God(don't quote the "we are children of God and as such we r god" me).
3- the joining is a spiritual thing, which even you may not have an insight on. So is the saying "he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtaineth favour from the Lord" and "a man shall leave his father and mother and join with his wife and they shall become one" are spiritual conceptions that requires spiritual insight

I believe that church "marriage'' is a celebration which should be an individual choice and not a forced rule in a church...my believe.

But then again, for those that argue against church wedding as not being biblical, and as such shouldnt be compulsory, what do you think about CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF CHRIST...#CHRISTMAS? would you also jettison the celebration because it ain't biblical...or is it?

Yesterday, a blossom friend was just calling me for so long as if he works for MTN. This is because he got 10000 naira just for adding few info to his bio data.

Pardon me for sounding so jealous but it is unfair to other patriotic MTN customers who did what was right earlier...shouldn't they be rewarded with at least double the amount too?
