Since Buhari is president and not Jonathan, I predict 30yrs.

Even Jim Nwobodo that stole money ($5m) not enough to buy Peugeot, got over 20yrs in Buhari's 1st coming.

I'm sure Nwobodo has a word of advice for the accused.

Is the topic and title not befitting of the culture section?

I am not surprised this happened in the East.

What many have not considered is if there's an occultic reason behind this action. What would have happened if she was buried in a regular casket? He might die prematurely or this action might even be a ploy to increase his wealth.

Eze-ego comes to mind.

I think they are also British by place of birth. Their mum is not Nigerian, but not sure of the nationality.

The sister has a divorce settlement case in the British court with ex-husband Michael Prest, who is claiming that his wealth is actually for his Itsekiri extended family and he is just a custodian.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Is Turning Nigeria To A Fascist State -balarabe Musa by StOla: 9:17am On Dec 09, 2015
This man, just like Fasehun of the OPC, is yet to come to terms with the fact that he could not add any political support to Jonathan's destined failure at the polls.

He is still wailing, but unlike Jonathan who would try to buy the support of his critics, Buhari has learnt to be positively driven by criticism, so nothing for Musa.

He even admits that he supported an incompetent government.
Foreign AffairsRe: Muslims Storms Donald Trump's Old Neighborhood, Say Get To Know Us by StOla: 10:22pm On Dec 08, 2015
I think Donald Trump is the force the Muslims in America have been waiting for to do some introspection and weed out the terrorist cells in their midst.

I am no fan of political correctness. For nations like America and the West, a Muslim immigrant today is a potential cultural trouble tomorrow, if it doesn't escalate into terrorism.

I am an advocate of behaving like the Romans when in Rome.

Free speech must never be silenced to cater for religious sympathies. Freedom for all must be enforced in a republic irrespective of whatever archaic cultural heritages an immigrant imports into his new society.

I have no sympathies for America, France, UK or Germany. Their injuries are self inflicted and political correctness would be the very cause of the chaos they're trying to avoid.

Do I think the religion inspired violence in those countries would abate? No! It has only started, and every Muslim immigrant is a potential sleeper cell to be activated from the outside by the right circumstances.

They will never be patriotic. This is the lesson moderates in such countries only learn at a funeral.

As for Muslim converts that are citizens with national heritage, their patriotism has not been questioned by their actions yet, but immigrants are nothing but Greek gifts.

Theo van Gogh was killed by a Moroccan Dutch on the streets of Amsterdam. He thought he was safe in his own country where freedom was an abundant right. Yet a fatwa issued in faraway Iran was enough to activate a supposed fellow Dutch country man to carry out his religious obligation.
As he rode his bicycle on the peaceful streets to his office, Theo van Gogh forgot that not all Dutch were truly Dutch, and not all men have a heritage of freedom.

Nnamdi Kanu's case is a matter for the law courts. Don't hold your breath expecting a political solution, as Nigeria is willing to prove that the country is not a zoo as would be confirmed by a political solution to a criminal matter.

Be ready with your lawyers and put up a strong defence. Hopefully the judge would find Mr Director worthy of Nigeria's mercy if he shows any spirit of patriotism to the motherland, and direct him to a light jail term.
Foreign AffairsRe: Even There Are Muslims in VATICAN! by StOla: 9:50pm On Dec 08, 2015
OP kindly rephrase your reference to Adolf Hitler as a Roman Catholic.

Yes Hitler was Austrian and naturally born to a Catholic family. He never had any religious affiliation in his adult life, nor did he ascribe his race supremacy ideology to a religious belief or crusade. He never shouted "to God be the glory" for his atrocities.

You can however mention that the German who saved as many Jews as possible, Oskar Schindler, was also Austrian and naturally born to a Catholic family. He was known to be mildly religious and was recognised with the award of a papal knighthood for his efforts in sheltering as many Jews as he could in his factory, during the terror of the irreligious Hitler.

The question I objectively want you to answer is , which government will oversee the said probe? Is it the same government that discouraged Fashola from appearing before a constitutionally approved panel or the one that is gagging opposition?

