asha80:He can claim any name or Identity, the crux of the matter is that the story sits well with the typical Igbo mindset, and the article truly found an army of hate blinded Igbos already eager to wear the apparel of a victim. Must the Igbos always be the victim of every government policy? Even this particular policy implemented by an Igbo CBN governor? Anything propaganda is OK for them, as long as it would make them hate their eternal enemies the more. |
ernesty20:I believe he just admitted it. OBJ spent 2 terms and Nigeria is still on the world map. Now imagine a better thief doing the same 2 terms? Even IBB declared himself a saint compared to what was happening under Jonathan. |
Eledan:He made it look like only the Igbos are making legitimate economic use of the Dollar in Nigeria. See the summary dismissal he gave the NigerDeltans. The OP made it look like Nigeria is ready to turn its economy to that of Zimbabwe, as long as the Igbos are likely to suffer the most. What manner of people are these? Infact, America dare not tamper with their own currency, else it would be regarded as a deliberate attempt to wage economic warfare against the chosen tribe of God. Economic policies are likely to have demerits, but my economics class did not teach me that only a tribe called Igbo would suffer the demerits. That we all know the above, yet someone would sit in his house to compose the trash on this thread, only shows how some people continue to hold themselves down with mental shackles. Anything propaganda is OK for them, as long as it would make them hate their eternal enemies the more. |
YoruBanger:They should suck it up and stop playing victim on all matters. The recent expose on the composition of the federal civil service is one that belies their constant irritating cry about marginalisation. |
How the Igbos manage to make out every government decision as a hidden agenda to punish them is something that truly baffles me. How do you guys do this shi.t? Is it only Igbos that are studying abroad, or use foreign currency to transact business? When will these self delusions and victim mentality stop for God's sake? |
kITATITA:Their votes were never in doubt. Jonathan knew he could count on them, once he mentions Azikiwe and conclude by saying Buhari jailed Nwobodo over money not enough to buy Peugeot. Even Ohaneze admitted Jonathan was a failure even to the SE, but they will still vote for him. It was the regions of resistance, the North and SW, that needed to be forced into submission with the futile power of the dollars. For the SE, their leaders were too cheap that a bargain was never required. |
Acidosis, whether you like it or not, Buhari will retrieve every penny stolen from our coffers. Even you had better cough out whatever you might have received to always be a defender of thieves who are already confessing. The "perceived corrupt people" are already confessing and cooperating with the relevant agencies, yet you seem bothered and you want to shut them up? Don't you ever get tired of trying to politicize a just struggle to defeat corruption? Tell us what you truly stand to lose in this fight against corruption? You always seem so ruffled whenever positive news emerges on this anti-corruption campaign. |
ayemerbarth:Indeed! |
MizMyColi:The PDP of old? What PDP are the present day supporters of Dokpesi? PDP cannot change from its criminal mafia identify. In due time change will move from the negative axis into the positive axis of the Cartesian. The problem is that your PDP took us as far as an enemy of the state could into the extreme of the negative. We are steadily moving out, but yet to arrive at the origin with a positive outlook. |
MizMyColi:I'm not surprised that you always find your voice on such threads. No exams today? You've craftily avoided threads that discuss how Dollars have been moved out of CBN in suit cases only to end up in the hands of PDP supporters. Don't worry about dividends of democracy now, let us undo the damage done by PDP, then we can proceed towards the promised land. We know that oil is the basis of our economy and the Naira to Dollar rate fell from N160 to N220+ in the regime of your hero. As long as Brent continue to sell below $50/barrel, don't expect any magic that will restore it to N160 to a Dollar as was obtainable when Brent was selling above $100/barrel. In due time, you will be put to shame. |
xtrolse:I'm happy you mentioned Radio Kudirat because it seems the message of your post is just to state that it is the turn of the Igbos to be the mad ones. For your information, Radio Kudirat was a pirate station set up to challenge the military government of Abacha and demand a return to democracy and release of MKO Abiola. Radio Kudirat had Nigerians across tribes as it's facilitator's, having been set up after Kudirat Abiola was killed. Radio Kudirat was not a vehicle to propagate inter-tribal hate. Neither was any of Radio Kudirat or Chanji ever recorded to call the country a zoo or any such profane description You mention Jonathan being ridiculed while he was president. Yes many called him names and I even call him a platinum certified dunce till today and I am vindicated. You would notice that