The rotesters were not supposed to be there. There was a curfew. A curfew was imposed because acts of arson and looting were already taking place.
Nigerians should eschew sentimentality and victimhood. It is very irritating.
Why block the most important highway in Lagos to protest against Police?. Itwas most cowardly and I am perversely happy that many young people have lost jobs, livelihoods and careers due to the reduction in FDI caused by the demonstrations.
Guys will learn the hard way and generationally that you don't ever misuse your freedoms.
In SA the same stupidity. A corrupt politician jailed for stealing from a generation of young people and same youths wrecked their own country protesting the Judgement.
A generation of dunces.
Damn. Curfew? Heard this countless times. Curfew was 8pm. People were hearing shots at 6:50 pm. We got no excuse for killing our people. Why don't you arrest them? Was the Army invited?
Things were already bad before those protests. Nigerians protested not only because of Sars but inequality and bad economic policies. We all saw the looting of warehouses that followed. People were hungry and poor. SA and Nigeria are different situations entirely. One is using the cover of protesting for a politician to loot, cos of poverty and unemployment. The latter, is fed up with its government. Only one thing relates both, i.e Poverty and unemployment. Its the fuel for protests and anarchy

Was any of the death due to bullet wound from a rifle, amnesty couldn't even give accurate figures mtcheew.
It's not about the number of the dead. I don't know why we keep defending things aimlessly.
Was the Nigerian Army at the toll gate? Yes.
Were protesters shot and injured? Yes.
Did we lose at least a Nigerian citizen to a Nigerian army bullet? Yes.
Case closed.
Firstly, the Nigerian army wasn't supposed to be there. I don't know if there was any official invitation by the government.
The Nigerian army wasn't supposed to shoot live rounds on its citizens or at any target cos it wasn't a violent protest. The Nigerian army wasn't shot at or assaulted. This is a total breach of the Nigerian army rules of engagement and international laws guiding human rights.

Crayfish09:
1) yes, many law enforcement agents kill their citizens especially black civilians and many get away with it. Are we living in a different universe? Secondly, Trump recently pardoned convicted criminals who killed civilians for fun in Iraq.

2) yes, they not only allow but encourage extra-judicial killings of people. You are more likely to be shot by a US officer than by a Nigerian officer because unlike in our case, anybody could be armed in the US so they are more ruthless.

3) the Free Syrian Army, Al Nusra, etc all enjoy US support even though they have been caught behaving like Isis on many occasions.

This is just the tip of the iceberg self.
Stop mentioning Iraq and Syria. Those are warzones. Let's talk bout mainland United states.
You talk about black people been killed. Yeah. We all know about racism in the U.S. Nigeria is a predominantly populated by black people. What is the excuse? Tribalismhuh We have no excuse for extra judicial killings. Just because a first world country commit crimes, doesn't justify us doing the same thing. Mind you, Nigeria is worse. You talked about weapons in hands of civilians in the U.S. Do u have any idea the large amount of weapons in circulation in Nigeria? It might not be as much as the amount in the U.S,but it is a bad situation cos we have no data and majority ain't licensed.

You are even taking things too far. Nigeria hasn't done 1/20th of the atrocities USA has done. Nigeria needs to grow balls.
Do the U.S use its law enforcement agencies on its people? Does it allow the extra judicial killings by its police on its people nearly on a weekly basis? Does it government allow organised bandits and terrorists kidnap school children, ravage its lands for a decade?
Damn. People will still argue. We should be truthful. Our government is slow in reacting

I'm even ready to learn now, please lecture me on how this deal is a good deal.
Honestly, for the Army i will prioritize UCAVs over helicopters. I hope the deal is for the airforce, even though its for the airforce, it should be the supercobra variant.
In the army purchase scenario, we should prioritize the purchase of IFVs, APCs and MBTs to cover, occupy ground and protect our infantry. For now, the army don't need this expensive choppers. We all saw the supplementary allocation for the Army. If this deal is real, it will take a large chunk of it. Our problem isn't aircover, Bokoharam don't have aircover but they conduct successful operations. We need good and fresh capable troops and effective ground equipment to end this COIN war. The army need ground equipment, rather than making these purchases. It isn't a good deal.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Stormtrooper11(m): 8:15pm On Jul 28, 2021
Whyem15:
Thank God the deal was blocked. Why would the army be spending $800 million on helicopters when they have huge defect of tanks, artilleries, and other ground systems. Common protected troops carrying vehicles they don't have they are now going to buy 12 outdated AH-1 helicopters. I guess it's the APKWS that is carrying the bulk of the cost but it is still misplaced priority. The implication of this is that the army is basically trying to use almost all the cash they are getting from the supplementary budget to get the helicopters.
AH-1 is old for God's sake. They don't even know when they would be getting another allocation of this magnitude and they want to waste the opportunity to get hundreds of IFVs, tanks, artilleries and MRAPs. Fvcking morons sad
Whyhem said the "f word" grin they really made him angry grin

I have seen sars officers pull trigger with the mindset that nothing is in the chamber. He was pulling pressing it like shebi nah gun
There is no reason justifying pulling the trigger on the citizen you swore to protect. That is murder.

You brought this here to counter but it still does not prove the point you want it to.
We all know accidental discharge happens alot because some of this junior officer's in the force are not yet ripe to handle a rifle.
Even in the army accidental discharge do happen.
Most times you have your gun on you with the mindset that the gun is not corked or on safety, sometimes you don't know there is a round in the chamber of the rifle.
What I want is the stats that prove that a lot of individuals arrested by the police are innocent
What do you mean?
The policeman pointed his rifle to the victim, with the intention to kill. There is nothing like accidental discharge. Nothing would had happened if the policeman didn't pull the trigger. The policeman should know better, not to "play" with his rifle

are you celebrating Boko haram kidnapping our soldiers or what, sometimes we should reason before we post things, we have military men serving our nation on this thread, also friends and family members of this kidnapped service men might be here too, even if you have no atom of patriotism in you at least have human sympathy and mutual respect for your fellow Nigerians, your post and the way you guys glamorise Boko haram is same as you kidnapping and killing them yourself..
Sometimes, i feel we so called "patriots" are taking things out of context. Bokoharam posted it. @yoged shared the information to give us a full story to identify and know our people kidnapped. He isn't performing propaganda for the enemy. He is informing us.

See, most Nigerian military officers or staff should never trust anybody that is a Nigerian american and sent by the American government to work as engineers or any position in our offices, airport etc, some of them might be spies working for the American government.

I read on this thread than a Nigerian american engineer was sent by the American government to work as a stand by engineer for some jets.

See america has an advantage when they accept foreigners into their country and make them citizens, some of these people might who ever they maybe most times have no loyalty to their country of birth or ancestry even if they have ties there.

The fbi recently pressured a chinese american to spy for them in china, he rejected and they started blackmailing him until he was almost put in prison.

That is the fbi tactics of spying in Nigeria, they send in a Nigerian with american passport who can be a professor or anything and he spies for them and return information to his fbi handler. Thsy do that because it is easy to open up to a black guy that looks Nigerian than a white American.

Read the article below and learn

It's either he was hit meaning he was flying too low(which is unlikely since it was a night operation) or the Aircraft itself developed a technical fault midair(most likely). It's high time we ground or phase out the Alpha jets or use them & do trade by barter with any country that will give us infantry hardwares or spare parts etc. We kuku no get pass two currently that are operational, the JF 17s & the Tucanos will fill the void.
Damn. U mean we don't have more than 2 alpha jets operational? Ha!. We need to consider two squadrons of m 346s. This is unacceptable