The simple truth is that nobody is taking Sai Baba seriously again. A government of falsehood.
This is not a probe panel or an inquiry, this is a criminal case and suspects will be charged to court in due time. The courts will oversee this, and justice will be dispensed with fury.

Then you will beg Sai Baba to become less serious.

There you go again , as NSA he had a budget like Fashola as the governor of Lagos and however he ran that budget is left for him to explain to the authorities. I have never heard where GEJ place a gun on his head to disburse, in a manner that ran contrary to law.
I remember that Dokpesi's camp has already said they presented a proposal to the government. What the prosecution would help reveal is who approved the proposal? Who directed the NSA to make disbursements of budgeted defence funds to a media company for electioneering purposes? Which candidate was the beneficiary of such media political campaigns? Lastly, by whose authority did the NSA get funds in excess of budgetary provisions?

kingdompropty:
Rules of engagement changes depending on the party in power, if you stole and helped the government in power one way or the other, your sins are forgiven the day government is formed.

I was ashamed the day I watched Fashola tell the senate he doesn't sign cheques when asked what he knows about his phantom stealing of Lagos funds, he went ahead to keep four big ministers - Lesson, steal but remain in the good books of the government of the day.

As much as I know GEJ as a gentle man that found himself in government, no wonder he has continued to impress and stand shoulders to shoulders with the Obamas of this world and Merkels of this world, the question is what will PMB be remembered for- Impunity, Lies and denials, Economic hardship for his people and Draconian rules. The saying goes that A mans destiny be known from his steps as a child.

The last time I checked, APC is the party in power now, but they have continued to behave like the opposition blaming PDP for all their misfortune.

Fuel sell for 150 - PDP.

Dollar is 250 - PDP.

November salaries not paid - PDP.

Insecurity - PDP.

Biafra agitation - PDP.

Inconclusive elections in two small states - PDP.

The list is endless.

In a few days , workers will be ready to shop for Christmas , thesame workers that put him there, no salary to shop with. Also in a a few months they would mark one year as a government, the only achievement is PDP this and that. Hmmmmm.
Nobody is accusing Fashola of spending money without a budget, or spending already budgeted fund on an entirely different purpose.
Whether website or borehole, all were duly budgeted for after passing through the right and established channels of procurement and services duly executed as per contract terms.

Concerning arms budget of the Jonathan regime, kindly tell us what NSA defence funds was doing with the likes of Dokpesi for media and publicity? Also tell why some of the funds were sourced outside budgetary provisions?

silva win southern ijawhuh D zone of former gov aleimesiyah who was killed by APChuh *laughing in dog language*
People who reason like you are a nuisance that every democracy must seek to defeat in the course of political campaigns.

How was Alamieyesiegha killed by APC?
Was it APC that impeached him, and prosecuted/convicted him?
Was it APC that made him jump bail in the UK, thereby ensuring his fugitive status everywhere in the sane world?
Was is APC that refused to build decent hospitals in Bayelsa/Nigeria, such that the fugitive ex-governor had to die in a neighbouring state federal teaching hospital without Dubai facilities?

Alamieyesiegha is a convicted criminal who killed himself with the corruption he nurtured. In the end, he suffered the fate he had condemned every regular Bayelsan to - a lack of infrastructure to cater for the needs of the citizens.

As for you, sorry is not enough to describe my sympathy for your mindset.

ShowYourCertificate:
True, you can win in only one LGA and win the election on the overall. But that is only possible via rigging.

Southern Ijaw isn't Sylva's power base. Some parts of Brass is. Don't post wrong information here.

Keep dreaming. PDP has won in 6 LGAs, including Yenagoa (which is a neutral territory). They will win Southern Ijaw in a free and fair election.

So you expect PDP to fold it's arms when APC thugs were busy rigging the polls there andbin the midst of midnight voting? You must be kidding.

I agree with you 100% on this. That's why iNEC did the right thing by cancelling the results from Southern Ijaw
Note that I said Sylvia's plan includes winning Southern Ijaw, but the power base description was made while referring to APC as a party.

