A software engineer is the most versatile and future-proof career.

There are several times more software engineering jobs than data engineering and data science combined.

A good software engineer can easily learn data infrastructure patterns and become a data engineer in 4–8 weeks.

A good software engineer can easily learn applied statistics and machine learning and become a data scientist in 8–12 weeks.

A good software engineer can easily lateral within their company and become a product manager in 1–2 weeks.

A good software engineer can easily build a web or mobile app on nights and weekends to bootstrap a startup without any VC funding in a few months.

Heyy, guys. I'm a green in tech. I'm not in University currently due to the strike, but I want to have a job that I can learn and make a living with.

I currently enrolled at a TecHub and I'm confused to which to choose amongst the above fields in Tech.

I want something that I don't need a degree or years of experience to get a job with, a field that has high job availability and can work remotely.

Please which can i get that with between Full-stack development and Data engineering?

Region? Lol, the Igbo kingdoms weren't united. The Yoruba fought a civil war. Also, we have nearly 400 ethnicities. They were all separate countries. Besides, Usman dan fodio jihad was on already and he could had made a single Islamic entity if not for the British offensive.

Mars and space exploration is just a big waste of money.

That kind of money would be best spent on education, healthcare and maybe nuclear power plants and digging bore holes(national water reserves).

Africa is due for a mega drought. Countries like Uganda that depend on hydro power would have their economies destroyed
Waste of money? The Healthcare in most developed countries are actually really advanced even though affordability varies across the first world nations.

Last time I checked, most of the African nations are the people battling with drought, Healthcare, poverty and poor education. Also, Africa is not in any way a major contributing continent to the Mars space exploration.

No one owes Africa their money. Africa should fix itself and let others grow instead of stressing them with babysitting requests.

The stupidity of some Africans supporting Ukraine in it's war against Russia.

I can never understand the stupidity of Africans many of them in this thread supporting Ukraine, when the Ukrainians and there media are openly racist against Africans.
If that's the case, then Africans weren't supposed to pick sides or participate directly or indirectly in the white man's war since time immemorial. Everyone has been racist to the African man. Personally, I rather live in the West than any of the Slav nations.
I supported the Russian Army's special military operation in Ukraine in the early stages because I felt Russia was basically protecting its self and had a clear understanding about its objectives.
However, if you look into the matter you'll understand that the invasion of Ukraine is unjustified just like the American invasion of Iraq. The results of the Russian special military ops in Ukraine has been embarrassing and has destroyed the world's perception of its invincibility.

My point is, Ukraine has the right to defend its territorial integrity and Africans have the right to support whoever the want in this war. Afterall, both the west and east has "helped" alot in the development of Africa.

Very correct!!

I believe we in Nigeria calls them gunboats. They are actually harbor security boats or small patrol boats.

Anything vessel that can be armed is called a gunboat in Nigeria.

Here is a picture of a typical Russian gunboat
Are the Karaduwa and Andoni more of gunboats or SDBs?

Not to be that guy but in the name of peace lets at least try to get the nomenclature correct. That's a Harbour Security Vessel which is no more a gunboat than an RDV is an MBT! Those are gunboats.
I've always known these HSVs to be gunboats until I started studying about the Pacific theatre of the second world War. Don't know why the Nigerian Navy calls it so tho.

Yall suggestions will be highly helpful. Thanks, I appreciate.

Nigeria makes less than 25 billion dollars a year from oil .......for a country of 150 million that's nothing ...that should be Lagos revenue

Until every Nigerian pay average of 150,000 naira in tax its impossible to develop this country
So you think we have a 50% accountability for the tax we pay currently? Why increase the taxes when we aren't even accountable for the tax we're currently paying? The standards of living are low and the people are broke. Increasing taxing is unreasonable and only leads to anarchy.

We need to have atleast 90% accountability for the tax we're currently collecting. Too many loopholes and tax frauds starting from the lowest level. Like officials over taxing market women for personal gains or big men hiding their wealth.

Yeah, it is. After all, my country only admitted Generals kids into theirs and let others waste. Cut this talk. We both know corruption exists everywhere but it's near zero level in saner climes.

I don't oppose your thinking but what would you do when you work hard to get a job in Nigeria only to be given to people who have connections? I'm a witness. Nigeria failed me when I needed her the most.

The Nigerian Armed forces is the symbol of our national unity. It's supposed to be the most respected institution in the country. I view them as men of honor but will criticize when they do something I feel is morally wrong. If we don't criticize, we'll all live as fanboys in a false narrative.

One of the main reasons of this thread is to celebrate successes and discuss security issues. We've all talked about Russian success and incompetence in Ukraine, South African success and losses and Congo and Nigeria is no different.

Lol and they rant of immaturity, you guyz are free to criticizes the government OK. But trying hard to bring the military into it is no no for me and I will react to it harshly.

This government will go, a new government will come and the circle continues but our militaries, our heroes will be here to work with the government the citizens voted, defending this country with their blood while we sleep and snore. My father served in Liberia and lost my uncle northeast but yet you see ignorant Nigerians rejoicing to his death, I was so heartbroken to see the citizen he and his colleagues died for rejoicing to their death such ungrateful beings.
I actually don't disrespect the military, I criticize. I have my brother, uncles and cousins in the officer corps but still make my honest assessments. I can't come here and start saying and agreeing with every decision of the military because I have people there. No.

I say the truth, the way the common Nigerian who knows no one sees and feels.
