YES!!! its possible, I did mine straight without NSE, I have my seal, stamp and certificate now

holutee:
Hello house, is it possible to do COREN straight without NSE, is NSE a must, I heard is possible but wanna confirm here first. Thanks

It was possible. But there is now a Memorandum of Understanding between NSE and COREN, so If you want to get COREN you have to first get NSE. I think this MOU started somewhere around 2016.
@Kadri4 - Please confirm the year you got COREN. Am sure it was in 2015 or earlier.

@Azekimo,

Seems the moderators deleted your comment about the Dangote Refinery job probably because you posted the number of their HR. Congratulations my dear brother on the offer. I am really happy for you. I am still expecting mine as mentioned before after supplying additional documentation. Am however not for graduate trainee, mine is experienced hire. Congrats once again on landing the job!

Hello Guys..

Please what is the most appropriate route for someone who is already registered as an Engineer in UK.
What will be the application route with NSE?
Thanks in anticipation.

It seems there is a direct route to NSE for you registered/chartered engineers from UK. Please confirm from the NSE website at www.nse.org.ng

Education › Re: Where Is The Best Market In Lagos For University Science Textbooks? by Structuralman: 7:38am On Oct 20, 2017

There is a taxi/Bus park located at CMS just as you descend the bridge. That park consist of mostly book shops. You will get any kind of Engineering/Science textbook there. You can also bargain the price. You may also try CMS bookshop which is a stone throw away but the prices of those book are fixed.

I hope this helps.

Can u imagine...just today I received an email that my application has been recommended for council......so what next now?

Next, you have to wait for the next council meeting which will be in December. At that meeting your application will then be approved and your name entered into the COREN register online after you have paid a regn fee of N35500.

Congrats in advance my fellow engineer!

Please house, how long does it take when your coren application status says 'reccommended for further vetting' how long does the whole process last for COREN

NB I'm already an NSE coperate member.

Mine took about two months before it turned to "approved"

I wonder what your Username, Password, Application ID and as well as Passport will be registered on a Test website. This is a temporary website for testing the efficiency of the main site.

I stand to be corrected anyway.

My thoughts exactly. However lets keep checking the original website and hope it comes up before 11:59pm

Note that registration and submission are two different things.