I did not mention the equitable names that Buhari is called like dullard, illiterate etc. What is the meaning that the President is a pedophile or a terrorist? Do you understand what that means? No one is deceived by Jonathan's attempt to keep the mob busy with a circus he termed National Conference. He had said when he resumed his tenure that he did not believe in it, especially as there was a national assembly that had equally reminded all who cared to listen that such was a waste of time that would not be ratified by them. So like OBJ who reneged on his own stance when the PRONACO was to start, Jonathan also conducted his own jamboree destined to fail. A president who failed to implement the reports of committees that he set up like the Ribadu report. You mentioned Lawal Kaita, but forgot to mention that he is a PDP chieftain who made his remarks as a PDP Northerner prior to the party primaries of the PDP. He later went on to take a position in the Jonathan administration. As for political assassinations, whoever initiated and executed such were desperate politicians principally in the South of the country with the victims being primarily members of PDP or the OBJ government. Is it the responsibility of OBJ to tell Rivers people whether to kill their political leaders or not? Or was it the decision of OBJ to eliminate Bola Ige? That politicians kept their cool in the GEJ regime is testament to the fact that power over party structure had changed hands, and the gladiators began to develop a conscience, while intended victims also became more cautious. Concerning the pogroms in the North prior to the war, we all know the the factors that precipitated them. Let those who have an appreciation of history learn from their mistakes, and also learn not to be too stupid to become self destructive. That you continue to regard the Yorubas as back stabbing suggests that you're yet to learn that they do not owe you any loyalty. You have not done anything to merit it and their political destiny is their own preoccupation. Concerning the video of the Northern Premier you continue to rehash, it is evident that he was smart enough to know the limitations of his people and knew they were disadvantaged. He was Premier of the North, not Nigerian Prime Minister. He was doing the same thing every other Premier was doing to favour their region and its people. His people who had no chance of competing in the East and West ought to have their economic security guaranteed back at home. But you wanted to have it all both within your region and outside. That you continue to cry about his opinion about you which was later vindicated by your own actions against him, only suggest that you saw him as a threat just has he equally saw you as a threat. |
kingdompropty:Do not deceive yourself that the brains behind this protests ever wanted it to be peaceful. Infact I believe most are beginning to be irritated at how tactful the government and security forces have been in handling the protests. In truth, they are determined that the protest must lead to an anarchy the whole world would read about. Lives have been lost, but even Ferguson protests in the US had more coverage. A pirate radio station might make inciting statements, but that should not be condoned on a legitimate forum. What is the meaning of "damnable zoological republic" "The president is a pedophile" "Awusa-cattle", "Yoro-bber" Let a pirate radio continue to utter such rubbish until it can be censored, but this will not be repeated on a Nigerian forum. Never! The above quotes are the little I have by just scratching the surface, yet you are claiming human rights while the embers of hatred are fanned steadily till anarchy results. Imagine if those who are at the level of these IPOB youths from other tribes see the stones being thrown in their direction, they will throw bombs back - a reaction being expected by the schemers. Seun has simply excused his forum from being such a platform. A decision well within his rights. |
kingdompropty:Good to know that you are a human rights advocate. Now I ask, is it a strategy of such advocacy to keep quiet and watch as ethnic hostilities continue to rise out of a determined attempt by Biafran apologists to denigrate the country, its goverment, its political leaders, and every Nigerian including Igbos who are not in support of the Biafran cause? Do you expect that harmony is the end result of all the tribal hate and propaganda being advanced on all media available to the Biafrans? Or do you only speak out when anarchy has set as a result of that hate and mischievous propaganda? Is Seun not a patriot and a peacemaker for ensuring his own creation would play no part in the anarchy the Biafrans are passionately spoiling for? Do we as Nigerians not have the right to ensure we no longer serve as the audience for all the hate and profanities being heaped daily on the nation and it's constituent tribes? Who is the defenceless between the man who is at the receiving end of hate and threats but keeps his cool, and the man who has become an irritating nuisance to all and sundry without restraint? Let the Biafrans find another rebellious channel for their outbursts against Nigeria and her citizens. Nairaland remains a pro-Nigerian medium. Lastly, does the ethnic oriented outbursts and threats against Seun on the very thread where he communicated his decision in a civil manner, not suggest that we have been dealing with deranged ethnic maniacs, rednecks and skinheads? Why should such nonsense be tolerated by any sane human being? I certainly refuse to give the Biafran hate my audience. |
