For me, he talks too much, has a large ego and is part of the cabal that Nigeria does not need now. Check his antecedents at First Bank, he was 'Emperor Showman'. All the Francophone newspapers that I read reported the exact opposite of what Reuben Abati had claimed in his press statement to Nigerians. Even before the summit, on January 26, 2012, the pan-Francophonic weekly magazine, Jeune Afrique, had reported “murmurs” of President Jonathan’s ambition. The report indicates that Cotonou “was surprised” by the information on the Nigerian president’s ambition. In the penultimate paragraph of its own report, Benininfo.com insists that the names of Gambia’s Yahya Jammeh and Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan had made the round as “candidates” in addition to Yayi Boni but the leaders of West African countries decided to support the candidacy of Yayi Boni.

According to La Nouvelle Tribune, it was only after these public announcements of support for Boni by other West African delegations, and after further pressure by Ghana, that Nigeria finally saw the handwriting on the wall and backed off. All the Francophone radio stations that I listened to on January 29 and 30, from Gabon to Benin Republic, Togo to Senegal, and Mali to Côte d’Ivoire, pretty much confirmed these details as reported in the newspapers. True, they confirmed it in the celebratory tone informed by the usual Francophone/Anglophone rivalry, complete with the usual hints of giant resentment but they were nonetheless all very consistent in terms of the details of Nigeria’s ambition. The Justice Lawal Uwais Stakeholders Judicial Reform Committee has indicted the National Judicial Council, NJC, of the Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu era of high handedness and abuse of procedure in its recommendation for the suspension of the Justice Ayo Salami, former President of the Court of Appeal, PCA.

The Committee therefore, in its recommendations which had been submitted  to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Dahiru Musdapher asked for the recall of Justice Salami from suspension.

In asking for the recall of Salami, the committee noted that the reconciliation between the former CJN, Katsina-Alu and the former PCA was critical to the renewal of the good reputation of the Judiciary in the country.

According to the report of three committees set up by the NJC to look into the matter, non found reason to indict Salam[/b]i and wondered how the recommendation for his suspension (Salami) [b]was contrived.

However, it established that the CJN (Katsina-Alu) wrote a letter as chairman of the NJC to the Justices of the Court of Appeal dealing with the Governorship Election Petition in Sokoto that they should “put on hold” the delivery of judgement in the petition until the petitions against them were cleared

I pray the strike stays for long. When we begin to buy fuel for 200/300 per litre then you would ask GEJ TO REMOVE THE SUBSIDY QUIK.

What has NUPENG strike got to do with the removal of subsidy?  After Kokori, NUPENG lost all relevance within the civil society groups/labour and you'll be surprised that they only go on strike for flimsy reasons.

My friend look for another reason to support the mindless policy but be sure the policy will bounce  back at you very soon.
