RomanceRe: How Often Do You Offend Your Partner & How Do You Reconcile? by stpat1(m): 11:59pm On Nov 22, 2012
If you truly love her then you just have to avoid too many quarrels. This may end up breaking you guys up cos both parties will start viewing the quarrels as a sign of incompatibility and then the flame and excitement will start decreasing so fast.

For mine, now its just about once a week and it's over very minor stuffs that doesn't even scratch the relationship. Though there was a time it was almost every 2 days. We noticed it was tearing us apart, so we sat down, talked about it and adjusted.
CareerRe: Which Location Is The Best For Your Head Office? 90% Says Lagos by stpat1(m): 10:26am On Nov 21, 2012
It depends of the nature and aim of the venture.

Business/ Commercial : Lagos
Political: Abuja
NGO: any where, depending on the targets. Eg polio: North, youth empowerment: Niger delta, etc
Oil and Gas: Rivers
Fruits agriculture: Edo
Etc

So you see why I said it depends on the nature and aim?

Yomieluv: Fasola is loosing it,he needs to change its tatics.

Let him face more pressing need of the people, rather than all these nonsense.

Where do you want us to park our cars,on the roof?
Oga Fasola,if you can't rule again, simply resign, don't use all these to cover your incompetence
Did you think at all before commenting? When you were planning to buy a car was it on the road you planned to park it? Is the public road your parking space?

Well he has said it countless times, if you cannot abide by the rules, go find a lawless jungle to live in.

RomanceRe: My Fiancee Snubs For Hours Or Days After A Disagreement. Is it normal? by stpat1(op): 6:48am On Nov 17, 2012
Gloriagee: @ op, ever heard of the term 'Irreconcilable differences'. From the little I know, couples such as Ryan Reynolds+ ex wife's Scarlet's divorce have been traced to this word which I think is a camouflage for long term incompatibility.

I'm particularly worried that you're already planning to divorce pre marriage. Good grief, this is a defeatist attitude. If you love her enough, let her know how much this attitude is hurting you. You can prolong the courtship period and give her allowance to change. Never, marry anyone that you're already planning to have a whooping miserable 4 years with. Except you're a sadist/ psychopath, your partner's misery = your misery, and d'u really want to bring a child up in a hostile environment.

I believe she can change, but she'll need to make a conscious decision to do so. Expect lapses along the journey till she attains self mastery. It might also help if you can look back and identify if there are certain stuff you do that triggers the silent boiling anger. It might seem trivial to you but be major to her. Honestly, wish u guys make it.
Pls I'll advice you resign from your present job and take up counseling. Thanks

BusinessRe: Make Money In Nigeria By Investing In A Video Game Centre by stpat1(m): 2:59pm On Nov 14, 2012
I don't know about now, but about 5 - 6 years back, it was a money spinner. I used to work in a games center after my secondary school. We were netting an average of around 12,000 per day. Business was best on weekdays because of students that come around.

The best place to site such biz is where you have lots of schools. The good thing about this biz is if its sited in an area with fairly stable electricity.

And when the police manage to catch the perpetrators and get a court conviction for death sentence, some bad odour people will now begin to run down the governor for signing their death. All in the name of human rights.

They will soon meet their water loo and never live to enjoy the money.
Ive noticed most men i know tend to gravitate towards their mothers than fathers. I dont think its "more repect" but really just the result of something that is just natural. I know the same can be said for young girls and their closeness to their fathers.
That's just it. Its not that I respect my Mother more but I just find out that I'm closer to her and more comfortable with her.

PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Cant Ban Okada For He Belongs To The Working-Class, by stpat1(m): 7:06pm On Nov 11, 2012
Banning Okadas will only worsen the already bad situation in a city like Lagos, there are too many disadvantages that will result from the ban. The already hectic traffic will now be unbearable, there are not even enough buses and cabs to handle to population, there will be economic loss time that will result in the time spent in getting a bus and reaching your destination after escaping the traffic, you'll be throwing thousands back into the unemployment market, you will be bringing untold hardship upon families, there will be increased crime and illegal activities just to survive, the list is endless. All these just because you feel there are cases of accidents and a few who don't want their cars scratched? Its pathetic.

Osho is realistic and sensitive to the masses.
FamilyRe: Marrying A Girl From A Broken Home...does It Really Matter? by stpat1(m): 8:56am On Nov 11, 2012
jidegirl12: I beg your pardon? Are you serious right now or you're just confused?
I wonder why its so hard for you understand this simple logic. I lived in a neighbourhood with kids and friends from both situation. I have friend that were being taken care of by single parents. When were always free to go and do what they liked right from when school closes till when their mum or Dad closes and comes home in the night. All the parents needed to do was ensure there was food in the fridge for them when they get back from school or the others family gives money for lunch. I know how the females ones amongst them also fared. They were more exposed to different stuffs to early as expected when growing up is such situation where there is little or no supervision.

Even the ones whose parents remarried didn't fare too differently because I notice their step mum was always very careful not to make them feel unloved and by this always let them have their way. Unlike other kids with both parents. Others have to live with their grand parents cos they were not comfortable with their step parents and you know grand parents are not usually wary or strong enough to instill the needed discipline and lessons of life to these kids.

I hope with this I've not confused you the more.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Flags Off Lagos Sea Food Festival by stpat1(m): 8:41am On Nov 11, 2012
Sometimes I wonder why its the immigrants that are in Lagos that are always quick to make ethnically biased comments. Real lagosians do not beef other citizens and we are very accommodating. So please all these Yoruba coalition trying to paint lagosians as proud people, pls talk about your state and don't because you are Yoruba you are automatically Lagosian.

Eko Atlantic where are you from in Lagos? Trigar12 what about you? Burger01 you nko?

tpia1: are you serious?

being from a two parent home means someone cant be loose? huh

where did you get that from?
Of course single parents are less watchful over kids cos a single parent is definitely always busier. How do you want me to explain it.
FamilyRe: Marrying A Girl From A Broken Home...does It Really Matter? by stpat1(m): 11:55pm On Nov 10, 2012
tpia1: if we're talking of looseness, in nigeria, or among nigerians, can you repeat what you just stated?
I'm talking about in Nigeria, looseness as in being too free to go out or do things without the watchful eyes of the parents.
FamilyRe: Marrying A Girl From A Broken Home...does It Really Matter? by stpat1(m): 10:38pm On Nov 10, 2012
Let's not be too sentimental about this. I will not say it definitely has much effect on the kids but the truth is that children from broken homes are less disciplined compared to regular homes. They are more loose, they see relationships in different ways, its either they are too harsh to their man or they are just simply too vulnerable. Its Gods grace.
Car TalkRe: Which One Should I Go For? Honda Accord Halla 95model Or Camry 94 Model Orobo by stpat1(m): 3:31pm On Nov 10, 2012
No need for long thing. Go for the orobo.
Its more classier, its very rugged, its fuel efficient, its parts are more readily available than the honda. I've driven both so I know what I''m saying.

My 2 kobo.