Eddygourdo:I concur! |
googlepikin:Has anyone blocked any tribe here? Why is it that even the educated Igbo is still too daft and cannot apply appropriate logic to issues? Nairaland is for all Nigerians regardless of tribe. Seun who is the founder of Nairaland has only said that his forum remains a pro-Nigerian avenue. Therefore, no posts that denigrate Nigeria and Nigerians, or that seek to tear the country apart is welcomed here. So Nairaland says No to Biafra. Biafra can go look for an audience elsewhere, we Nigerians are tired of the hate and petty name calling. Nigeria is an imperfect nation, not a zoo. |
cokoduck:But we Nigerians have heard all you have to say about our tribes and our country. We have heard you enough and we are done listening to the hate you want to propagate. Continue among yourselves to build up the hate that has consumed your souls and deceive yourselves with your own propaganda. Is it by force to beg for a Nigerian audience? Stop begging us to listen and go to where your own are waiting for you. Nairaland remains pro-Nigeria, rebels can find another avenue and another audience to amuse and threaten. |
Lilimax:Indeed! I don’t begrudge him for that. However we knew then and also know better now that the President was a Father Christmas who placed so much hopes in the gifts he gave so generously. Therefore many flocked to his grotto, reeling out all the good deeds they had done or could do to help him win re-election. |
Wow! This is real bad investment by Kanu. Maybe this explains his support for Jonathan, hoping Father Christmas would have some gifts for him this holiday season. Alas, Father Christmas was sacked from office before the gifts could arrive. Kanu must not be allowed to go down like this. He is a national hero, a philanthropist, a legend. |
EasternLeopard:Take my case to the ICC or British parliament. By the way, what is a Biafran like you still doing here? |
hinwazaka:Seun, Mynd44, OAM4J, Lalasticlala. Isn't there something that can be done about this dude who keeps threatening all manner of politicians with death and anarchy? He mentioned that the late Audu was going to pay with his blood for leading in the elections, Audu died hours later. He said Kogites were going to suffer from chaos just for exercising their democratic franchise of voting for the candidate of their choice. Same guy has threatened that IEDs will be placed in the presidents plane to blow him away. Now this, and you all keep tolerating his terror. Are you waiting till the DSS take down this site and quiz you all regarding a threat made here that was later executed as detailed? I wonder what the DSS is also doing not identifying this threat and checkmating it? |
He remembered that Buhari no be Jonathan. |
Falana remarked: ”The Federal Government has a record of $2 billion recovered Abacha loot, but our former minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala claimed that only $500 million have been recovered. To help her, the World Bank has just issued a report, a package of lies, a 700-page report to say that this $500 million that was recovered under her watch was judiciously spent and they have listed roads that were not even in existence in Nigeria that were tarred. We are taking them on, and this will be the last time the World Bank will tell lies about this country.I have maintained that Nigeria must never allow all the Bretton Woods institutions to have any say over who directs our ministry of finance or budget. They are nothing but saboteurs. |
ELTON123:The Scots are not denigrating Britain as a zoo, or calling the Prime Minister or Monarchy all sorts of vile names. They are not boasting to turn Britain into a place worse off than Somalia. They are not embarking on a campaign of hate against the other constituent parts of Britain. That you did not observe this difference in approach is because you are black too. Civilisation was a gift your tribe got from the colonialists. It is yet to become genetic. |
How this man managed to isolate his soul from the infectious Nigerian corruption is still a mystery. Many who feel threatened that a Nigerian could be this upright, would soon come here to declare that how dare he pretend to be a saint. These people have always known corruption to be a Nigerian way of life. Their fathers and mothers are beneficiaries of the corrupt system, and woe betide that leader who would dare to deny them of their corruption priviledges. Sai Baba, call on me. I am willing to quit my life of luxury from honest earnings to come pursue corrupt men and women to the end of this world. Even into hell, to retrieve them for a Nigerian judgement that many have escaped in the years when the presidency was the greatest promoter of corruption. |

? Do you guys actually know your country well?