It is noteworthy that the running mate, state party chairman, and even the federal minister amongst other party stalwarts are from Southern Ijaw local government.

I still maintain that no matter what, APC will win the local government, but will the win be high enough to win the election?
PoliticsRe: #BayelsaDecides: APC Kicks Against INEC’s Cancellation Of Elections by StOla: 8:38am On Dec 08, 2015
ShowYourCertificate:
So APC thought they would win after losing in 6 LGAs. They think they'd rigged themselves with just one LGA remaining. They think Bayelsans are fools. They think Bayelsans are dullards like Buhari. They thought wrong.

You can't win an election by winning 2 LGAs and losing 6 LGAs. Unless ofcourse if you want to rig heaven and earth in those 2 LGAs grin
You can win an election by winning 1 local government convincingly and losing decently in others. All that is required is overall majority votes and 25% performance in 2/3 local governments.

Sylvia's game plan has always been to win Brass and Southern Ijaw. What remains to be seen is how much of a win APC can achieve there which seem to be their power base. It is my belief that no matter the number of times the election is held there, APC will always win in that local government.

PDP has already played its home game and leads with about 34K votes, yet it remains worried knowing that an upturn of that lead is possible at Southern Ijaw.

What is pertinent is that the true votes of the electorate should count.

THE BAYELSA ELECTION, A LESSON FOR THE IGBOS:
I have been following events in the Bayelsa state since Saturday and I think it's high time we Igbos woke up and learn our lessons. What is happening in Bayelsa state shows that the Bayelsans have moved on. They are no longer tied to the apron of PDP and GEJ. That state is one of the smallest states in the country and it's the home state of the former president (GEJ), yet the result of the election held since Saturday have not been announced officially till now. I thought the PDP would have swept off the whole votes just like they did during the presidential election, but to my amazement the APC is also gathering considerable votes there. I know PDP may eventually emerge winner in the election, but my point is that we Igbos should wake up and stop crying more than the bereaved cos even the bereaved have moved on.
Other regions have moved on and have even started integrating themselves into this PMB administration to ensure they remain relevant and not schemed out if things, while some of my people are still holding themselves down and throwing hate speeches here and there.
Other region are already preparing for 2019, some are already gearing up for 2023, while my people have failed to arise and shake off GEJ and his failed administration. By 2019 now, we will begin to run helter-skelter and start last minute preparation and when we loose again, we will say we are hated by others but we forget that we are the ones holding ourselves down now that others are already preparing ahead.
The Igbos have enjoyed more "juicy" appointments in the past 16 years of this democratic dispensation, yet none of the appointees or elected officials performed exceptional well for us to present him/her as presidential candidate. But look at the likes of Fashola, Fayemi, Kwakwanso, El Rufai, etc they are all potential presidential candidates going forward cos their achievements speak for them. Tell me the achievements of. Orji Uzor Kalu, T.A Orji, Sam Egwu, Chimaroke Nnamani, Mbadinuju, etc.... none of them made a mark in their various states, yet we leave them and keep pointing fingers to other regions and saying they are our problem.
I advise we wake up and begin to align ourselves strategically with other region now cos we can never produce a president in this country if we continue like this.
While some misguided elements are busy shouting Biafra, and claiming that South south is part of their Biafra, the southsouth have denounced the whole Biafra thing publicly and I understand that just last weekend, Nyesom Wike of River State, named a stadium in River State after Yakubu Gowon. Does that not tell you somethinghuh?
The golden rule says 'DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WILL LIKE THEM TO DO UNTO YOU'..... Love begat love, hate begat hate. Don't expect love from others when you give them hatred, don't expect them to vote for your candidate when you keep calling them animals that live in the zoo.
"Give and it shall be given unto you" whatever you give to others is what they will give back to you GOOD MEASURES, PRESSED DOWN, SHAKING TOGETHER AND RUNNING OVER.
He who has ears let him hear, Wisdom is profitable to direct.... I rest my case...
