One thing I do not like about gay advocacy by some Western governments and corporations is the partisan nature and the unnecessary importance attached to it. I don't believe that personal matters should become overly prioritized by governments to the extent that security and crime, poverty and economy, and issues regarding the quality of social and public life become secondary considerations. At most, governments should play a more diplomatic role by ensuring that the rights of gay and religious people are equally fought. For example, anti-gay laws are not the only issue in Qatar. Christians and other religious people face discrimination and imprisonment as well, but little emphasis has been made on it. The same goes for right-wing governments who have made it a priority to attack anything the left supports. Truth is that advocacy should be accompanied by reason and diplomacy. Qatar was never going to change their rules and there is the risk of dividing the World cup along political lines.

However, this is not to say that I am against gay rights and equal marriage rights. No one at all should be made to live a miserable life to please a government or "tradition". I will only support any anti-gay laws if it is established that there is not a single gay person in Qatar. Governments exist for humans. Humans do not exist for the government but the government for humans. As long as a practice does not infringe on the rights and existence of others, no government has the right to subjugate any minority in order to promote a certain definition of "right", "morality" or "national identity". We are all species before citizens.

This has nothing to do with whether I like homosexual practices or not, but my nature is fairness and equity even with people I don't agree with. Whether you like gay people or not, stop imposing punishments and subjugation on them. I find it funny when religious people try to use nature and science to argue against gay people. The same nature and science that has discredited more than half of the events in the scriptures. Another one was comparing gay people to pedophiles. Gay sex is consensual while child sex practices take advantage of a child's vulnerability and inadequate sexual/mental development.

And lastly, y'all should stop blasting gay people as mentally deranged and stupid or with other derogatory names. You are not better than them, and you don't have any right to insult people doing what is frankly not your business. You guys should learn to mind your business FGS. I've never seen gay people gather to insult others. Some say gay people are forcing those practices on them.TBH I have seen many religious people forcing gay people into more "traditional" practices, but I have never seen gay people force someone to become gay. I have seen gay parties attacked and people killed but have never seen any straight parties attacked.

Who exactly is the tormentor? The fundamental Christians who keep talking about a fictional "LGBT agenda" are still the ones looking for how to impose religious revival and practice of Christian nationalism on everyone in their countries. Fundamental Christians do not even believe in the separation of church and state. Diversity is alien to religious fundamentalists. They enforce uniformity by nature. You either buy their narrative or you go to hell. Literally that's what they say.

Please note that my statement is not based on morality or even scientific facts but on common sense. I don't want to define morality for anyone here. Stop defining morality for others. The same Nigerians that have institutionalized corruption, malpractice and tribalism will jump out to preach morality whenever gay people are mentioned. Is that not stupidity?

I have noticed that people are confusing between the future state of areal warfare and how the US plans to fight future warfare. The heavy emphasis on BVR is how the US plans to fight future warfare not how the future of warfare is going to be. To better understand this lets look at the US and Russia development of it 5th gen fighters. The US is banking on making their fighters as stealthy as possible to greatly reduce detection range and the reaction time by the enemy. And from what we have seen in previous wars, they greatly rely on achieving air superiority before committing boots on the ground on any large scale so the ability of not being detected is very important to them. Russia on the other hand has a very defensive oriented fighting doctrine which they adopted after the fall of the USSR, unlike the US which relies on jets for deep penetration strikes, Russia is using long range missiles instead. Thus, Ru is building jets that have great dog fighting ability and some stealth characters that they will be stealth enough to the distance that BVR won't have a great impact on the battle field. Also development of long range AAM to be able to take out large slow targets such as AWACS to reduce the amount of information that the modern US fighters can have and tankers to reduce the amount of reach that US fighters will have. Plus, Russia has a large network of L- Band radars that can spot incoming f-22 and f-35. After spotting the f-57 will be sent and since it will be stealthy the distance untill detection by and incoming f-35 will be greatly reduced to the point maybe and I i insist maybe the SU-57 IRST can make and impact. That's I sometimes get bothered when people say that the SU-57 isn't as stealthy as the f-35 or f-22 cause they are built for two completely opposite purposes.

I agree with you and you do have a point about the changing dynamics of air warfare.
Air forces of other parts of the world are drifting to stealth tech aircrafts. Stealth aircrafts might be costly and unnecessary for African air forces considering, unit costs, maintenance and the adversary they want to use it against but getting an aircraft with BVR capabilities is just ok if you ask me.

Egypt already has Rafale F3er and they can be upgraded to Rafale F-4 semi-stealth standard
Algeria is most likely going to receive the Su-57E
Morocco has the latest F16Vs and reports have are flying about that they are in talks with Israel to help them convince the US to sell F-35s to them
I don't know about the South Africa maybe they may want to patronise India for the HAL Tejas mk 1A with BVR capabilities because it's a fellow BRICS member or they will upgrade it's Gripens fleet to Gripen E /Gripen NG

In my opinion though, not sure it's going to happen, I think Nigeria should purchase the FA-50 Golden Eagle from South Korea since it has BVR capabilities and it is a multi-role aircraft that can carry out ground attacks and air interdictions and it costs 30 million dollars per unit compared to the JF-17 block 3 that is not a multi role aircraft

The real dogfighting has almost faded away. Why it was called dogfighting in the firstplace was because of how the two jets shadowed each other with aerobatics. What occurs now is more of witchhunting than dogfighting.

I'll give two reasons why dogfighting is dead. Modern jets like the F35 are slow and not maneuverable. The F22 will be retired sooner as well. Secondly I believe you have noticed in recent times how unfriendly nations often fly their aircraft close to each other's airspace in other to get intercepted. Only those outside Air force knowledge think they're trying to provoke a war. It is far from that. Actually it is more of a game. Both nations do those things to find out how quickly they can intercept or both intercepted. It is a way of testing readiness and evaluating the performance of their fighters against enemy aircraft.

Now why the emphasis on detection/interception? It is currently believed that when two powerful airforces fight, the key to aircraft survival lies in who first detects another and fires his weapon. This is known as BVR warfare.

I just remembered another reason. Cannons are heavily used in dogfighting. But currently they are being phased out. The F35's gun is detachable and is rarely mounted. The Chinese J-20 carries no gun at all. What do you think?

The battlefield of the future will be decided by Technology, Integrated warfare and logistics.

Because fighter jets are evolving. The days of dogfighting are gone. Now you have to kill before you are located. Stealth and advanced weaponry and targeting is more important than maneuvering.
