FoodRe: Reduce Rice Consumption To Once A Week, Director Urges Nigerians by stpat1(m): 9:29am On Oct 27, 2012
superior1: I am not sure this man is serious, what about increasing rice production in the country on the alternative?
Simple. If Nigerians love rice so much then should it not be a good rean why Rice production should be increased? Since you are sure of a ready market for it. Will it not create thousands of jobs right from the process of planting, nurturing, harvesting, parboiling, bagging, selling etc.

BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by stpat1(m): 6:21am On Oct 22, 2012
Peacemaker & El Matteo, pls let's drop this issue. To me its like making a mountain out of an ant hill. Diversity in ideas, goals and aspirations is what makes people unique and the beauty of a forum is having people express their views from different angles.

Eleven, the meeting will address issues that have already been identified and solutions suggested. Its so because the speakers are mostly those that have tested the murky waters of the business they intend to talk about and are here to partner and invite investors to work with. Before the end of of the meeting, other issues will also be raised and we can collectively address them.

I think by now the group email should be running and if possible the agenda communicated to us. Mabelly, I know the task is not an easy one but pls try and vet the forms, know what each person wants to talk about or has to offer and then select the people that will need to present their biz idea that day (they are all important but of course everybody cannot talk that day). Others will be read out and interested investor and partners can meet the concerned person and relate.

I'm going in for a job now and I pray to be out before friday so I can be in lagos for the meeting.

Best wishes.
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Pardons Two Prisoners Condemned To Death by stpat1(m): 5:49am On Oct 22, 2012
Now where are those that were crying foul the other time that Oshiomole has sentenced 2 inmates to death. This is to show that the man is not a life taker and since they did not commit the murder themselves why would he take their lives. He's a very rational man.

Kudos

El Matteo: Another example of my success with †ђε method I spoke about...

In my final year when we had τ̅☺ do our projects, we had τ̅☺ do data analysis. There were guyz đα̲̅τ̲̅ collected nothing less đα̲̅τ̲̅ 30k τ̅☺ do it. All I did was go τ̅☺ google aπϑ with †ђε same method I shared, I found many ebooks on data analysis. I picked a few good ones aπϑ mastered them.

I did my data analysis myself aπϑ also did F̶̲̅Õ̳͡я̅ some of my class mates aπϑ got paid. This was through some free information I got tru †ђε same ebooks u aя̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ quick τ̅☺ condemn. I need not tell u how much I made from this.

Once again, dnt throw away other pple's ideas cos u dnt subscribe τ̅☺ it. It has worked F̶̲̅Õ̳͡я̅ ♍ε̲̣̣̣̥ aπϑ can work F̶̲̅Õ̳͡я̅ someone else.
It wudnt even hurt a fly τ̅☺ try it cos u aint paying anything cos I JUST GAVE FREE INFORMATION ON HOW Τ̅☺ GET FREE INFORMATION.
Hope you'll be at the meeting. We look forward to meeting you.
FamilyRe: Wake Up! We Need To Talk by stpat1(m): 7:14am On Oct 21, 2012
Chai, you remind me. It was my mum that did it and that was the only time. She woke me up quietly in the middle of the night to discuss my school issues with me. Well I must say it had a positive effect cos after that discussion I did all I could to get back to school cos I really felt how it bothered her so much. Now I'm happy that she did that. Sweet sensitive and understanding mum.

mabelly: We would like to take you up on this offer, your contribution towards venue is highly needed buh what i dont understand is if you'r going to be contritubing to our first meeting in lagos since you work and live in abuja?. Please do reply
On the venue issue, I suggest we make use of a decent public school. This is because the meeting will be best held in an enclosure for sound clarity and to ensure unfavourable weather does not hamper the program. The school seats and tables will also avail people to sit and jot comfortably.

Then light refreshment can be sponsored by a few of us that volunteer to do so. So for that we have to have a rough knowledge of the number of people we are expecting.

Just a suggestion. Better ones are welcome

mabelly: Stpat1, i have a business to discuss with you buh would love to do this at our business meeting. So looking forward to seeing you.
No wahala mabelly, I will endeavour to be at the meeting cos I know there will be a lot to gain from meeting great minds. It will also be an opportunity for me to meet some of my investors that I have never really met in person. I will be there with a couple of friends and investor who are looking forward to partner with people with ideas that will be symbiotically beneficial to all parties involved.

BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by stpat1(m): 6:42pm On Oct 20, 2012
Pacemaker: I don't consider this innovation. Nigerians can do better that this ebook nonsense. What is ebook if I may ask? Read my thread and tell me if there is any mention of ebook. We are trying to build an industry like linkedin, intuit, zappos, irokotv and you guys are here talking about ebook? Use your intelligence to create something and don't follow others. I may withdraw my partnership with 2ruik and co if what I will be hearing is ebook. Why can't you guys think of things that will attract diasporians so they can invest in your ideas?
I consider this harsh. The guy was only giving what he has to offer. Different people have achieved different levels and if this is the little he has to offer then it should be appreciated. Note that he did not ask to be paid for it. You never know, maybe its just someone out there needs.

I know there are guys here embedded with great ideas and innovations who only need a little push and support to manifest the greatness in them. We hope to be able to help them explore that arsenal of ideas and bring it to reality.

