Now, I'm beginning to understand the low level our the standards has fallen down to. 'Family asked for N58m. Govt promised N30m. Family rejected. The press blew the story out of proportion and we are all crying wolf'. The fact: Kolapo Ishola was gov during Babangida's diarchical experiment. The experiment failed. Now he is late and family is assumed unable to take care of burial expenses for both the family and political followers, monetising like 90% of the responsibilities without giving actual cash, and some people are shouting blue murder. Kolapo Ishola was governor of Oyo State State when there were 'no-go areas' in the constitution and even their budgets and governance mode were srutinised by the military under IBB. My advice: Check and cross-check before contributing. |

The JTF concluded that: • Some public officers had declared assets far above what they owned as their declaration could not be substantiated - a case of anticipatory declaration; • Some public officers did not declare some of the properties they acquired while in office; and; the issue of ownership of foreign accounts and late declaration had been treated with levity.
