Romance › Re: Why Do Broke Men Expect Women To Want Romance Without Finance? by stpat1(m): 9:35pm On Jul 28, 2012
[b]If my mother followed financial stability in picking a husband, I would have had a useless man for a father and had several step mums..

Thank God she had the patience and the foresight to see the potentials my father had.. Thats how she entered a marriage against the wishes of friends and family.

They called my father names.. Today every muthafucker who talked shit now adds the 'Sir' 'Oga' & 'Uncle' title to his name..

From no house, being kicked out in the middle of the night by a landlord from the 1 bedroom face-me-I-face-You to being owner of prime houses in top locations in Rivers State & Abuja and even being a Landlady of White men in Canada.

From foot patrol to being chauffeur driven with Mobile police escorts.

From using her wrapper for baby nappy to being an importer of Huggies and Pampers.

From no money to even afford public transport to flying First Class around the world.

From bend-down select to shopping to popping tags from High end designer labels.

From being just another Nigerian to being a dual citizen of both Nigeria and Canada.

From 'you will regret this and come back begging' to more than 25years with 5 kids and growing stronger by the day..

Guess what!! If my father had to pick between his wealth, his children and his wife.... GUESS WHO HE WOULD PICK?!!!! HIS WIFE!!

If a girl dont love me because I am broke now, I say FHUCK YOU VERY MUCH... When I get my money, come back, but dont try to act like my money is our money because it aint. I'll treat you the same way I treat my 50' flat screen T.V a commodity I bought with my money for my pleasure..

CHIKINA!
Guy thats it o. I feel you 3 much. I wonder who this Ileke-idi is. So you mean because a guy is broke at the moment he should not go for love.

Romance › Why Are Ladies So Quick To Ask "What Kind Of Work Do You Do?" by stpat1(op):
I've noticed that if a guy spends some reasonable time on the phone say like 10-15 mins talking to a girl, they are always quick to ask what kind of job you do. Is it too much for a guy to load, say #200 airtime (for the Airtel I use) to call a girl? I just don't get it with chicks of nowadays. It really pisses me off.

It would have been best if the Market section of nairaland be laid out like http://www.nairalist.com/ . It's easier to quickly post your stuffs and ppl can also quickly go straight to what they need and in which state. them all you'll need do is add the forum feature to it. it would be perfect.
just my humble opinion.

For those of you trying to make it look like I am dispelling African names, NO all I am saying is that some names are no longer common names that pple give thier kids even English, French, Polish, Arab etc names.
Ok Now honestly,

How many of you Igbo's will proudly give your children Ginika, Inkiru, Okoro, Ekweremadu etc
How many of you Yoruba's will name your kids Ojo, Opabunmi, Kokumo, Aremu, Alake, Faleti, Fijabi, Sikira, Sule, etc
How many of Hausa's still name their kids Adamu, Sule,
what percentage of Nigerians will name their kids Istifanus, Romanus, magaret, Zaccheus, Johnbull,

Tell me now mheeew