Let's try and encourage everyone so some don't get discouraged thinking their contribution will be rejected or considered unintelligent.

ezysit: i want to sincerely thank everyone that contributed positivly one way or the other to this wonderful thread,am excited to see positive minded Nigerians planning harder for the betterment of the Youth. am suggesting that every member should know the agenda of the meeting,so that the members must have known what he/she will contribute on that day. pls @mabelly take note, you can send the agenda to members emails or what do you guys think?
Yes that's exactly what it will be. From the forms we can know what each person has to offer so I'll suggest that it be communicated to the people that will need to give a little break down of the idea they have, and how others can benefit from it. Be it in solo biz, partnership, online biz, investor, where to invest etc. Each of the speakers can be given about 10 mins to tell us what they have to offer.

Just a suggestion. I'm sure mabelly, 2ruink and others have it all ironed out but we still need to give our support to ensure everything turns out a success.

Truckpusher: Capital punishment is another form of revenge ....I CALL IT INSTITUTIONALIZED REVENGE ...it's shameful because this generation is civilized and should know that an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind.
What do you mean by civilised? Some states in US still practice the good old capital punishment for murder cases, asian countries do for corruption, drugs and murder so how does ours make us uncivilised?
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Signs Death Warrant Of Unmanageable Death Row Inmates by stpat1(m): 11:20am On Oct 19, 2012
erniok: what happens to the appeals pending in courts sir. tomorrow, you will come here shouting that your rights are abused.
Yes rights would have been abused if the governor did not take those actions. If you read carefully and understood the post then you'll agree that its the best decision taken. These convicted murderers and they've been on the death row for years, they've attempted to escape from custody and the prison authorities have recommended their speedy execution because they have become unmanageable.

Remember 2 others were converted to life imprisonment while 2 were set free. Justice delayed is justice denied. Kudos to a proactive governor.

Kudos to the comrade governor. Its a step in the right direction. What has to be done should be done. If the court has sentenced them to death for years and from the recommendation of the prison authorities, its a welcome.

Peeps there are a lot of construction work going on around the country try and key in into the opportunities that abound. Branding is another good avenue for making good money.

FamilyRe: Am I Extravagant With N80K And Above Monthly Spending? by stpat1(m): 9:58pm On Oct 17, 2012
MuNeme: @post
I think the amount you spend should be looked at in comparison with how much you earn.
If that 80k represents say 20% of your monthly income, then you are good.
However, if such exependiture is above say 70% of your income, then I think you need to take measures to block some waste pipes.
Goodluck
This is the best answer that has been given here. You can only determine if u are extravagant or not if you compare that amount with ur earnings. I tell u, I have a cousin there in lekki that earns about 120k monthly yet he still saves about 20% of his earnings after paying his tithe. Though he has no kids yet but is married and wife dosen't work.

So my guy if that amount spent is up to 70% of ur earnings then u need to cut it. It is not how much u earn that matters but what u do with amount u earn.

BusinessRe: Ebay And Tons Of Income Opportunities! by stpat1(m): 5:08pm On Oct 16, 2012
Ebay is not for Nigerians. Infact with Nigerian IP you won't be able to sign up for an ebay account. For you to receive money for items sold on ebay, you have to get a paypal account which is not open to Nigerians. All the benefits of selling on ebay you highlighted are true but the sad news is that Nigerians can't enjoy them. If you try to cut corners you'll end up with nothing cos your account will be blocked.

I also intend going to china to buy aluminum rails that is used for door and window frames. I won't mind using the services of someone, organisation or agents in china to help me procure and send down the goods before I pay or I can pay some percentage upfront to the organisation if you have an office in Nigeria and complete payment when my goods arrive. 08060089362.

jackbennie: @2ruink i suggest the venue should be some where in Victoria Island any of the fast food eatries
Well your opinion on holding the meeting in VI is well noted but I'll prefer we leave that to mabelly to vet the submitted forms and the meeting should be held where the proximity is closest to the majority.eg, It won't make sense if VI is chosen as the venue with only 2 members from there while you have over 50 members from the mainland. So over to you mabelly.

oluface: Well its the business i do that i want to introduce him to. The second one is a VERY HOT CAKE BUSINESS which you can start with 90k and u will be making over 2k as profit everyday. THE MOMENT I TELL U THE BUSINESS U WILL KNW THAT U CAN MAKE MORE THAN THAT DAILY BECAUSE ITS WHAT PEOPLE ARE READY TO PAY FOR EVEN A CHILD OF 10YRS WILL PAY FOR IT. I SWEAR BY ALLAH. NOT TRYING TO CHEAT U BUT WANT TO SELL MY IDEAL IN EXCHANGE FOR MONEY CHIKENA.
Oluface, well I see nothing bad in you getting something in exchange for a lucrative idea. I'll like to ask some questions though, where can the biz be run? Can it be run in any state or a particular state? Is it a buying and selling biz or rendering or services? I,m interested but I'll just like these questions to be answered. Even paying will be in installment cos you"ll surely help to nurture the biz. If you leave you number I can give u a call. You can also mail me if u prefer that. saintpatrics@gmail.com
